When I first ordered, I tried to judge size by my moosbec slippers, and the deck shoes were too big. So appreciate that you made it so easy to return for an exchange. The new pair are a great fit and are breaking in nicely. Thanks for all your great products, we LOVE LLBean! Keep up the good work!

I wanted a pair of moccasins that had a firm sole and that I could slip on and off. To complicate matters, I have wide feed, and I wear orthotics. It's hard to find moccasins like these. I've checked numerous stores in person and searched online extensively. These moccasins are working very well. They look great, the sole is firm and protects my feet. They've loosened up nicely and conformed to fit my feet. My only complaint: I wished they offered EEE, not just EE. That would be much better for my feet.

You can't beat the price of these things--a mere $70 to look like a Greenwich scion or a prep school lad, well armed with his trust fund--and frankly, I after taking my first look at them, I couldn't reconcile the cost and the apparent quality of the product I had received (these aren't Church's). I called customer service and asked if they were, in fact, real leather (they are). Comfortable out of the box, once I found the right size--9 1/2 for my typical size 10 feet. A small price to pay for this lowly St. Paul counselor to feel like an east coast blue blood.

Latest Camp Moc is 1/2 size larger than previous. Worn this shoe for 10 years - always worn a size 10. Bought a new pair at my local LL Bean today but had to go down 1/2 size to 9 1/2. Came home compared my old size 10 to new size 9 1/2. Sole of old size 10 is same size as new size 9 1/2. Oddly enough I had 2 pairs of 20 year old Bean Boots resized about 6 months ago and had a similar issue. Still a great shoe...

I've worn them about two weeks. I bought them because of leather insides & no fabric lining. Sole insert appears to help with no sock use & odor control. Could stand to have more arch height available. Otherwise a great shoe and fits well. I will look at other boat shoes that have similar qualities.

I wanted to replace my old Mocs, and so I thought these would be a great replacement. It looks like Bean doesn't sell my old Mocs anymore. I can see why: there were of great quality. They lasted over ten years. These were small when I ordered my size. I retured them and got a full size larger. They are a little big but I don't want to return them again. Service: Great! When I returned my shoes, I got my new shoes in about two days. I had troubled trying to comprehend how they got my shipment, filled in a new order, and delivered them to my door in two days. It was absolutely amazing. For this great experience, Bean renewed my faith in their store. I hadn't shopped here much in the last five years because of bad sizing on every item I bought. But if they can return my shipments in two days, I'm okay with that. Yours truly, Jimmy Jim Jim

The mocassins shown in your catalog were a nice dark brown. The shoes we received were VERY dark brown, almost black. The fit was fine -- same as regular shoe size but really disappointed in the color.

A quick review comment to assist those considering these shoes. I've owned a pair for two years; the first pair was the 'cactus' color. I recently purchased a replacement pair and chose the 'dark brown' this time. The comfort and general finish are good, reliable LL Bean quality. However, I would comment that the 'dark brown' is much darker than I had hoped for or may be interpreted from the product photo. The coloration is almost a blackish brown, almost a dark cordovan. Appears I'll need to purchase a second pair of cactus colored shoes to balance the wardrobe use limited by the dark brown pair.

Yeah, they're a little wide. And sure, they're a little long. They look sharp, and they're very comfortable from the second you take them out of the box. I bought these as a shoe that I could wear on casual Friday at work, and they look like they'll serve the purpose well. I own a pair of LL Bean Blucher Moccasins in Saddle, and originally thought the dark brown Camp Mocs might be a very similar color, but they absolutely aren't. The dark brown isn't an understatement - it is a very dark brown.

I bought these for my 16yo Grandson, he loves the shoes but said, they are too wide. Even though I ordered a medium they do run wide. I returned the shoes.

These Mocs are stylish and comfortable. I had to do an exchange to get the sizing right. I first ordered TTS, then TTS -.5, and lastly TTS - 1 felt great. I highly recommend socks while wearing them. It was a very rough break in period. I wore them for 3 months in an attempt to break in the leather, but after 3 months, they still cut up and blistered the back of my foot badly. I ended up returning them because of it. LL Bean was fantastic throughout my repeated transactions too.

The first pair lasted four years. I wear them a lot, but mostly in the house. The fit of the size 10-D moccasins was great for my size 10-medium foot. When first worn the opening is tight, but stretches after a couple of times they are worn. The shoe horn that was included helps during break in. The soles of the first pair were still good. Failure was due to the leather failing on the top where the stitching attached the two pieces. Experience indicates that the bow tie of the decorative lacing will not stay tied. I backed laced it on itself and after a couple of times retying the lace it stayed in place. Only the decorative tie problem caused me to reduce the rating to four stars.

