Size was completely too small for listed number. It was crummy

The soles are stiff.They don't bend easily. They fit good but the back of my foot kept coming out of the shoes because soles are hard to bend.

Stiff and uncomfortable with no insole cushioning. Leather stiff on upper shoe.

The seam is coming apart within a few months.

My husband was looking for more of a working boat shoe rather than the dressier look. He said they fit More like slippers with not much support.

First off, I am a life long fan of LL Bean; but I'm writing about the QA/QC on the Casco Bay Boat Moc only. I received these after they were on backorder in January '20. I've used them on a limited basis since then (primarily to walk around our property). My wife saw me wearing them this morning; and she asked me if I was wearing 2 different shoes... I looked down & noticed the leather quality was markedly different between the left & right shoe (she sometimes notices things that I don't- LOL). Picture is attached (after <20x wearing them, notice the discoloration on the right shoe). hoping I can return for a fresh pair- note to customer service next. BTW, defect aside the shoe itself has a sturdy composition- would be great for regular use.

I have always worn a 10 or 10.5. I had to exchange several times down to an 8.5 and then it became narrow in the toe and still loose in back. Shoes should not be purchased online. All my other purchases with LL Bean have been fine.

The shoes look great and fit great width/length wise. The issue is that it feels like the shoe is 2 separate parts. It feels like you are standing on a broken shoe or a broken sidewalk. I expected excellent quality like all my LLBean products but this one fell flat vs. short. The fact that I have to pay $6.50 for return shipping on a defective product bothers me even more. If you stick your hand in the shoe you can feel exactly what I'm talking about. I hope this is just a factory or quality control issue because I can't imagine someone actually shipping them like this.
