Had to send the original one back due to poor quality. (got a tear in both elbows) LL Bean replaced to my satisfaction and hopefully will have better luck with the new robe!

Great robe, flannel like their shirts. Not as heavy as the Chamois shirt, just right for 3 season use. Ample wraparound.

Well made. Soft. Runs a tad larger than you might think. Not especially thick.

I absolutely love this robe, it's perfect. good quality & soft cotton material. I bought it for my boyfriend and would have even ordered a second one for myself if the exact same women's robe wasn't $20 more for some mysterious reason. sorry, not exactly the same...the women's has one less pocket lol

Good quality, great plaid -- but -- it's a tall, yet way short for 6 foot 3 inch man. It would be ideal for about 5 foot 8 inches, no taller. Hits at the knee; looks kind of weird.

Ordered a medium and it was huge. I'd recommend ordering a size down. Other than that, the quality is great. Will be exchanging for size small.

Hubby was hoping it would be heavier. He isn't wearing it. He is back to wearing his old tattered robe much to my dismay . But it's well made and attractive. Just not warm enough for my 76 year old hubby

A solid robe. I'm glad LLBean has not discontinued this product as they have so many other classic men's clothing (hello? pleated chinos?! Is that so much to ask?). They did, sadly, discontinue the chamois robe, which was a terrible loss. But, this robe is ok, even if you may miss the heavier hand and longevity of the chamois model.

Nice and soft and just the right warmth, well worth the wait to see it back in stock so I could replace an old favorite I had worn through. And when a neighbor complimented me on it, I was glad to tell them where I got it.

Dunno. Quality of the cotton fabric is much better than Ralph Lauren. Cut is for fat Americans and it should be cut 3 inches longer (listen to that product developers: America is not composed of midgets and dwarves and round people!) and somewhat more narrow. On the plus side black watch tartan is a great pattern and can absorb much spilled coffee without anyone really knowing. RECOMMENDATION: Stick with LL Bean for bathrobes but force them to make a a LONG version of all flannel bathrobes!

This robe (flannel) was more in the line of what I was looking for this summer & fall. Possibly a little warm for summer but right for fall, so middle of the road on all around use for both seasons. Length of robe was perfect. Sleeve length (34-35) was about an inch too long. I needed (33-34). The overall fit was correct for me (Large). It cleans up nicely, now I'll just have to see how long it last me. Overall I gave it 4 stars due to not being able to get a 'large' with 33-34 sleeve length.

I have a 12+ year old version of the same men's robe. The sleeve finally wore out on it and needed replacement. Both were similar in size and both made in El Salvador. I am sure I will enjoy the new one, I was somewhat disappointed in the weight of the fabric though, so I weighed both of them (Large Tall). The old 29oz, the new 19 oz - so 35% lighter. Hopefully it will still keep me warm in my quick jaunts outside in the winter. Worried that with washings, over time it won't last as long.

I really like the weight of this, works well in warmer weather. The sizing is the only problem. XL is my normal size but it was really big on me. I returned it and got a large and it "works" but would be nice if a little larger.

Good for a tall man . Being 6ft6 the length was good but material was thin . Good for fall or summer.

The robe I replaced which was also and LL Bean was of a much thicker flannel. Other than that I really like this. Big point: first got it in Large size because my older was it was HUGE. It does shrink on the first wash. Now fits great.

Got the tall 2xl and plenty of room. Comfortable flannel and soft. The tie is positioned pretty low for me (at the low Hip) but I just pull up and tie at my waist. All the reviews are correct in the flannel is only 1/3 the thickness of the older robes (many years ago) even though they are manufactured in the same country (do not know if it's the same manufacturing plant). I think we would pay more for a thicker flannel as in the days of quality over profit (my 2cents).

Fit was good, however the belt crumpled up after washing and has to be ironed each time you wash it. Bean should add something into the material to prevent this.

The robe and pants are a good fit and the plaid well liked. I was disappointed in the fabric after washing, it lost much body which gave the garment a flimsy feel. I don't believe it is adequate for cool winter evenings.

It wasn't the quality I was expecting at the price point I paid. Also, I opted for the insignia on the robe but it is small and kind of invisible because it's a bit small. Guidance on selecting the size of the insignia and thread color would have been appreciated.

Believe all the reviews when everyone says it is thinner than other L.L.Bean flannel products. Much thinner. Thinner than the sheets I have. Thinner than the shirts I have. But I actually don't mind too much that it's thin. It's very soft and it does the trick as a layer to throw on to get out of bed in the morning and make coffee. etc. before getting dressed. On the plus side you don't feel weighed down like with a bathrobe.

My husband was surprised to receive this robe as it matches one of his favorite shirts! Thanks to L.L.Bean!

I bought this for my husband to replace his well worn bathrobe. The robe provides plenty of coverage girth and length wise. The material is soft, not too thin or too thick whch is perfect since we live in an area that experiences milder temperatures year round. Overall, this is a very nice robe but I am only giving it 4 stars because the sleeves are about one hand length too long on his 6'1" frame.
