After purchasing one pair, I purchased 3 more! Lightweight and comfortable. I am outdoors in the southern heat and humidity daily. These shorts do not cling or stick to the skin like cotton. The length is good for me as I am no longer a teenager. The older pair does show a little picking. That is my only complaint.

I bought these shorts, actually 2 pairs, grey and khaki, a few weeks ago; and I love them. The fabric is so comfortable, and barely wrinkles. The stretch in the waist is great for me. Adds comfort. Very stylish with the cargo design and zipper pocket. Good length -- can wear them anywhere and look just right.

I have been purchasing these shorts yearly since I discovered them. I live in the desert southwest and these are just so comfortable and cool. They are so lightweight that you don't even feel like you are wearing shorts.

These shorts are very durable and comfortable. Fit is perfect, true to size. Wash well. Love em!

I was so pleased at the fit and look of these shorts!The material is lightweight and dries quickly. Great for outdoor activities. Large pockets and the fit is spot on! I have long legs and wish they were a bit longer, but that's the only criticism I have. Will definitely order in other colors.

This was my first purchase from LL Bean, and I have got to say, these are the best shorts I have ever bought! The quality is amazing, but the fit is so much better than any other brand I've worn. They are so flattering and the comfort is beyond words and the fabric weight is perfect. I will definitely be buying more. Hoping they come out with more colors soon! Navy and white would be a wonderful addition!! Hint hint :)

I own 8 pairs of these for over 4 years. I wear them daily as they are so comfy cool and have great pockets so I never need a purse. they dry super fast so they are great for boating and fishing.

I love these shorts! They are so lightweight it feels like nothing and I love all the zippered pockets. They washed up well. I didn't put them in the dryer because I put very little in the dryer but feel if I did they would be just fine as they are roomy enough. They are a flattering fit although the leg openings are a little wide (my legs are not heavy) but even that doesn't really stand out. Easy to move in and I'm looking forward to hiking in them not just running around town this spring. They dry fast and are my go to shorts. Yay, LLBean!

These hiking shorts are light weight, long enough and have lots of stretch which makes them excellent for hiking, Have worn them several times already and they are perfect. I will say that they do not run at all large - I am not curvy and they fit me well. Might say a curvy person may want to go up a size.

I bought these shorts to wear while playing golf. They are very comfortable and have good pocket depth to carry an extra ball and tees.I had bought other colors in the past so I know these will be fine for this year (when the weather improves)!

I tend to prefer skirts to pants or shorts but I was planning a trip with lots of hiking and knew I would need shorts. I ordered these and wore them on a hike to test them out before the trip. They were perfect! They are well-made, cool, have good pocket space, and launder well. I bought a second pair I liked them so much and may get rid of a couple other pairs of shorts I had because these are now my go-to shorts for just about anything!

I'm wearing these in Kenya right now and they are terrific. Very lightweight, easy to wash and hang dry, good pockets (Pixel 2 fits in the cargo pocket easily), and they look nice. Would buy again - especially for hot weather.

LL Bean's Vista Pants, Comfort Trail Pants, and Vista Trekking Shorts recently got me beautifully through three weeks of semi-serious hiking. For anyone wanting to compare, I found that the Comfort Trail Pants were more like regular pants in shape and fit, while the Vista Pants felt a bit more unstructured, like pajamas. The Trail pants had more substantial fabric, while Vista pants seemed to have lighter-weight material - good for different temperature days. I haven't noticed a single problem with snags, pulls, or holes - even after climbing down a few rocky places on my behind! The shorts are equally terrific. All three have a slightly different arrangement of zippered and buttoned pockets, but all are deep enough to hold phones and other essentials - the only danger there is that I got so used to having these great pockets, that it was annoying to go back to regular pants without them. I definitely plan to order more for future trips. My husband 's a huge fan of LL Bean's Cresta Trail shirt - great pockets, versatile weight - I wish LL Bean had a women's shirt equivalent, but I can't find one...

I wore the shorts during my visit to Italy when we were walking a great deal every day. The shorts are fantastic they keep you cool and comfortable under all conditions. Great fit

I have many shorts that just fit OK, but after buying one pair of these, made me buy 2 more! They are so light in weight and are perfect in length and waist size. I'm 5,4 and weigh 135.

These shorts are amazing. I was skeptical about the material content but when I received them, put them on, I was sold. Very comfortable, very lightweight, they keep their shape and are breathable. Love 'em! Bought another pair.

I purchased these shorts for a specific sailing excursion and I've got to say, I LOVE them. They have 4....that's right ladies 4 ZIPPERED pockets big enough to stow phones, wallets, chargers, headlamps and what have you. Not 2 mention the 2 regular pockets that are well sized also. The material is cool and stretchy. That being said, if you are like me and somewhat between sizes, go with the smaller one. They do stretch out after wearing for an hour or so and shorts that are too big just look and feel sad. I'm hopeful that I can return them for a smaller size even after wearing for a bit.

So comfortable, quick drying, cool in very hot weather and perfect fit. I have one in every color. They do not stain, everything comes out. Long lasting, but I hang to dry or dry on very low. Lightweight for packing.

I had 4 pairs of Vista Trekking Shorts (2 grey, 2 green) and they have been staples for years. Just discovered they now come in black--YAY! They are comfortable and stretchy, are form-fitting but light and flexible, long enough but not geeky, have functional zipper cargo pockets big enough for an iPhone6 with case, and an epi-pen, have good sturdy wide belt loops, and are, in my opinion, the perfect summer short. So of course I bought 2 black ones.

I love these shorts. I just wish the store sold more colors. They only had the olive (which doesn't go with much), khaki (which I absolutely don't like), and the slate colors. So comfortable and so very cool to wear on hot days. Great for hiking and the side zippered pockets are great for a phone, id, etc. Please change your khaki color...it is too light/too yellowish. Need black and navy in the stores. I think they might be on-line but shipping is too expensive and these shorts are rather pricey already.

I love these hiking shorts. They do run large though but I figured that out when I ordered the zip off trekking pants. I usually wear a 6 but in these and the pants I needed a 4. And LLBean if you are listening, the size chart says I am between a 6 and an 8 so the size chart is way off. For reference I am 5 foot 2 inches and 122 pounds. The length of these shorts is a little bit shorter than the trekking pants when zipped off into shorts. These are comfy when walking. Great for hiking. Great pockets. Back and side pockets fit my phone.
