I was extremely pleased with the Vista Trekking shorts. I read other reviews which helped me choose the size as these shorts perhaps run big. I normally purchase size 10. However, they fit perfectly (size 8) and feel very comfortable as there is a little stretch to them which makes for ease of walking/hiking. Plus, they breathe nicely consequently dry quickly. I appreciate all the various pockets with 4 out of 6 pockets having the zipper feature so I do not have to worry about anything slipping out while being active. The snap/front zipper feature is more convenient than buttons!

My new favorite shorts a bit expensive but they are comfortable breathable and I love them! Thank you LL Bean!

These shorts are fabulous; look great on for all my needs, hiking, shopping, traveling, my go to shorts. LLBEAN is great when it comes to delivering as promised.

Light weight and comfortable

These shorts are amazing, they are perfect for hot summer days. They are soft, not noise when walking, lightweight and breathable, waist band helps to keep shirts tucked in and short up. True to Size after a few wash and drys. I am so happy with these shorts.

I originally ordered these in a size that was too big because I looked at the sizing chart- but exchanged them for size 4, which I usually wear and they fit perfectly. I got two pair and have been wearing them non-stop this summer. I've been walking a lot in quarantine and I love all the pockets for phone, keys, sunglasses. I wish they came in navy but the gray and green look and feel great. Lightweight, wash and dry really well.

I just love these shorts -- they are soft as a cloud, cool, giving and so so comfortable in the hot weather. They run slightly large -- which I appreciate, because I love the looseness in the waist. Wash well, dry quickly and look neat and efficient and sporty.

I was looking for some new hiking shorts and love these! The size 10 is a little large and I've ordered a size 8 for my second pair. They are comfortable and wash up great!

These shorts are the best hiking shorts I've ever had. I thought you were no longer making them but entered the SKU and now are made in different colors. I now have 4 pair...happy with all. The waist is a little loose but anything smaller would've been too tight. These dry really quickly, so unexpected showers while hiking aren't an issue.

I actually bought another color of these last year and realized this year how much I love them. So, I bought two more colors this summer. Thery are very comfortable, lightweight, not binding. They also look good. I got inspired to buy the long pants version as well.

I have three other pairs of pants/shorts and love them all. I especially like the back pockets with zipper that phone fits into. And side pockets with zippers for keys, etc. Love them

I bought these for my youngest daughter and she is extremely difficult to buy for. She didn't even want to try them on at first but I knew she needed shorts and when she did try them they fit perfect! After she wore them the first time she said they were super comfortable. Yeah for mom!

These shorts are well made and have lots of pockets for your stuff. They are light weight and cool. They fit well-- not too tight or too loose. They are a tad long, but I really like these shorts for hot weather.

These shorts are great for walking/hiking. Pockets are really helpful. The material they're made from is great for summer. It's lightweight. If they get damp for whatever reason, they'll likely dry quickly. I have no complaints. May get a 2nd pair just because they are now my preferred shorts to grab when I head out.

Literally, the greatest thing since sliced bread! Light, breathable, stretchy, comfortable shorts for hiking, biking or anything else! Ordered two more in different colors ! Love, love, love !

very nice fit, comfy, a little big on me but I don't like clothes too tight since I gained some weight... nice color... sorry thye were out of Plum or I would get that one, wish they were a little bit longer... but I will probably buy another pair!

These are now my favorite shorts. I bought two pair and will probably buy more. They fit perfectly. They have a little give in the material which makes them comfortable for all day use. Highly recommend them. Need more colors, though.

Great summer short. Love all the pockets

I have purchased these shorts in 3 colors!! Love the way they fit for hiking. Lightweight and breathable. Also has great stretch for climbing! The side zippered cargo pocket fits my phone perfectly for easy access.

I love these shorts. They are light and soft and yet substantial. They are so wonderful to wear. I can't wait for a single pair to go through the laundry cycle so I must have another pair.

I bought a pair of the Vista Trekking pants many years ago in size 8 -- I have a size 8 waist (28") but size 4 hips (36")! I really like the light-weight pants for hikes on hot days! But as others have noted, the material pills easily. But a fabric/clothes shaver cleans it up nicely. Also, I noticed that the materials around the waist does stretch easily and is super comfortable. Recently, when I was looking for shorts, I found the Vista Trekking shorts. Knowing the fit of my pants, I bought one pair each in size 4 (royal plum -- nice deep plum!) and 6 (granite) of these shorts. Not only did these fit *me* comfortably, the pockets stretched to hold my cell phones and wallet, too -- no need for a purse! So I'm keeping both!

I can't say enough about these shorts: the fit, the lightweight fabric, the comfort, and the pockets. For me, pockets are always a plus. There are six of them, four of them zip. At the shore the other day, they were roomy enough for my phone, keys, and my son's phone and keys (which he handed me so he could take the baby in the water). Wave splashes were no problem. I was dry in no time. They roll up into nothing, so great for stuffing into a backpack as well as everyday use. This is my second pair and I'm thinking about a third.
