I had worn an older pair of camp Mocs that had fallen apart to the store. I needed shoes and wanted to replace my old ones. The only ones that were available were the brown and not the original style. I was so disappointed. When I got home I looked at the shoes and then put them away. I don't think I will wear them. What a waste of money. I was also disappointed with the salesperson as she should have said that although the store did not have the style I wanted something else could have been done

I wear an 8 Medium. The pair I received for an 8 must have been a 10. Way to large. Returned at a cost of $6.50 and ordered a 7 hoping that would fit, but too large also. Made in another country that must use metric system and unable to figure English system. The large 8 was marked so, but nowhere near an 8. And 7 also. Sad.

Oddly, I have bought this same pair of shoes before, but this pair was at least one size too large. I've bought dozens of shoes online and normally they are a near exact fit at size 10.5. I was afraid to exchange for the next lower size as they felt like they were at least one size too large. L.L. Bean also no longer offers free returns (you have to pay shipping) which sucks because it was really not my fault the shoes were too large. Would not recommend you buy these shoes online.

I expected something like my LL Bean moc slippers. Soft and flexible. These shoes are not slipper like. They are softening somewhat with wear. I hope that continues.

Love the shoe, but soles cracked within the first year. Some stitching came undone at 3 years. I usually wear an 11, but even a 10 1/2 is too big. Did not want to send back a second time to try a size 10.

I ordered my usual size of 9 1/2...and chose EE width. The width was fine...but the length of the foot-opening too long. After tightening the laces as much as possible...my heels would still ride up when walking....as if wearing flip-flops.... The look and build were actually quite good...but if the shoes don't fit...no point in keeping them. Back they went.

First, they look well enough made that they will probably wear into the same kind of comfort the original American-made ones did. The edge hits my right outside ankle, into the skin over the bone where the ankle sticks out, underneath. This "left a mark," an abrasion, bruise, and some pain. Since I believe by looking at the quality of the shoe construction and materials that they will eventually age into the somewhat-loose-and-relaxed shoe the originals did, I'm going to keep these, use bandaids on my ankle at the spot where the edge hits it, while breaking them in, and hopefully loosen up that bind there, and everything will fit and conform. This is the experiment. Instead of sending them back, I'm going to work with them. I have faith. Wish me luck!

I normally wear a 9M. I have another brand in a 9E. Ordered a 9EE (no E listed) to give toes more room. Width is fine but length is closer to a 9 1/2 or 10. Not wearable with bare feet. Unfortunately lost receipt to exchange. Probably try to shrink them in water.

I have been a customer since 1968. Trapper mocs were my first purchase. I just bought my zillenth pair of camp mocs. Somewhat disappointed. The mediums are narrow. The wide size is very wide. I settled on the wide. They will do for now with thick socks and with the inner soles, but the barefoot moc days are over. Leather is stiff and not that comfortable. The mocs themselves have no feel. For 50 years I have never been without a pair of LL Bean mocs, but these are not nearly as comfortable as my Sperry AO boat shoes, nor do they fit well, so I will keep them for a while, but this is likely the last pair. Sorry LL Bean. All things change.

The mocs seem well made. First pair I received were same size as the mocs I was replacing, arrived too big. Returned these for a half size smaller, this arrived and were to small. This is way I'm never buying another pair of shoes mail order. After spending $12 on return shipping, I still need a new pair of mocs.

I bought this shoes a few days ago. It was delivered on time but is really oversized related to the US scales. I need to exchange it for a smaller size. The shoes looks good. I did call the customer service before I ordered to make sure that shoes are properly made according to US scale matrix. But they suggested to stick with my size, which is 8.5. It turned to be oversized. I asked them not to charge me $6.50 for exchanging the shoes. They were ok with it. So, from the perspective, I am happy about their customer service.

I PURCHASED THIS CAMP MOC BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2014 AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. WITH 3 YEARS OF DAILY USE IN AND OUTDOORS, I REALLY WANTED A FRESH NEW PAIR. THE RE-ORDERED PAIR DECEMBER 2017 HAVE SUFFERED A QUALITY DOWNGRADE! EACH MOC IS 3OZ. LIGHTER IN WEGHT AND THE LEATHER IS NOT NEAR AS SUPPLE AND HIGH QUALITY AS THE 2014 VERSION. BEAN DECIDED FOR WHATEVER REASON TO SWITCH FROM THE MANUFACTURER IN EL SALVADOR TO VIETNAM AND HENCE WE NOW SEE A LESSER QUALITY CAMP MOC UNFORTUNEATELY. FINALLY, THE SIZING IS WAY OFF FROM THE PRIOR VERSION IN THAT THEY ARE A HALF SIZE LONGER. THEY HAVE BEEN RETURNED PROMPTLY!!

These could have been five star shoes except for two things which may not be problems for you. The first problem is the sizing. Having read the other reviews I ordered a half size small (ordered size nine rather than my normal nine and a half)and that worked out well. First problem avoided. The second problem is one I did not count on. That is that the sides of the shoes are high enough to rub the underside of your outside ankle bone, so I got blisters on the underside of my ankle bones. I'm going to try putting in some insoles and I think that will raise the ankle enough to take care of the problem.

I have had a pair of these for years - they've been great, Comfortable, pretty much care free but I finally wore the heels completely through so I bought a new pair. The new ones seem to be well made, but they sure run small. I ordered a wide and its not very wide - more a D width rather than an E or EE.

I've bought moccasins from L.L. Bean for the last 50 years. The pair I received yesterday squeak when walking on surfaces inside my house, except on carpet. I haven't worn them outside yet. The soles seem to have a different pattern and the part near the toe has a different surface. They also seem to run a little bit big. I don't know what's going on with L.L. Bean, but in recent years I've noticed that quality isn't what it once was - and I buy lots of L.L. Bean merchandise. I haven't decided yet what to do about the moccasins. Otherwise, they're comfortable and well made, but who wants to wear squeaky shoes?

The fit, the feel... Just not what they used to be... I usually wear a 9.5-10, got a 9 and they are still borderline too long.

I have owned several pair of these over the years, one of which lasted well over 10 years, wearing them inside and outside. However, the soles on the last two pair have split across the ball of the foot. The first pair split after a couple of years and the latest ones in less than a year. Apparently a quality issue with the material. I will probably return this latest pair and look elsewhere for a similar product.

The shoes were too wide originally (a 9.5 medium), since I have a very narrow foot. So, I had to order an 8.5 medium (the least narrow shoe that you offer) and just make it work by pulling the leather laces very tight. Why discriminate against those of us who have narrow feet. Please change and offer narrow sizes also. Thank you. Joe Willson

These our my favorite shoes. They are awesome. Whether I want to dress up or be on the beach, they stand up solidly under all conditions. However, one big shock this year. I ordered the same size I last ordered a few years ago and found I could stick at least two fingers in the back of my heel. I thought I made a mistake ordering but in the end I was told they changed their sizes for these to mimic boot sizes. Now go figure. Anyway, you need to adjust by 1 size what you order. So if you are a 12, you order an 11. Yet, in case LLBean changes how they measure these, best to talk to a customer service representative to verify. I hope LLBean is reading this and will rectify the situation with these shoes. If they do then I will change my rating to 5 stars.

I ordered two different sizes and both slipped off my husband;'s feet when he was walking. He loved the shoes but we sent them back because they only come in wide.. We were afraid that he would trip and fall because they were too loose. Instead of walking, he was shuffling his feet to keep the shoes on. Too bad they are only in wide sizes.

The sizing runs big and wide. I ordered a whole size smaller than usual but it was still too big and wide causing me to walk right out of them. Good construction, nice look, just too big.
