I bought these shorts for an upcoming hiking vacation. They are very comfortable and they fit well. I would definitely purchase them again.

These shorts are very comfortable and lightweight. Perfect for hot summer days especially when hiking or biking. Highly recommend.

My shorts just arrived a few hours ago and I tried them on immediately. They are very cool and comfortable. I purchased them in my regular size and they fit slightly loose which is how I like to wear my clothes. Lots of useful pockets. I purchased the Granite color and it is a very dark grey so works well with most color shirts. Wearing them hiking out west in a week and I can't wait. I may order the other color too!

Love these shorts! They are comfortable and fit well. I've worn them hiking, biking, and am wearing them now as I sit typing! Love the zip pockets, which secured my passport, but kept it conveniently accessible while I was traveling abroad. I've really got to pick up a second pair in another color.

I was a little disappointed in these shorts because they are described as 'soft' but they aren't really--not cottony soft anyway. So they sat on a chair for 2 months before I finally wore them. It took about 10 minutes before I was completely in love with them. They are super light and don't bind in any direction. I wore them kayaking and they felt great, dried quickly, and provide good leg coverage while sitting. I immediately ordered the other color. They are great shorts for activity and the pockets are awesome, too.

Comfortable and flattering. Light weight. No bulkiness from pockets. Going to purchase another pair!

Really love these shorts. I like the fact that they have a little give in the waist. They are cool and dry quickly. Buy your normal size in these.

I love these shorts, and wish there were more colors. They fit my boyish figure and are so lightweight you hardly know they are on! A bit pricey, but if they hold up to use, it will be well worth it. I have 2 pair, plus one pair of the long pants. Please don't change the fit !

Once I got my size right the shorts fit great!

These were very comfortable shorts that were quick to dry in the rain forest. Plenty of good-sized pockets. I will be getting another pair!

Felt like my most favorite pair of shorts from the moment I tried them on. I've worn them on cool days and hot days; other than some sticking to my legs/buttocks when I first got out of the chair after sitting outside for an hour on the hot day, I LOVE the way these shorts fit, feel and wear. I will be buying another pair or two.

Excellent quality and super comfortable. I ordered size 6 and fits perfectly. The style is very modern, low rise and very flattering. I ordered the black and I will order the kaki. I want to wear them every day.

These seem to run a bit big. I have reordered them in a smaller size and hope it works. The fabric is great for summer hiking, style terrific.

Disclaimer: I am not a serious hiker (not yet anyway). My husband and I are planing a walking trip through the Lake country in UK in July, and I wanted a pair of shorts that 1. were comfortable; 2. had lots of pockets; would dry quickly so that I could wear them every day. I went on a 4 hr hike just outside Tucson, and they were great.

Was not quite sure what size to order after reading other reviews, but I ordered my regular size and found them to be true to fit. I love everything about them...fit, color, and comfort.

I love these shorts! The fit is flattering on me, the fabric soft and quick drying, and the waistband has a soft lining so it doesn't rub. Unlike many shorts for women, the pockets are well designed and functional. Because I am a bit short-waisted, the rise is a bit higher than some more "modern" cuts, but still OK. I am 5'2" and 117, and the size 6 fits me well without being tight.

I love these shorts. I live in a rural area in west central Florida. The shorts are light-weight, but sturdy. They move with you and never feel constricting. The waistband lining is soft and wicks away perspiration. They are great for walking, gardening or any outdoor activity. It is pretty casual here, so I have even worn them to the local garden center. I bought both colors and would purchase them in other basic shades if they were available. I toss them in the washer on the permanent press cycle then hang them up to dry (which they do in no time). They would definitely dry overnight if you needed to rinse them out while you were traveling. Buy your regular size in these shorts.

Perfect length, appropriate for golf and hiking. Very soft light material, plenty of pockets. These shorts make you look good and feel good too.

These shorts are an excellent choice for all ofyour outdoor fun. They are fast drying and super comfortable though I wish they were just a tad longer. Bottom zippered pockets are good for carrying small items like a car key or fob. Only thing missing is a pocket large enough to carry a cell phone.

I ordered trekking shorts last year and really liked them so I ordered these this year. These run smaller but actually fit me much better. The waist isn't so large as it sometimes is in clothes that don't go to the waist. The length is just right--above the knee but not too short. I love nylon shorts because they are so cool in the hot summer months.

I LOVE the Vista Trekking Shorts. They are lightweight and stretchy, they have a great array of pockets, they are the perfect length, and, most important, they fit me PERFECTLY. And they're flattering! I only wish the Vista Trekking Pants came in tall; if they did, I'd order some of them too. But a 31" inseam is way, way too short for me. Instead, I had to order the Comfort Trail Pants, which at least come in medium tall (33). The Comfort fit isn't anywhere near as good as the Vista fit, and even in medium tall, the pants are too short, so they're going back. But the Vista shorts are a rare find--I'm going to order the other color today. (L.L. Bean, if you're listening--how about offering Vista pants in a range of inseam lengths, including 34?)

I have bought many hiking shorts in the past. These are by far the best. Wonderful stretch and very comfortable. Only thing is I usually wear a size 14 but because of the great stretch in these I had to order a 12 . That was fine by me. You won't be disappointed in these, there fantastic.

I was a bit concerned when I took these out of the package as they were very wrinkled. I washed them and dried them and they were still pretty wrinkled, but after hanging for a short while, the wrinkles fell out. They would probably air-dry well. I like the color (gray) and the length. They are true to my regular pants size, and the waist feels comfortable. They are very light on and I think they will be great when it gets very hot. I bought them for times when I would be outdoors gardening or with my little one, and I think they will fit the bill nicely.

Very comfortable shorts. Slightly longer in back, but proportioned perfectly. Dries very quickly. I probably will buy more. Sizing chart was accurate for ordering the right size. Don't pass up these shorts for everyday wear!
