I wish you would make more items for tall women. I'm 5'8" and most of the coats, jackets, tops, sweaters that I have ordered from you are too short in the arms and in the length.
I'm 5'8" and 163 pounds

I really like the look of the quilted anorak. However, I can't manage to pull it off without my shirt coming way up and showing my stomach. That is to say, it's a tight squeeze when trying to get it off. I'm 5ft8 135 lbs and got a Medium. It fits great except for the taking off part.

I really loved the look of this anorak but it just couldn't work for me. First I ordered a small, it fit perfect but the sleeves and the body were just a hair too short, so then I reordered a medium and it's gigantic and it looks like I'm wearing a trash bag. :(

I loved this anorak at first, for comfort, waterproof, and casual style, but the fabric pills. This is the 1st llbean outerwear purchase that have started to show wear in less than a year.

This jacket is nice. I love the colour and the kangaroo pouch pocket with second zippered pocket. I bought an extra large thinking a large would be small. I typically wear an extra large shirt (broad shoulders and bust). The extra large is very big and I thought the draw string elastic pulls at the bottom were really thin and didn't do anything effective to cinch the bottom of the jacket. The arms are quite roomy to almost bulky. I was also disappointed at the sleeve cuffs. For the price, I would expect a Velcro feature or a better looking cuff. It's gathering looks big and sloppy and the elastic is too tight. It kind of reminds me of my 1989 snowsuit.

This is a well made, fairly warm jacket. It's very attractive on. The reason I give it only 3 stars is because it is VERY DIFFICULT to take on and off (especially off). I've had to ask my husband to help me get it off! I'm 4 ft, 11 in., 128 lbs, and I purchased a size S Pet.

Love it but it's to small.. way to small. I have broad shoulders and it's just way to small. I'm a 1x in everything else and I can't even get this on. So sad. I'll prob switch to men's.

It's a super cute coat, and I get compliments on it all the time. But beware, the stuffing is already coming out. I've only had it for a few months and have not yet washed it. I would suggest buying something higher quality that holds up.

Well made, lovely spruce color...returned only because the first anorak that I purchased earlier this winter, diff color, started to leak the insulation where inner side of arm & side of jacket rub together. I was afraid this one would too.
I love this anorak in every other way. I hope that Bean would consider using tighter weave material for next batches, then I would not hesitate to purchase again and recommend! It is awesome for layering for above zero wear.

Although I like the fit and the warmth, it's perfect to walk in, it becomes pilly very easily, etc. Not sure why this happens but that is the only disappointment that I have with this jacket. I have to clean it every time I wear it. The photos are from wearing it one time. I purchase lots of LLBean clothes and continue to be a fan but I am very disappointed in the quality of this product.

the coat fits nicely, plenty of room to layer a sweater under. Which I found is needed, as it is not as warm as I expected it to be. I am disappointed that the insulation is pilling through the outer fabric. I love the large zippered pocket on the front. It is handy not to have to carry a purse. I feel secure with my phone and money zippered in. The length is good. It gives good coverage. The sleeve length is good. I feel that the hood is too large. when the hood is up it extends too far forward, blocking peripheral vision.

I really wanted to love this jacket because it would be great for hiking with a backpack. The fabric was slippery enough to make a backpack slide on and off easier. I liked the idea of the big pocket in the front because I like to have my cell phone handy to take pictures while hiking. BUT the fit was off - The arms were too long to be considered petite and the body was very roomy. I will return and probably try to size down to a petite medium. I am normally a petite large so I was surprised that the jacket was so roomy.

A throw back but not the same jacket. Loved the insulation for extra warmth. Lined jacket was too fitted --not enough room to layer under for freedom of movement and ease in getting it on and off. Leather pulls to draw hood tighter do not stay tight during activity. Only solid color available --black, was NOT a good color to be seen --such as the old solid red was. I don't hide in the shadows --when outside --one needs to be visible to prevent injuries.

