Ordered these for hiking and then ordered two more pair because I will be wearing them every day in our hot Tucson climate! Lightweight. Multiple pockets for phone, dog treats, keys.

Almost 20 years ago, I bought a pair of Columbia Hiking Shorts that were so good, I got them in 4 colors. Side pockets, zippered pockets on the leg and back -- large enough for even today's huge cell phones. I wore them all the time. Have been looking for something comparable for about 4 years. The few I found with a decent amount of pockets, the pockets were so small that either the phone did not fit or kept falling out. Then I found these and thought I would check them out. They are WONDERFUL -- pockets will hold the largest phone, very comfortable, the inseam length is good and flattering, love the feel of the material -- will be cool in the summer. Have ordered one in every color!!

I have not taken them hiking yet but so far from shopping trip to yard work - all good. Very comfortable with nice size pockets. Run large in my case.

I love the material of these short and the way they fit!! So light and airy, feels amazing on ur skin and I can't wait to go hiking in these!!!

I bought 2 pairs for international travel. Easy to hand wash and dry. Side pockets , which I found came in handy. Size fit my body, comfortably. Closure snaps held. I ended up buying 2 more pairs .

Great shorts. Fit good, length is perfect.

These were the only shorts from a handful of similar ones Bean offers that I kept. The others are all a "triangle" shape, too tight in the waist and the inseam and baggy in the thighs. These are still a little tight in the inseam and waist compared to similar pants (that are a size smaller!) I bought a few years ago but I kept them. If you're on the fence about size, I recommend sizing up. Old pants are a 4, these are a 6 but I really wish I would have tried the 8. Too much work with shipping to try so many sizes.

These shorts are almost perfect. I wish they would make this short in a 10 inch inseam. They are a little to short for me. Please make some of your shorts in 10 inch inseam. Otherwise they have secure pockets with hidden zippers. The material is perfect. Please just make them a little longer.

The shorts are comfortable. I garden and go for long walks in them. Good coverage and use all the pockets. Quality product. I have been shopping LL Bean for 50 yrs.

Mature, 5.3, 150, weight through middle, slimmer legs/hips. Purchased 3 pairs last year, 2 in size 14 and 1 in size 12. The 14 were too big/baggy (through legs/thighs) in a bad way. The size 12 fit great. These shorts are so comfortable, forgiving, and easy to wear and care for. I haven't had problems with the fabric and hope that doesn't happen. I would like to see more color options.....a smokey blue would be fine. That said. I prefer the fit of these shorts to a couple of high end brands. Please don't change these or the sizing. Thanks.

These shorts are lightweight. They flatter my figure. The only negative is that they are loose around my waist. However I wear a belt so this is not an issue. I could try a size 2 but don't want them tight across my hips. Great shorts.

I live in Florida and these shorts are perfect! Light weight, dry quickly and very functional. So comfortable, just wish they were available in some fun colors, I live in a tropical place

I purchased my first pair in the gray color in a six 6. They're pretty roomy but still wearable. I then bought two more pairs in khaki and black in a size 4. They fit beautifully and are really light and comfortable.

Love these shorts! This is my second pair. They fit well, are very comfortable, and look great. Love the quick dry feature. Will enjoy these most of the year here in the deep South.

I love these shorts. I now have 5 pair. They fit well, wear well and look great. I also love the zipper Pockets Especially the one at the bottom of the right leg. They also dry quickly. These are a winner!

These shorts are so comfortable that they've become my everyday summer uniform. They're well-fitting with just the right amount of stretch and actually pretty cute! And the many zippered pockets make it easy to carry your phone, keys, and mask with you.

these are soooooo comfortable. not tight around the waist, a great length to protect back of legs from sticking to furniture on hot days. pockets! that are functional! the color options and look of these shorts allow them to be paired with nicer blouses for a slightly dresser look, and the fit and feel make them great for walking, hiking, and lounging. bought a second pair and am so pleased with them.

Shorts are cool for hot weather; dry very quickly; many great secure zippered pockets. I absolutely love these shorts! I also love trail shorts which are a little heavier but with same features!

I bought these Vista Trekking Shorts because I love the Vista Trekking Pants and I was not disappointed! Very comfortable, light-weight and sturdy material. Perfect for hiking or just running errands. Favorite feature is the zippered front pocket. Because these are shorts the zippered front pocket is not long enough for phone but a convenient place for small things like keys. Washes nice and line dries quickly if you don't want to tumble dry in the dryer. Packs nice for trips.

I live in these shorts! They are comfortable, dry quickly, love zip pockets. Wear grey and black most, green good color. Tan somewhat transparent when wet.

I liked the black shorts for hiking. Great zippers (2 in the front and 2 in the back), comfort, Love the 2 pockets, too! When the gray ones went on sale, I jumped on it. With COVID happening, we are out hiking a whole lot more than we ever did. I can secure my phone in the back pocket and zip it shut. They wash beautifully and are so comfortable!

Now I have two of these shorts in Black and Gray. They are light and don't wrinkle so are great for traveling. I used them on our trip to the Galapagos and then ordered the second pair to wear at home too. I probably could have used a 6 but the 8s are roomy.

Great movement and comfortable!! They also are flattering!!
