Overall the q1uality is good, but I find the soles very slippery.

I'm sure the mocs would be very nice (my last pair lasted for years), but the wrong size was shipped. I returned them for an exchange, but the correct pair has not yet arrived.

Been wearing since the 80's. Bring back the old sole.

Had to send back again, sorry they are just to wide for my narrow foot. Could not wear comfortably.

Nice move, but heel is not narrow enough. Had to buy heel huggers to keep my heel from coming out of the shoe. Have a pair of brown ones and the sole of the heel is wearing down really fast. Sole is not as durable as old model.

The shoes are fine for what they are. For me they are way too wide. No one seems to make a 131/2-14 shoe in a narrower width than D. Thes shoes slip around on my foot.

Great styling but leather is very stiff. Will take awhile to break in.

Have a unfinished thread in the heal area that irrated the heal. Once trimed the shoe retured to the excellent comfort i am used to.

Product looks good and the quality is fine. Disappointed in the fit. It is tight, which I expected, but after a week of use the left shoe is not softening up. Still painful to walk any distance.

These have a somewhat cult-like following so I’m sure I’m just an outlier. The leather was extremely stiff upon initial wear and the shape was a bit bulky. They definitely have that dad/grandpa vibe going and it wasn’t quite the design aesthetic I was going for. I’m sure they wear like iron based on the initial feel. I ended up returning them. Just not for me - maybe in another 10 years.

The size is misleading. I normally wear a 10 but ordered a 9 1/2 after a bad size ten fit from another manufacturer. I love my other Beans but the 9 1/2 is too loose. I'll keep them because I like the style and will wear them with thick socks but, in all honesty, they cannot be worn comfortably w/o socks in the summer as I had planned. I am disappointed.

Not enough room in the toe area. The upper inside had no lining. Bad on hammertoes.

Quality is barely ok the tongues don't exactly match and the heels are slightly off too.Like the idea of the shoe and the price and feel that these imperfections won't be noticed.

They are nice well made shoes but it makes no sense why they discontinued the older boat mocs. The original ones were softer and way more comfortable and probably more durable. I wore them every day for a year with and without socks.

When in Freeport last summer I tried to get another pair of my wonderful Signature Mocs #297560 and was extremely disappointed when I was told they are no longer available. This moc is barely ok, not nearly as comfortable or supportive as the Signature. Was told they require a good amount of wearing before they would break in. I've worn them infrequently around the house for several months but am not satisfied. LLB: Please bring back the Signature!!!

So far, much better than my previous 'Made in Mexico' pair. My previous pair was marred by two major defects. The feather edge was over glued, which, over time, produced a stress tear in the leather; and, the sole tread on one shoe was cut too deeply so that it allowed water into the midsole when in the rain/damp. I sounded like Spongebob when walking in the wet. This new pair is better, so far.

The shoes look great. Reading the reviews led me to buy my husband a 10 and 1/2--he's normally an 11. The mocs are still too long. We'll exchange, but as others have said it doesn't seem like we should have to pay shipping for an exchange when the sizing is so obviously messed up. Complaints aside, if the shoe was a fit, it would be a 5 star.

I'm torn on this review. These are 5+ star mocs. The leather (stiff and awful at first) slowly molds to the foot and becomes the softest shoe on the planet. I've had strangers ask me what I was wearing on my feet, and another person called them "rich slippers." Unfortunately, the stitching has become a consistent problem. I can't get these mocs to last beyond 14 months before the stitching comes undone, and it isn't as if I'm dragging my feet upside down on asphalt. Just normal wear and tear. Unfortunately, LLB doesn't offer repairs anymore, and cobblers are a dying breed. It frosts my pumpkin to have to repurchase and take a few months to break them in all over again. By the time these mocs reach comfort perfection, they are already starting to come apart, which is always just beyond that 1-year return policy. For the price, I expect them to last a lot longer. I don't want to return. I want them re-stitched. I wish LLB would reconsider its repair policy for such an, otherwise, great shoe.

Bought these to replace Bean Boat Shoes, the soles of which cracked down the middle because of siping. A previous pair did the same so I was trying to get a pair without siping. Saw no sign of siping on the website, but when the mocs came, they had been siped. Mocs are a little stiff, but should break in ok, but I am not happy about the siping as I expect these soles will crack open also.

I ordered these online, in my regular size 9 and they were ENORMOUS! I went to a store to return them, and found the Jackman Signature Camp Moc was much more comfortable, but they only had 8s which were just a little tight and have been discontinued, so no chance to get them. Ended up getting the Minnetonka Double Bottom Hardsole (which also ran large) in 8, and I'm happy. Would have really loved to have found the Jackman Signature Camp Moc in 8.5, they were the best ones I tried on.

In almost any shoe of any style, I always take a 7 1/2 D, including other LLBean shoes. These were supposedly what I ordered but were waay too big!

I have (diabetic) foot neuropathy. As with JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING, these are a bit 'harsh' on my feet. I'll try some Dr. Scholl's inserts to try and relieve the discomfort. Believe me, this isn't a 'plug' for another product. Type II diabetics will know!

My boyfriend has worn these shoes for years and was in need of yet another pair. I ordered the same size and width he had always worn and when they arrived they were way too large. What is even funnier is that he too noticed he needed another pair and ordered them within 3 days of my ordering. The pair he received was too large as well. Both pairs are being returned for a smaller size. Yes, he is keeping both pairs, since at some point he will need to replace them. :)
