I recently purchased a pair of camp mocs despite reading on various blogs that they just didn't compare to "the good old days". Maybe so, but they look great and are extremely comfortable. They were a bit snug across the foot but after just two or three wearings they fit perfectly. You can spend much more for mocs but you won't find a pair that provides looks, fit and value like these do.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered these Mocs. The 1st pair lasted 5 years. The upper part of the shoe is still in excellent condition however, I wore out the sole. Its true that the leather moccasin does start to fit your foot like a glove. This is a better and different kind of shoe than the other similar looking deck shoes.

The sole is narrow for Men's D. Stiff when it arrives, but w/application of mink oil or neetsfoot, it softens. I'm wearing it inside w/wool socks temporarily to stretch it a little and get foot conformity. That's coming slowly as good leather does and leads me to believe they'll fit better and better over the years as Bean slippers of a similar design have done. My second toes are longer than my big toes: a good configuration for me.

These were of high quality, but I was surprised at how wide and long they were for the stated size. They're quite loose-fitting.

Excellent shoe with a classic look. Great with jeans and khaki's. One complaint - I wish when ordering a wide shoe that the heel would remain narrow.

I bought the (EE) wide so I could slip them on more easily while wearing heavy socks. I use them as indoor slippers to ward off fall, winter, spring chills. [Warm feet and a t-shirt under a sweatshirt allow me to turn the thermostat down to 65*F during the colder months.] = = Current camp mocs read "Made in El Salvador." The quality of the leather is good and the workmanship is very good. They're also durable. My previous pair lasted over 5 years, but then again, indoor tread wear is mild. = = Only negative is the leather laces keep coming undone. [Someone suggested wetting them before re-tying. Leather shrinks when it dries and thus the laces would be taught. I may try this, however, another solution (though less attractive) was to simply remove the laces. That's what I did for my last pair after two years of re-tying them every other week. = = If you know someone's shoe size, buy them the (EE) wide version as a heavy duty indoor winter slipper over socks.

These are extremely comforatable and wear extremely well. Great for work or play. However, the only caveat is that the cactus is not a "smooth" full grain leather like the saddle color. They are almost like a nubuck finish, which is fine but stains can be an issue. Also, the cactus color is little more green that what appears in the catalogue and on-line. Other than that, the shoes are great.

I've worn Bean handsewn moccasins for over 20 years. This pair just as good. Wish you still made your products in the USA!

We had to wait a long time for this item, but LL Bean gave us an anticipated date and it was correct. My husband wears a wide shoe, and these are very wide. He probably could have worn the regular width which is very unusual for him. The shoes look great though, and they were exactly what I had hoped for when I ordered them.

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of these mocs. I'm a repeat customer because they're one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever worn. In particular, the padded insoles are a perfect substitute for the (much more expensive) orthopedic inserts I often need to use in other shoes. Unfortunately, I've had the same problem with the soles of every pair I've owned: within a year, both shoes develop a large crack in the sole in the stitched area of the heel. After only a year, that would be bad enough if I wore them outside on normal walking surfaces. BUT, on the contrary, I wear them *only* inside the house, essentially as house slippers. So they're worn exclusively on carpeting, (smooth) ceramic tile, and hardwood flooring -- none of which should be particularly abrasive. Because I've had this problem with every pair, it's highly unlikely that this poor durability is the result of an isolated flaw. In fairness, I have to add that, in contrast, the uppers have been very durable. After the holes in the heels get too bad, I do use the moccasins as outside shoes for light work (walking the dog, putting out the garbage, etc.), until the heels are completely worn through -- or begin to leak too badly when the ground is wet. Even then, the uppers are still in good shape. They just need a new pair of soles.

...and after years of trying lots of other brands, we decided these are the best moccasins out there. Quality is excellent; price is good; and wearability can't be beat. Other half wears these constantly and more than gets his moneys worth from them. We replace a pair about every two years, but only because he wears them so much we like to have a pair for all-the-time every day wear and a pair for casual 'going out' wear.

These are great but if you are near a store, I would attempt to try them on first as I had to order a full size down to fit properly. I take a 10.5 in most every shoe I own from running shoes, boots to dress (including EU brands). Great moc though and at a good price.

The first pair were 10EE. They were too long and wide even though that's my usual size. I traded for 9.5EE and they fit pretty well. It helped to use the fitting guide to outline and measure my feet. I should have done that the first time. Oh, well - live and keep on learning. Shoes are well made, look good, and feel good. I especially liked the "Made in El Salvador" stamp. No lead, cadmium, melamine, nor hydrogen sulfide!! Thanks, LL Bean, and keep up the good work.

Slightly large. If you wear dress socks with these try 1/2 size smaller. They were not so large it was worth returning them.

Gotten these before. They wear well. Leather is a bit course so the take a while to break in. The liners make the moc too hot and they don't breathe so I leave them out.

I have had a pair of these for over ten years and have been very satisfied. However they are getting very "shop worn" and I wanted to replace them but they are no longer offered in a "B" width. I tried the "D" width but found it just too wide for comfort so I had to return them, but if you can get by with the wider width they are great shoes.

Have worn this Mocc for many, many years and all I can say about it is that it is the same old Mocc - and that is good. Did have troulble with the size this time. The usual size I wesr was too wide so I had to exchang them. They last, they are conmfortable (after break in) and they are reliable.
