A light weight flannel plaid, certainly not winter cosy but would be good for travel - quite well made but with no attempt to match the pattern, which is perhaps not surprising. I bought a size larger for my husband in case of shrinkage in the wash ( which hasn't been needed yet ) as robes can always wrap in comfort. It made a nice enough gift.

A great comfortable robe with the warm of flannel. Good to have on a cold winter morning or night.

This is a nice weight robe. It fits perfectly and is warm but not too warm. It does not pill and shed like other robes I've had.

This is probably the 6 or 7th robe we have ordered ...same style, always with his Initials,it washes beautifully and dries to where it does not need ironing...our son will only wear the plaid..he is 3 years old in a 33 year old body...and the joy of our lives...it is the ONLY "housecoat" he will wear and he wears it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I can not say enough about LLBean, the wonderful customer service, the quality of the product, the speed of delivery ......thank you LLBean.....for continuing to serve the customer....especially our Noah! Picture is just one of many of the ones we have purchased!

This is the second men's Scotch flannel robe that I bought for my husband. It wears well and is the robe he always reaches for. I like the Black Watch plaid in particular. The flannel is medium weight and soft. It comes out of the laundry looking fantastic.

Classic! Soft woven flannel... This flannel robe is generously roomy and a perfect length for my husband at mid calf. I almost ordered up a size based on a few reviews. Glad I didn't! Warm but light, would be easy to pack for travel.

The perfect fit bathrobe. I bought one of these 20 yrs ago. When it finally wore out, I tried a few replacements that just didn't fit or feel right -- usually the waist tie being too high up on the ribs, restricting motion. This robe is cut perfectly, and the waist tie is actually at the waist! So you can move with ease, much more like a martial arts cut, which, btw, I really like!

This is a Christmas gift- so I really won't know what my husband will think. I'm assuming he'll like it. It has his name on it after all! Good quality! Great price! Thank you L.L.Bean for great customer service and speedy delivery!

Light weight but warm though not too warm - especially in southern climate. Fit/size is accurate. Very soft and comfortable.

I have had a few of these robes. They are well sized and they get softer with each wash. They are like a comfortable friend.

I did not actually see the robe on my Grandson and he was not particularly helpful with details. What should I expect from a 14 y.o.? He is approx. 5'10" and a very slim build. Both he and his mother said the sleeves were long enough as well as the overall length. This was the size Small. Overall he is happy with the robe.

This flannel robe is light weight yet warm, just what I needed for this fall and maybe all winter.

I read existing reviews before deciding to order this robe. I also had a chat exchange with an LL Bean rep. I'm 5-7 and was concerned about some comments regarding the length being too short. The rep told me the 'Tall' version was 2 in longer so that's what I ordered, a Tall large. Very happy with the fit, length is about 4-5 in below my knees. Arm length was a tad long but the cuffs fold up nicely and stay folded landing at the base of my thumbs. The weight of the material is what I would expect. Definetly not as lightweight as at least one reviewer commented. Very soft and comfortable. I did wash it before wearing and as one reviewer stated there was a good bit of lint in the trap, but the flannel is fine. A bonus- the belt tie is a separate piece, unlike other robes I looked at or tried where the belt is fixed (sewn on) as part of the robe.

I don't even look at other robes the few times I've needed to replace my husband's robe. They last forever and are soft and comfortable.

Have four L.L. Bean Robes Two Flannel and Two Chamois. The Chamois are my winter and flannel Spring and fall. Have two of each so I can change colors. They last so long that I need a change. Have been wearing L.L. Bean Robes for as long as I can remember and would not consider anything else. Always warm, comfortable look great and fit well.

Normally I measure a medium but I have to buy large to allow for shrinkage in washing, but I bought a medium and it is the perfect size after washing. It is also incredibly soft and comfortable, and not too hot. I previously had a polyester-type flannel and it was just too warm and uncomfortable. My only regret is that I waited too long to buy this robe. It's worth every penny!

My expectations were exceeded. I is very soft and yet heavy duty. Sure glad I chose LL Bean.

I really like this bathrobe. It's exactly what I wanted. Nice and light, soft fabric, but warm, and the colors are what I expected from the online picture.

My very very old robe I had was not going to get me thru the Winter. Decided to go with good old LL Bean because I knew it would be good!!! It is wonderful...of course!!! Will be very comfortable for many many Winters...

This is the second flannel robe I have bought my husband in this style. The first one was the navy/green and I got him the gray plaid this time. I get an XLTall and it fits him great. It goes a little past the knees and isn't too warm or too light. It's just right and he loves this robe. I'm so glad I can get online and order from L.L. Bean. I have ordered numerous sets of their flannel sheets through the years and they are fabulous. I live in a small town and would have to drive hours and search for hours to even find anything close to what I can order online. I also got him a pair of the gray scuffs with the sheep lining. He loves them too.

Fits well and is comfortable. I gave this a score of 4 because the blue plaid is darker than pictured.
