My husband and I have recently moved to AZ. The weather can be quite warm during the summer months but this short can be worn year round - for hiking in the mountains or walking around the neighborhood. The description of the fabric was right on and I keep cool and comfortable in 100 degrees plus or in the winter with temps in the 70's.

Comfortable, wears well, great for kayaking and being able to keep car keys in zipped pocket(s)

I love these shorts and have several pairs. I think they might run a bit large. Anyway, wish there were more color options.

Even though they are a little big in the waist, these shorts are super comfortable, lite weight, dry super fast and great for hiking and everyday wear.

Bought 1 pair for a hiking trip and then came home and bought 3 more pairs. Extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

These shorts are very comfortable lite weight and fit great.

These will be great for travel- lightweight, with pockets and appear they will hold their color. However, they do run large, I'll have to send these back for a smaller size.

These shorts are very comfortable and light weight making them good for warm weather activities such as hiking. I had to order one size down as they run large. I usually wear a 14 but needed a 12 in these shorts.

I usually order a size 12, but somehow I decided to get a size larger; maybe because someone said they were tight or because they look so straight, not flared legs. I don't like tight fitting pants/shorts. I tightened up the elastic waist band on the inside all the way on both sides; it's not an inconvenience. Still a loose fit but they don't slip off my waist-line. Also when I eat a meal such as dinner, I have the extra space for a little bloat! I like the smoothe fabric, too; doesn't snag on anything and easy to spot-wipe in case of dirt, minior spill, or dog slobber. I bought navy blue; so far, so good.

These are the most comfortable shorts I have ever had. I got one pair and then went back for 2 more.

I really like the length and fabric of these shorts. I'm kinda in between sizes but the way these shorts fit it's great! I will be ordering another pair.

Fit well and are perfect for summer time. They feel very light and comfortable. Great for traveling!

This is my second pair of Vista Trekking Shorts, I love the way they fit and how light weight they are. The zippered pockets are very handy, and because of the lightweight fabric they dry fast when wet. The fit is relaxed in the leg so they do not bind when sitting, bending in the garden or riding my bike. The only negative thing about them is that the fabric can pull or snag on rough surfaces. I wear these all the time.

I bought a pair of these last summer and absolutely love them. They are light weight and super comfortable with plenty of pockets. I lost weight over the winter and the first thing I did was buy a new smaller pair. I will eventually have a pair in every color.

Comfortable and they wick sweat so well! I've worn them hiking when I sweat like crazy, it's humid, and like magic they're not soggy. The fit is great. The pockets are big enough to be practical.

I have these shorts in other colors and a size 8. They run large as they hang on me. Went for a 6 and fit nicely,granted don't have all the extra 'room to grow'. ;)

These were a great find! They are true to size, light-weight and exceptionally comfortable, and with the different pockets, are very functional. I like these so much, I bought two more pairs in different colors.

I love these shorts! I purchased 2 pairs in black. They are very comfortable and wash well. They dry quickly, lightweight for packing, and look nice! I plan to order more colors.

Had to order smaller size because they run large. (larger than cotton equivalent). More stretchy than I wanted, but good light weight for hot weather.

After 10 years of not being able to find pants or shorts to fit me anymore, I pulled these on and felt like an old friend. I have despised the low rise fad. I'm a super active girl and actually bend at the waist not halfway to my bikini line. So yeah, I'm thrilled with the fit. Hope this pilling issue doesn't happen. They're very comfortable.

These shorts are my new "uniform"...... I love the lightweight material, cooler in this hot summer weather, perfect for my walking and bike riding, PLUS the inseam length. I am ordering another pair. Thank you LL Bean for remembering your "mature" customers.