I originally ordered and returned a wide size pair of these. My feet are wide at the ball and narrow at the heel, particularly so for my right foot. The wide size felt too wide for my left foot, so I decided to try the medium width. The shoes come with a "Handsewn Fit Card" which cautions that initially the shoe would be snug in the fore foot and that it would stretch "within a short period of time." I found that I could only wear the shoes for relatively short periods of time because of the uncomfortable tightness. I experimented with wearing them with thick socks to try to speed up the stretching process. Because of the lacing (single eyelet) there is not much adjustment that can be done to tighten or loosen the shoe. I came close to returning them, given L.L. Bean's generous return policy. Ultimately I stayed with wearing them as I could over time to break them in and the shoes are now at the point where they are fine without socks. The quality is excellent and I expect to be wearing them for a long time.

These arrived on the day before leaving on a two week vacation. I was concerned about 'breaking in' new shoes [ok, moccasins] traipsing through airports, but they seemed comfortable enough that I wouldn't need to worry about blisters, so I gave them a shot. They turned out to be very comfortable, and not even the hint of a blister ! That said, I have three minor complaints ... 1) They run just a bit wide, and I suspect this will become more of an issue over time as they are worn, which leads to the second complaint, 2) There's no practical way to tighten the fit using the leather lacings; I'd prefer the quarter to be split in the front, with four brass-reinforced eyelets, and a tongue beneath, which would also provide an even more comfortable fit, and 3) The color is too dark, though this is more of a personal preference. If postings can be edited, I'll check back in six months or so with an update ...

First pair ordered was too large. Had to return. Then when second pair arrived I find the right shoe is loose in fit left shoe ok. The shoe not as comfortable as I anticipated. Going to keep but not overly happy with this product.

I got these for my husband who was mourning the loss of his 30 year old moccasins from Bean. He loves them though he wishes you still made the inserts for them. That would have been perfect! Great shoes that look good on him!

Thus far reasonably satisfied; however, when I originally wore the moccasins I did have some issues with a burr in my moccasin, which did cause some irritation & slight bleeding. I was able to remove a glue-like substance from the side of the moccasin (right foot) on my own. It seems fine now. I did receive a compliment, just this morning, regarding the 'look' of my new moccasins. I am anticipating good luck from this point forward with my latest LL Bean purchase. THANK YOU.

I have worn a pair of these shoes for over 30 years. I wear size 9Wide (EE). The pair I received has two shoes marked 9 EE, and the left shoe fits correctly, but the right shoe is too large. It is too loose to wear comfortably. I assume there is some minor variation in the actual size of the right shoe. I am returning this pair and request that they be replaced with another pair of 9EE shoes. You may charge my credit card for shipping, or bill me. Love the shoes, and they last forever.

We ordered this shoe for my husband who is a size 11 in every pair of shoes he owns. The size 11 was way too big. We tried again with a size 10.5, which was also too big. In the end, he needed a full size smaller - the size 10. It's a great shoe, but the sizing is completely off. Order a full size smaller than you think you need until L.L. Bean fixes the sizing!

The shoe is the quality I have come to expect from L.L. Bean, which is to say they are high quality and proven to last. The sole provides more cushion than I expected, which is a nice surprise because I am on my feet a lot in lace up boots with my job. They are a great summertime shoe when shoes are on and off with pool and beach, and look great with a pair of chinos and a button down for church or dinner out.

These are great shoes, with or without socks, and I recently ordered my second pair. (The first pair was purchased a couple years ago.) They seem to be same in all respects EXCEPT that the 'Cactus' color (which is what I purchased before, and ordered again) is no longer like it looks on the website (which still depicts my 'old' shoes). It is significantly darker -- so much so that I returned the first pair I received (despite the box being labelled 'Cactus') as I thought I had been sent the wrong item. When the replacement pair arrived today, they were the same dark color. Not ugly (and I'll certainly keep them) but definitely NOT same light brown color as purchased before. (Tried unsuccessfully to upload a picture so you could see old color vs. new.)

Since i love my camp mocs so much and wear all the time; this may seem dumb, but could you please make this identical shoe with a LEATHER SOLE AND A HEAL and a welt??? I would buy many and give to my friends in the clothing business. Thanks Brad

The shoe construction and material seems to be excellent. Still in break-in period. Wearing on carpet only. Problem is with sizing. The D width was too tight for foot. Exchanged for EE width and it was too wide. There should be an E width. I understand that a hand sewn shoe has to be broken in. Only problem, feet will not hold up. Trying to make do with larger size.
