It has been a challenge to find a pair of shoes my husband would be happy about, but these are just great. Right out of the box he said they were comfortable, fit well and he is wearing them several times a week already. Yay!

Great looking, great fitting shoe. A traditional hand sewn boat shoe. Just wore them on a week long trip and couldn't be happier. With socks or barefoot. Both very comfy. I have wide feet. I ordered the wide in my normal size and they fit snug out of the box but are now conforming to shape. Not a lot of padding underfoot. This is an old school boat shoe, not a urethane foam injected comfort model. Exceeds my expectations.

Based on other reviews listed here saying that these shoes were too big, I ordered down for my husband. When he tried them on, both with sock and sockless, he could not even get his foot in the opening. Luckily, LLBean Customer Service is awesome and I was able to call and get them exchanged for the appropriate size. Also note that according to Customer Service, these shoes actually run tight. It's a great looking shoe with what appears to be quality construction.

Very comfortable took no wearing in

Bought these for work.I'm on my feet for extended hours in surgery. They seem to run small so I had to exchange them.The width was ok. They are very comfortable and give good support; easy to get in and out of.

Wide- fit very comfortable, size was right on. Surprised to get such a good fit via mail order. Will buy more footware at LLB!

Nice casual shoe. Based on others comments I ordered a half size smaller and they are perfect. Very happy with them.

I bought these shoes for my husband for vacation. He loved them. We went on a snorkeling cruise and the captain complimented him on "great boat shoes".

These mocs are comfortable, well made and down right good looking. I am looking forward to years of comfort.

Nice shoe, unfortunately for a wide width it doesn't give much extra room. Size wise it does run large, I would definitely recommend going down a half size.

Very nice shoes but not sized correctly. I bought my usual size and they were much too long. I returned them but they did not have my size (or virtually nay sizes) remaining in stock, so I bought some slip ons at a local shoe store.

I have been wearing these for a week now and I appreciate the fact that I don't have to keep tying them like the other ones. They are not as cushioned as the ones you have to tie but the leather is beautiful and they look great.

It a good shoe, comfortable and fits well. Only complaint is the small imperfection or cuts in one of the shoes. They are minor but I feel that they should have been checked more closely before sending them out. These cuts are not leather imperfections' but cuts made during manufacturing.

Quality shoe can be worn as dress shoe. Very little support but comfortable around the house.

These are great looking shoes and would benefit from having some sort of cushioned insole. Anything would help. As it is, there is zero cushioning. Otherwise they fit well and look great.

I bought these for myself, for house slippers. I bought the men's version, because at present, LL Bean doesn't make a comparable women's shoe (Take the hint, nice folks at LL Bean!) My size in women's shoes is generally a 10, which is about the same as a men's 8.5. The men's 8.5 in these shoes was surprisingly too big. So I bought the 8. It's a little wide, but with the addition if some insoles, they fit. They are very comfortable & feel sturdy. The sole is kind of smooth, since these are deck shoes. I think I would want something more textured for an outdoor shoe, but for my purpose-indoor wear-they are just fine.

The medium/D width was very wide, and the wearer has wide feet. Beautifully made, however.

I am glad I got these at an LL Bean store, rather than online. This is because I needed to try them on for both size & comfort. I wear a women's 10 or men's 8.5 as a rule. I needed an 8 in these, so I suggest ordering a half size down. I bought these to wear in the house, as slippers. I bought the men's version, because unfortunately, LL Bean is not offering a comparable shoe sized for women. (I really with they would. They feel sturdy and required no break-in. Even with bare feet, they do not rub or irritate my heels or toes. They are a bit wider than I would like. I solved that by adding a pair of odor-absorbing insoles.

These shoes are a bit too wide but I have put spacers inside the sock lining and hope that I will be able to wear these shoes comfortably.

I found these shoes to run slightly large (I originally ordered my standard size, but had to return them as 1/2 size too large.) The new shoe, 1/2 size smaller, fits well, but slightly wide. Very comfortable and stylish.

I found that the Venetian's good looks complement my jeans and khakis equally well. They are also very comfortable in a way that did not require any break-in.