This was amazing quality and great for spring and fall. Unfortunately I recently lost weight and bought a large which was way to big. I thought it would fit biased on other items I had purchased but this one runs bigger.

I love the insulated anorak -- bought one 20 years ago, and it's my go-to for xc skiing, snowshoeing, and working outdoors in early spring when it's 40 with a wind. I've been wishing for a new one for 15 years -- and now it's here. The outer fabric is coarser -- much lower thread count, so the fabric is not as tightly woven. There is less insulation -- so it's more useful as a 3-season item than in winter. It seems to have about half the insulation there was before. Colors: I'm not a goth so I dislike buying black. I'd love a clear sapphire blue, cranberry red, or emerald green the same color as the employee shirts -- please something other than black or muted colors-- and I'll pass on colorblock. I like to pick my own color combos. I feel like the catalog wants to dress us like a harlequin doll with the colorblock jackets and multi-color shoes. And altho it's supposed to indicate LLBean heritage, I don't like the shoelace drawstrings or pulls -- it's distracting from the good look of the item -- and screams to me that someone in marketing thought it was one more way to say LLBean on the product. Let Quality be your mark.

I love the look and feel of this jacket. The kangaroo pocket is huge and it is a roomy fit, once on, enough to layer underneath. But getting it on and off proved tricky with very little stretch. I guess for me, I should stick to a full zip jacket, or stretchy pullover. Totally bummed it has to go back.

I love everything about this jacket except...where the coat rubs under my arms it has started to ball after less a month of wear. I think it's the actual lining material coming through the outside lining of the coat. Other than that I love the coat but very disappointed as I paid $90. US.
Wondered if anyone else has mentioned this problem or is it a defect in my coat?

I like the jacket a lot, but I didn't weigh in that it was a pull over. That was my own mistake. I do find the white insulation coming out in little bits after having it just over a few weeks. Is that normal?

The jacket is hard to put on and take off especially as it must go over the head.

Love the style, lightweight fit, warmth and wind proof material. It is my go to jacket for running every day. With a base layer and mid layer, it is the perfect top layer to cut the wind. Have worn in heavy snow fall and stayed dry. It is a little bit hard to take off with the quarter zip, and I'm very disappointed that it started to pill under the arms after only a few weeks. Hopefully L.L. Bean can find a solution in the near future so I can replace it for another one and it doesn't happen again!

I have an old version of this same coat, and I LOVE it! I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it, and sadly it's showing some wear...I ordered this coat in a different color assuming it was still the same, maybe a few upgrades, not the case. Whatever Bean is using for insulation pulls/pills through the outer layer of material. It looks like white cotton balls all over, especially where there's friction (mostly under armpits) so attractive! I've only worn it a few times and it's going back. The older version was much better. I will continue to search for a replacement.

Although this keeps you warm from the get go there has been pilling. Other reviews said it happened to theirs but I was hopeful mine wouldn't have this issue.
At this point if I want to wear the item without having all these white dots on me I'll need to pull the little things off before I wear it and then during for whatever pops up.
I wear this to college and to run errands, I'm not doing anything laborious in this. Honestly yes it does it's job in keeping you warm but having to remove the little balls constantly it's not worth it. I expected higher quality from LL Bean.
Because customer service views this as normal wear ( after a single wear ??) you're stuck with the item. Which makes me a little weary of other items I've bought. Will they only last a season?
Definitely will need to look for a higher quality alternative.

I love the idea of this insulated anorak, and it really filled a gap in my outerwear collection. However . . . as others have noted in their reviews of both the solid color and colorblock insulated anoraks, the insulation leaks out in little white balls all up and down the sleeves and sides. It looks awful! I'm not sure why some reviewers have noticed this and others haven't. Maybe some anoraks were manufactured with different materials, in different places, at different times. In any case, I have a couple of these and sadly have to send them back. LLBean, please redo this great anorak with attention to this manufacturing flaw!
