You need patience to align the zippers correctly but overall a very good jacket that keeps me warm.

I really like the jacket but it is a little large. I had ordered a M which was a little too small. The problem being generalizing the size into S M L. I am in between a M and L. Where it is by size I usually get a 12 or 14 depending on style. It is always difficult. So I am living with the L.

I really liked the weight and quality of the material of this jacket, but the sleeves were too wide and too long. The snap on the sleeve doesn't help. The jacket was also a little wide across the chest. I had to return it since no XXS.

I have - & have worn to death - what I believe is the earlier version of this jacket. I LOVED that I could throw it in the washing machine. Not sure I'll do that w/this updated version due to the corduroy accents. Also not sure that I love this new version - but that's probably because no sooner did it arrive LL Bean was offering it @ a 25% discount. And it's not very warm.

Love the look and quality. The feel and weight are great. Seems to run a little smaller than expected through the shoulders but next size would be too large. Overall, wear it a lot and would reccomend.

Great jacket and fits well with Sweater or hoodie underneath or not. You will need to like rolled cuffs on the jacket as I find the sleeves long. But that's in almost all jackets for me. Love the green it's very neutral to match well with everything. The only reason I didn't provide 5 stars as I don't care for the upper zipper pull. The bottom is great.

My first reaction to this jacket was to send it back but at the end of the day I'm pretty happy with it. You see I find it hard to fit my muscular farm girl arms, shoulders and back. The jacket is cut so that it is a little restrictive of upward/forward arm movement. The fashion trend over the past few years seems to be to smaller diameter sleeves but at least these sleeves are adequate and I can wear a sweater under it and still be comfortable. I generally buy tall sizes when available but this jacket has plenty of length in the back and sleeves. The sleeves look nice with the cuffs turned up if preferred. I like that I can nip in the waist with snaps and give it some shape. This jacket is by far the most stylish option I've found for a light barn style or riding jacket. I chose the "dark ivy" color and the green is really nice. Not a flat or dull army green. The madras plaid lining is a nice touch. There has been a lot of mention of the zipper in reviews and I can see why. The zipper is left handed which takes some getting used to. And why make the top tab of a two-way zipper more decorative than useful? But I'm really happy that it has a two-way zipper at all so I can sit down and not have my curvy hips straining the material. It's not the perfect jacket, but there was some good thought put into the design and it is worth the money.

I have been looking for a fall jacket for a couple of years with no luck. I stumbled on this jacket and I'm glad I did. I ordered the green color and it goes with everything! If you want any shape, you need to adjust the snaps in the back, and it will still be roomy. It's fairly light, and I have not had a chance to use it when it's been very cold (but I have winter jackets for that). I prefer it to be a little roomy so I can fit a sweater underneath. Overall, I'm very happy with the jacket. The only issue I have is that the sleeves are slightly short, but i can live with it.

It was roomy, and it was stated that a midweight layer underneath was part of he design/intent. So it was generously cut without looking baggy. I loved it until it got cold. It doesn't stop the wind, and that's a big part of keeping warm. I was hoping it would be more than a light jacket, but I don't think so.

A nice, thoughtfully designed little coat - am so disappointed it won't work for me!
There were two main reasons:
COLOR: The navy is almost black and unflattering; the other color choices won't work for me either.
WARMTH?: I tried this on wearing my usual winter layers - a warm base layer under a fleece top. Did not feel that this coat would keep me warm enough for a Buffalo winter, and certainly not to minus 15 degrees. I gave it 4 stars because of this.
Also worth noting :
FABRIC: Just a personal thing - I prefer some natural fibers in a coat.
Maybe a lining with some wool would give it a nicer, less plastic feel. (This might not have bothered me as much if it was a less expensive coat.)
SIZING: I usually take a petite XS with LLBean, but ordered the XS and Small just to be sure. The Small fit me better.
Hope this is helpful!

Love this jacket but it is huge. The fabric quality, tartan lining and cut are all on point. The sizing is very large though. I am 5'8", 150lbs and 34DD and the small overlaps a good six inches in the front. I plan on exchanging for an XS, but I'm not convinced it will be that much smaller.

