I tried both the M and L, and kept the M. I find it easy to pull on. The fit is long and not overly boxy. The shoulders/arms are aligned so that I have full movement. The length is enough to give me coverage while moving about in snow. It is lightweight but warm enough for activities like snowshoeing or skiing. The insulation is a very nice quilted fabric that doesn't stick to my clothes. Love the large front pocket and the additional zippered pocket to secure items. The hood comes around my face and will provide good protection from wind. The little leather tabs provide a tiny bit of style. Less boxy than the Katahdin pullover.

I ordered the green one first and LOVED it. As soon as this jacket went on sale again, I ordered the black. It is so comfy and I love the fit (a little oversized) I can layer if I need to, but I think it provides warmth on cooler days with no need for layering. I also love the drawstrings on the hem, it allows you to wear it straight or more like a sweatshirt style. 10/10 LL Bean :)

I rec'd an email to review these and I do have ONE - it's very cool. I like it. I'm more of a hoody person but I wear the one I have and like it. The pouch is wonderful for fishing - it gives a perfect place for your phone that won't fall out wading or in the kayak or canoe. My wife however LIVES IN THESE about 8ish months of the year. She has 4? maybe more? She's given them as gifts to 5 more people I can think of too. They are light and breathable and have a nice length. She mainly wears a t-shirt under hers...but you can layer as needed. They also make a very nice "mid" layer for me, especially fishing in winter. The hood is a nice feature for unexpected winds and rain. I'd have to say our family does love these a lot.

Ordered this for a very picky teenager. Package arrived promptly and the rest is history. She wears it under a Winter jacket. Takes Winter jacket off in afternoon, and keeps the Anorak on. Had the jacket for five months now and is holding up well. Bean boots and this jacket.....you can't go wrong.

This is a great little jacket! It's lightweight but the insulation gives it just the right amount of warmth for fall/spring weather. It's also great for winter running. At first I wasn't sure what size to order because I was between sizes on the measurement chart, but based on reviews that said it ran large, I ordered a medium, and I'm so glad I did. I'm 5'5, 170 lbs, and pear-shaped, and the medium fit me perfectly. The large would have been way too big, but if you're looking to layer bulkier sweaters or sweatshirts under it, you might want to go with the bigger size. I ordered the black, and it's a nice matte finish that almost looks more like a deep charcoal or a light black, which I really like. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter.....had to exchange for a small and feels a much better fit. She loves how toasty warm it is but still very lightweight, perfect for travels

I ordered a medium but it was too tight through the shoulders (I am a size 10 or medium in tops)...the mid-section & hips had plenty of room, however, I exchanged it for a large, which I like the fit; more room in the shoulders but not excessive. The length is just past my fingertips, which I like or the adjustable inside elastic pulls give the option of wearing it above the hips. If you are between sizes order the next size up. It's outerwear so you need room to move! The lightweight primaloft is warm without being bulky. The hood is a nice feature & fit...roomy but stays in place.

Fits perfectly. Warm enough for our mild winter so far (between 40-50 degrees daily) and a long sleeve shirt underneath. The hood is a perfect size to protect from rain.

Needs a layer, not all that warm but great at breaking the wind and water. I love it. Thanks

I was in between med and large by measurement so ordered the large. It is a bit roomy allowing for layering as I wanted. As others noted, hood is a bit large but works ok when front is zipped up. Loving it for hiking and yard work, even in light rain, probably not good for long periods in heavy rain.

I have two of these insulated pullovers and I wear them all the time! I pair them with the Bean's Cozy Pullovers underneath for extra warmth and a great layered look! I wear these with a warmer top underneath and they are very warm for cooler fall / early winter weather (low 40's to 50's). Also, they keep you completely dry!

Can't say enough good things about this jacket. I ordered a petite xs, and I am 5'3" 120 lbs, average to athletic build. I'm glad I got a petite, there was still plenty of room in the shoulders and upper back, which I sometimes have a problem with in petites. The jacket unzips almost to the navel, and I have not had a problem getting it on and off at all (might love being active outside, but I still want my hair to look nice, lol). So far it has served me well in the wet, breezy northern new york fall. The hood is also quite good and extends out far enough that my face didn't get wet. I plan to wear it until we get snow here, and will wear it in the spring until we get above 60. It's definitely more than just a wind breaker, there is a light insulation that is not at all bulky, very thin, but very wind proof and keeps you just warm enough down to right around what it says, about 45 degrees. Hope this helps anyone on the fence!

I am a rather youthful 70-year old, so I was very disappointed that it was so difficult to pull this jacket over my head. It looks great, but you have to get both arms up over your head to pull it down. (And no, I did not get one that was too small.) The four stars are because I'm still a fan of LLBean quality. My husband and I both had LLBean parkas that got us through the coldest of winters when we lived in the Chicago area.

This jacket is adorable and makes anyone look great! I love how you can tighten the bottom to have it more fit around your waist. The only downside I find is that it's very hard to pull over your head, but once I get it on it's fits perfectly and the next size up would be too big/loose. But overall, this jacket is amazing, warm, and cute.

I like this Anorak. It is comfortable and I like both the zipper and kangaroo pockets. However, its very difficult to get on and off. I have another one from a different retailer that has zippers at the bottom on each side which makes it easy to put on and take off. I'd recommend this on future versions of this Anorak.

This jacket was a lovely color of lavender and I wished it were just slightly longer in the body to cover my bottom when wearing leggings. I wore it outside only one day and it was quite warm for a 35 degree day. Definitely not a winter coat, but great for in between seasons. A little difficult to get in and out of, and I will look for this style in a full zip as all the insulation adds bulk making it more difficult to remove. That being said, I would have kept it if it had been a bit longer in length.

It runs big. I usually wear a Petite large in all L.L. Beans clothes, so when I got this in a large petite it was big. I will keep it as I can wear a sweatshirt under it for a perfect cool, wet weather jacket. It is very well made.

Beautiful but short even in tall. It's a solid product as my husband kids are using the same style and color. Black and navy fades in washes.
