This is the best pair of hiking shorts I own. They fit perfectly. Perfect length. Material is soft, supple, and very comfortable. They are lightweight. My phone fits in the pocket. Color is great and matched the online pictures. I have worn and washed about five times now and they are holding their shape.

Length (not too short or too long), # of pockets, pocket placement, fit, material, comfort are all perfect. Have in 3 colors now so I think that says it all.

These shorts are great! They feel great, they move with you, seem easy to care for (haven't washed them yet), and the color is great.

These shorts fit comfortably, and they give when you need them to on a strenuous climb. They dry instantly, keep their shape, and hold keys and phone without being bulky.

I recently received my 2nd pair of these Vista Trekking Shorts which I ordered because I'm very pleased with how my 1st pair, purchased a few years ago, has held up. I'm very happy to have 2 pairs!

I have been a fan of comfort trail pants and shorts for some time and decided to give the vista trekking style a try this summer. Verdict: the vista trekking shorts are another LLBean winner! Here is how they compare to comfort trail shorts 1. Vista runs true to size. I need to size up to a 10 in comfort trail. 2. The side pockets on the vista shorts are not as deep. 3. The fabric of the vista shorts is lighter weight. 4. The vista shorts have a more stylish cut; the legs are slightly narrower. 5. Comfort trail has an adjustable waist. That said, BOTH styles are well-made, durable, wrinkle resistant, have lots of pockets, and are a perfect not-too-short-not-too-long length. Just the thing for hot, humid summer in the south.

Ordered a size up and glad I did. Great cozy shorts perfect length. Want to buy in more colors.

I just love these shorts! The fit was perfect with the black pair so I ordered two more in granite and sandstone. The length is perfect, and the favorite fit with belt loops is just what I wanted. I love the many pockets! They are lightweight but rugged, and also quick-drying. They are great for walking, hiking, wading, boating, or just hanging out. They were also stretchy enough to still fit after I gained a few pounds during 2020. My only complaint: I want a Navy blue pair, but they don't exist--yet. Please consider that for next year's offering.

I first bought these shorts in 2017 and wondered how they would hold up. The material is very light--the word "flimsy" comes to mind--but they were very comfortable so I gave them a try. I just bought three more pairs because after 4 years they are still in good shape and they have become my favorite. The fit is unique: slightly below the waist and quite loose in the legs. The lightweight material drapes very nicely so it all works.

I gained weight during the recent pandemic lockdown and needed some new shorts for this summer. I love these shorts - the material is very light-weight and comfortable in the Missouri summer heat. The pockets on the legs are large enough to hold my Galaxy S21 (regular) cell phone. I'm quite pleased with my purchase.

i tried a few different pairs and these were the best. I have a small waist and large hips, and the size 10 felt roomy and comfortable.

I've now purchased about 5 pairs, all different colors. They're light weight and extremely comfortable. Plenty of pockets and all around a great choice. I live where it's in the high 90's-105 and they are perfect for hot weather. For me though, they are a tad baggie in the back.

Light weight, quick drying. Would be great for hiking, wish I were hiking more. The cargo pocket on the side is perfect for my phone. I had ordered a size 8 earlier this spring but found them to be too big. The 6 is a better fit.

Light weight fabric with numerous zipper closed pockets that keep my hands free when hiking and keep me from loosing anything along the way- pretty perfect! They dry quickly and are also good for slipping over a bathing suit at the beach. Pricey but they are the most comfortable shorts I own. Negatives: a little pilling in the crotch area (after three years seems reasonable to me). I wish it came in more colors- can we get some blues please? I phone 7 zips in side pocket completely but larger phones may not.

light weight, lots of zipper pockets to keep things safe, lots of pockets without zippers. easy to wash. perfect for hot weather hiking I originally bought the size 6 and they were way to big. I recommend buying them in two sizes and return the ones you don't want. I normally wear a 6-8 in pants and shorts.

I first ordered the VistaTrekking Zip Offs and liked them so much, I now have bought the shorts. I usually wear a 12, but had to downsize to a 10 due to running large. They are perfect and the legs are a little less baggy than the Comfort Shorts that I have been wearing for years. The fabric is perfect for summer, light and airy, plus durable for the woods. My only con is they do not come in Navy Blue which is my preferred color, but the green is nice.

These shorts are amazingly comfortable! The side pocket is perfect for dog walking and the material is light weight and has a "give" that makes hiking and climbing very comfortable. I would recommend a hiking belt to go with them. Would definitely purchase again. The color is Perfect.

This is my second pair of Vista Trekking Shorts. They are comfortable, light and have some stretch to them for easy movement. The side pockets are convenient with zippers to keep items secure. I am 5'6" and like the 9inch or so length because on the long side but not bermuda length on me. I would love Bean to come out with a few more colors.

These shorts are made of a very lightweight, comfortable material. They are so thin that I actually thought I'd received the wrong item at first. I thought they were flattering. My only concern is how well the material will hold up, but I am pleased so far.

Sooo comfortable, breatheable fabric, plenty of zipper pockets, modest length, gusseted crotch for full range of motion. I live in these all summer long.