I do like this jacket. It runs a little large but then you can add a layer underneath which you will have to do if the temp is under 45 degrees. If you are looking for a warm jacket this is definitely not it. This is more of a spring or early fall jacket here in the northeast. The sleeves are long as many reviewers stated but I think they are meant to be cuffed and it looks cute that way. As for the zipper, it just takes some getting used to. I have several jackets that have double zippers so that you can zip up from the bottom and all have the same issue you just have to make sure you push through both zipper pulls.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It's a great medium weight coat and is just what I was looking for. I'd give it a "very good" if that were a choice. The zipper can be a little tricky, but not a serious issue.

I am 5'3" and 115lbs and I bought the XS petite jacket in black. The overall jacket is nice and keeps me warm. However, it is still a little big on me. If it wasn't for the buttons on the side that give it shape I probably would have returned it because it would look too baggy.

Very comfortable jacket. Would like to suggest a solid colored lining so this jacket can be worn with different tops and dressed up a bit. The sleeves are a bit long (that's ok with me), but the patterned lining shows when the sleeve is turned back.

I bought this jacket for my mom earlier in the year and she happy wore it to Scandanavia in spring. She thinks it's good for 50s weather but would need to layer up for the 40s. She's 5'-0", 6-8 on bottom, 4 on top and we decided to go with a regular Small. The sleeves need to be rolled up (which she likes the look of) but the body fits well where the chest isn't so roomy but the hip area was relaxed enough to accommodate her pear shape.

LOVE this jacket! I'm 5'9" 160lbs and the Misses' Medium fits great. I love the snap straps on the sides so you can tighten/loosen the fit. This is definitely not a "form fitting" jacket but it is super cute, comfortable, and you can dress it up or down. I wear this in the Spring and early Fall.
FYI - Not sure why this jacket is advertised... "Light activity: to 35 Moderate activity: to -15"
If you are outside in this jacket and its 35 out you will absolutely freeze your buns off! I would say this jacket is perfect for weather 45 - 60

I get compliments on my new coat, especially the color. I got "Mulberry ". I like it very much, but do have to fuss with the dual zipper. It's not the coat to wear, in the dead of winter, but for those cool days with breezes, it does a fine job.

The Jacket is beautiful and well made, however it is very large, I am 5'3" and with 110 lbs. I ordered a small and it was too large. I would recommend it with the warning, buy a size smaller, and I should had ordered a petite as well.

Love this jacket, gave it 4 stars due to sleeve length being too long. But turned to cuff sleeves and they are great. Light weight for ease of getting in and out of car or stores, but warm. Zip and or snap (has both) and go. I have a five year old one in black, still looks great, got navy this time. Would like to have dark brown color choice available for next purchase.

Very comfortable and lightweight but not very warm. Ok with a sweater or fleece under it. I would recommend it for Fall and Spring but not cold winters. Would be a much better coat if it were lined with flannel or fleece

I purchased a black quilted jacket before Christmas. I love the weight of the coat and it fits well. What I don't love is the double zipper. I struggle with the zipper constantly. I can never get it lined up correctly to zip it closed. Every time I put on the coat I struggle in trying to get it zipped up. It is really frustrating. I thought I may have a defective coat so I went to an LL Bean store and tried on the same coat and tried to zipper it. I still struggled. I am not sure why LL Bean has two zippers on a woman's coat. I asked one of the workers about the zipper and she said other people have trouble too. I love the coat but wish it had just a single zipper.

I bought this jacket for myself and another one in a different color for my daughter. We are very pleased with our jackets! For the "winters" in SC, this is a great jacket to have for almost every day use here. The only suggestion I would have is to add interior pockets.

I am 5'8", 140 pounds with 34B chest and I admit that I sometimes have difficulty with the arms on tops being a bit short. I bought a size Small in the black color in this jacket. Overall, I love the quality and style and I ended up keeping it. I live in an area where it typically doesn't get very cold in the winter (usually 40's to 60's) and I wear this almost every day for both work and weekends. It looks great with just about anything. Having said this, I wanted to let the folks at LL Bean know that I'm having a similar problem with the sleeves pulling up too far while driving as mentioned by another reviewer. When I'm relaxed, the sleeves on this jacket seem to be perfect, even though my arms are on the longer side. I also have plenty of room to fit a heavier sweater under this if I need to. Please fix the design of the sleeves for next year.

I really love this jacket. It is thin but is so warm. I do not need to layer up anymore during New England's winter. I can go to hockey games and be comfortable. I can walk around campus at midnight and not be cold. It is like a mini heater to me. The only con about this jacket is that it does not have a hood. I love it, but sometimes I need a hood.
