Love the jacket. Nice fit and the perfect in-between weight. If there were inside pockets I would give it a five

I can't really put my finger on why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. The styling was really nice and I'm sure it's warm enough for the uses described. I was looking for a travel jacket this weight but wanted something a little lighter and easier to pack. This is slightly stiff and I guess after a winter of wearing my packable down jacket, everything feels heavy and stiff now! But it's quite nice and may be 5 stars for you so try it!

This is a classically tailored jacket that runs a tad small. Generally I wear size L in coats and jackets, but sized up for overall length and a little more roominess for layering. It's lightweight jacket; great for cooler spring and fall days here in Maine. I'm 5'9" and it falls at my lower-hip, which I appreciate. The outside pockets are deep and roomy. The corduroy trim on the inside collar and on the zipper line is a classy touch. I gave it 4 stars, because I think a true riding jacket needs a safe inside pocket for phone/keys.

Lightweight and slightly longer to cover hips, good commuter coat. As other reviews noted: zipper is difficult to deal with, doent work easily or smoothly. I use storm flap buttons.

True to fit, like the color, reasonable price, don't like the zipper

Love the coat, but the zipper is not good. May have to return due to the zipper.

Great jacket! Warm, comfortable, and looks good. Love the smooth lining that makes it easy to get on and off. My only gripe is the double zipperfor some reason the first or top of the zipper pulls is this flimsy thing that is difficult to line up with the more substantial second or lower zipper pull. Not easy to get it zipped up; too much of a struggle to zip on a regular basis, but the snaps work fine, so that is what I'm using,
I bought this same jacket a few years ago, and the zippers were the samedisappointing that LL Bean does not listen it's customers; I know I was and still am not the only customer with this issue.

Overall a good quality coat. I love the 2 way zipper, it performs well.
I had to return Petite Large for Petite XL because the chest area was tight and movement in arm/ shoulders was tight. I'm 5'2'' and weigh 165 lbs but my weight is in stomach/hips. Being small in the chest only was unusual.
I thought it was weird that the corduroy collar trim was on the underside where it doesn't show .
Lastly the sleeves ran long but I like to roll up cuff and show off the plaid lining.

This jacket is not high warmth. Wish it had a flannel or cotton lining rather than polyester! The fit is great, though.

I love this coat. The reason I gave it a four star is I don't like the zipper. It takes a while to line up the top zipper with the bottom zipper. Once it's zipped, I love it. The pockets are deep and it's perfect for Minnesota fall weather.

This jacket is really nice and I love the style. However, it does not fit exactly like it should in the shoulders and arms. Also, it's a little thinner, less warm, than I thought it would be. I kept it because the fit wasn't too bad but I just wish it were a little better.

I love the jacket but seriously there is a zipper problem. Went to my local store and tried on several of the same size jackets. Two of the jacket's zipper jammed at the store and I was very gentle with the zippers. Otherwise, this is a very nice jacket that is flattering, does well with a layer underneath when the weather dips. The buttons are somewhat difficult to open and close. Perhaps toggles would be a better choice?

I love the weight of this jacket and it fits perfectly. My only complaint is the zipper. I wish it was not a two way zipper. Sometimes it can be slightly difficult to unzip.

This is a great jacket for spring, fall, an easy walking hike, or even a cooler summer night on the coast. The only reason I gave it four stars is due to the zipper. I have several LL Bean coats, from winter to rain coats and there is not one that I don't have problems with the zipper, it's pretty annoying because overall their outerwear is great. That being said, I highly recommend and will have it for years to come.

Versatile jacket. Great fit and look. Difficult zipper - 2 way zipper is hard to close unless both pieces are perfectly lined up. Smaller zipper pull is on the up side while larger zipper pull is on the lower side. This should be reversed as the main zipper pull should be larger. However, having the ability to open at the bottom is great for driving. Lightweight with a wide variety of temps to be comfortable to wear.

This is a very good jacket. My only complaint is that the zipper is a bit difficult to use; therefore, I usually just use the snaps.

A very nice and stylish jacket, true to size. I had to wear it in freezing weather and I'm happy with it even if it a very comfortable light weight, but the the material is not a twill weave as it says in the description. I purchased a size small, I'm 5'1, weigh 112lbs

It's not as warm as I had hoped but everything else is great. It's more of a light layer for my climate (Santa Fe, NM, the high desert)
Good looking and water resistant

I bought this lightweight jacket for the fall, and I love how it makes any outfit look put together (I got it in black)! However, I'm glad I got size XS Petite because it runs big! I recommend sizing down on this jacket unless you plan to wear a bunch of heavy layers underneath.

Great fit adjustable if you like a tailored look like my wife does. She loves the fit and the contrasting liner.

Great looking and well made. Got a size small bc the medium was too big. I'm a size 6 and that is the issue I have with many of the L.L. Bean Tops. I'll enjoy wearing it as long as I wear something light to medium thickness.

The fit is just right for a light layer underneath, and I like the adjustment in the back belt that defines the waistline. The only drawback is that it is not a bit waterproof (in the NW, that is important) but for dry, slightly chilly days it is perfect!

I do like an earlier version that had inside pockets. LL Bean should revert to that style again, keeping the zipper/snaps and outside pockets as well.
