I liked the style and color and it would have been perfect for the Monterey area year round foggy and cool weather. And I loved the color! was just too bulky and big.

It's nice, I like it, but with it being a pull-over it can be difficult to get off. It's not stretchy at all so you have to buy a size larger than normal to make sure you can pull it on and off. The photo makes it look longer and more form fitting than it really is. But it's warm and seems to be good quality material. I'm 5'6" and 140lbs and I bought a medium, I don't think I'd be able to get in and out of my usual size "small".

This anorak is good for moderately cold weather (down to 20 degrees) with decent layering. I do wish it had an interior chest pocket but otherwise, it works well. I like the elastic at the wrists, as it makes it possible to see my fitness watch.

Had to return for an xl so I could wear layers underneath.

Light weight but warm. Love the slant pockets. A little difficult to get in an out of.

Almost perfect, but the sleeves are too long! That shouldn't happen in Petite. It's even more frustrating than Petite pants that are too long.

It runs a little bit larger than expected but other than that it's an excellent jacket. It keeps you super warm and a must have in your closet

I really like my L.L. Bean anorak. It's the perfect weight for slightly cooler fall days, fits stylishly, and its length covers up my longer sweaters. The hood has been a good feature when it starts to drizzle on our walk, but isn't quite as high as I would like. Nevertheless I would definitely buy it again and recommend it.

I want to start by saying that I love love love this jacket! It's absolutely perfect for late fall early winter..though intend to run hot so maybe fall for most normal people. The only issue I had was that it ran a little on the large side, seemed more like mens sizing than women's, however even though I purchased this coat online, the store was more than happy to do an exchange for me! Would definitely recommend!!

I can wear a sweater underneath it and still have room to move my arms. It does not stretch so putting it on can be a little tight. The inside is insulated with the same type-ish of material. I thought it was going to be soft so I was a little bummed out. Nice deep hood and very waterproof. The bottom lands like 5 inches below my waist belt. Nice length on arms. I don't know if I'd buy again for how expensive and basic it is.

Love the jacket. It's perfect for walking the dog with all the pockets for treats & bags. Great to layer for colder temps. The only down fall of the jacket is the white fiber fill coming out under the arms & all down the sides. Not a very good look for the jacket. Very disappointing. I think LL Bean should stand behind this & find a solution. Even a lint roller won't take it off.

I love this for layering! Its great at keeping wind out and has a little bit more relaxed fit. If you want a fitted look I would size down. I have a 5'9" wingspan and the small covers my arms very well. The hood is really deep. I can wear a high bun and my face is still protected from the rain. I love that it is soft and warm while still repelling water. It is not the same as gortex but most water will bead up on the nylon. Would not wear alone in a downpour. I wear it almost everyday because it is as comfy as a sweatshirt. It looks and feels great clamming, squidding or even on an airplane. It washed great in the machine. I wook a star off because there was a couple of loose threads. One around the cuff and one inside on the quilting.

I had several of these long ago that I used for work and outdoor activities and loved them. This one is not as good quality-wise as the insulation is thinner. I just hope it's warm enough and would like something other than black. Not gaudy colors, but royal blue, burgundy, or dark green would be nice. I love anoraks and have 3 or 4 uninsulated ones. Glad Bean is carrying them again!

I bought this for cold weather cycling. It has kept me warm and is good for layers. So far my only concern is that the fabric is wearing and the white insulation is poking through the outer layer, under the arms, and I've worn it about a dozen times. I may in fact take it back but hesitate because it is so comfy.

I normally wear a size small but I ordered a size medium because I like a looser fit when it comes to jackets/sweaters. While the length is perfect the width is huge. I was a little sad to see they do not offer free returns. If you are looking for a looser fit I would recommend still ordering your normal size.

This will be good for fall and early winter in the south. I originally ordered a large that turned out to be too big all over. I think "slightly fitted" means through the hips. I do don't have big hips, so it wasn't a problem. Shipping was a nightmare, but that's a different issue.

A great pullover jacket for the fall. I can layer a T-shirt and lighter sweatshirt underneath. I would LOVE a version of this that was even more heavily insulated, as I am always cold. I was a little chilly in low 50s temperatures without any sun, but probably would have been fine in the same temperature on a sunny day.

I really loved this jacket, but hate that it is only a 1/2 zip. It is so annoying to put on and take off, especially is you have layers on. It would be perfect if they had just put a full zip in. I am returning this and will look elsewhere for another insulated coat. I am keeping the Mountain Classic Full-zip jacket that I purchased along with this jacket.

Great spring/ fall, all items I received run big... get at least 1 size down. Thankfully I was able to shrink the sweaters in the dryer.

I bought an Anorak women's 20 plus years ago from LLBean. It was an XL in blue greeen color. I still have it! The new one is smaller in size Dissappointing as harder to get over head. Why just 2 colors? Brighten this nice jacket up!

I wanted this to fit like photo, with description "Falls at hip." Instead, the front hem is below my crotch and the anorak completely covers my butt. Since it's pretty much a straight, boxy cut, this means less freedom of movement since it cuts across the tops of my legs. It seems they failed to shorten the garment length for petites. I'm 5'4" and ordered a petite large. The center back (from collar to hem) is 27". If it had a waist cinch, I could at least possibly use that to raise the hem to a better height, but it doesn't. My chest is 38D, so the boxy cut and anorak fit are certainly not slimming, so keep that in mind if you care about that. I do love the raglan sleeves. Usually shoulder seams are set too wide, even on petites, so raglan sleeves solve that problem. Ultimately, I'm torn. I love the feel and fit in general. I had planned to wear this hiking and around town for errands in the PNW, but the length may be a dealbreaker.

First of all, this runs true to size if not a little roomy. I'm 5'4", 145 lbs, fit into a size M, but I prefer to wear a size up (L, for weight fluctuation). The size L is very big on me. Lots of room to layer with. Second, it's not that thick. It's about the equivalent of putting two good sweatshirts on. It's nothing like the one they sold 10+ years ago and I'm disappointed. It's currently the end of August so I can't tell you how it stands up to the cold weather. Time will tell. Third, is that I have no third, lol, but I hope this helps.

Great looking jacket. Wish it had a full zipper as it is difficult to get off over one's head.

Love the zippered pouch in the front, the pockets below the pouch is perfect for gloves/hands. Washes well. Compact for packing in suitcase.
