Love these! I'm used to lone peaks but needed to switch it up. These were great right out of the box.

These shoes are life changing for my hallux varus , arthritic big toe. The wide toe box, rocker bottom are great but the unique dropped heel of this brand yield the best offloading of the forefoot ever. Plus they look little and cute! I usually wear 6.5 and wear those with thin athletic socks, but I kept trying to loosen the laces. . Just got this 7 to wear more comfortably and with slightly warmer socks. Can’t recommend highly enough. These have become my new hiking shoes, walking shoes and house slippers.

These are much better than Altra via Olympus, as these shoes give more, and I feel lower to the ground than with the other one. The Altra via Olympus there is a firmer sole and I feel higher off the ground. This shoe also does not make my feet lean inwards as the other Altra models can do. Glad for this shoe, it is my best!

The Altra running shoe was so comfortable! I wore them to a marathon in Berkeley California and they were seriously the most comfortable running shoes ever I could have kept on going and going and going! One thing I would say they were very comfortable they had a lot of width in the toe area but I am a true size 9 and they just felt a tiny bit too short even with socks that were not very thick. The colors are so pretty go with everything and I honestly recommend these shoes for running walking every day errands I am definitely gonna wear mine and I know they're gonna last forever because they have such a nice thick comfortable Vibram sole I feel very safe in them I did not sleep once even though the tread that I was walking on with money and rainy and slippery was totally comfortable and I totally recommend issues I've already posted them on my social media page and I'm telling everybody about them everybody about them!

I bought a Lone Peak 5 off the clearance rack and thats how I was I introduced to the brand. My shoes were really comfortable and I just used them as everyday shoes. I decided to look for a Altra pair for work that had more cushion for my long work days in the medical field. I decided on the Olympus and I could not be happier and I could not more highly recommend. Its price point made me hesitate but I decided to take the jump and I have actually purchased a second pair.

This shoe upped my running game and I'm never going back to my previous shoe. The Altra Olympus 5 provides comfort and grip to carry me comfortably through rough terrains and helps me push past the last mile. The shoe is roomy with just enough width to allow my foot to expand on each step but not wide enough to feel like I would fall out of the shoe. The bottom composite of the shoe adapted to the terrain on my chosen trail and felt like it was constructed specifically for me and the trail.

This is my first time trying Altra's and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't made it to dedicated trails but some dirt paths in the parks and cement roads the shoes have been comfortable. I did notice same issue as noted by some others that the tongue is a bit stiff and cuts into your foot if your socks are not high enough, simple fix, wear taller socks. Overall I'm enjoying the Altra.

I absolutely love these shoes. I was recently diagnosed with RA and thought my running days were numbered. But the wide toe box is super comfortable. The extra cushioning on the soles is great for my joints. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants comfortable shoes with tons of room for your toes. Great for hiking and running!

I usually wear a 6-1/2, and in another pair of Altras I wear a 7. I this particular style I needed a 7-1/2, but in that size, the shoe is amazing. I just finished walking 5-7 miles per day for ten days in Israel, and the shoes were perfect; incredibly comfortable and they handled the uneven surfaces very well. My only "complaint" is that the trim around the foot opening is already frayed on both shoes in an area about 1" long. Because of the comfort and stability, I would buy the shoes again, even with this worn area showing after only two weeks of moderately heavy wear.

I struggle to find shoes wide enough for my feet, especially my toes and cushioned enough for my joints. These are perfect! I wish they made slip resistant shoes for Restaurant workers.

Women size 9 shoes fit perfectly true to size and the wide toe box helps relieve the toe cramps on long hikes.

I have wide feet and at first I thought these looked a little weird, but I love they way they feel on my feet without squeezing my toes together. I feel like my feet have adequate support whether I'm walking running or jogging with these on.

These fit like a glove, but I did take advice to size up half a size. I usually wear 7 1/2, and I got an 8 in the Olympus 5. Such great stabilizing with the wider back of the sole and wonderful traction. I take these on some very gravely and muddy trails. My only critique is that the top of the white sole by the red fabric is painted to match… hoping it won’t prematurely wear compared to the rest of the shoe. Looking forward to getting on trail again with these soon.

Feels like walking on clouds. Very comfortable and feels a lot like Hoka Clifton's but even more cushion. The toe box is wide which I really appreciate as my feet swell as I run. Would buy these again. They felt very stable even through they are thick.

I have never seen shoes shaped this way. It look a little bit to get used to seeing a shoe that looks like this (Wider at the toes) but they have felt amazing. The last few pairs of shoes I've had would rip around my pinky toe after a few months of use. The arch support doesn't look very extreme but they are cushioned enough that my feet don't hurt while I'm running. This is amazing since I was recently diagnosed with a bone spur on my right foot and possibly a fracture on my left foot. Best run I've had in a long time!

After hiking in the Olympus 4 through south and central AT states, the 5s were a more snug, agile, grippier shoe for the north's boulders, roots and mud. Perfect fit for technical terrain.

I purchased my first pair of Ultras 3 weeks ago. Specifically the Olympus 5. I was struggling with my usual "go too" Cascadias. I felt like they were wearing out so quickly and not offering the support I needed for ultra distance trail running. My feet were hurting after long runs. I thought it was just me getting older and arthritis kicking in. I tried on every pair of trail shoes I could find. I steered away from Altras because I thought they were too wide and boxy for my foot. After feeling frustrated with all the other shoes, I decided I should at least give them a go. I tried on the Ultra Olympus and was still skeptical but was under pressure for a new shoe. I was a Month out from R2R2R, my longest and toughest run thus far. I took a chance and went with the Ultras. My run was yesterday. I can't believe how much I LOVE these shoes! My feet didn't bother me a bit. No hot spots. No tender heels. No joint painnothing! I've never felt as good on a long run as I did yesterday. They offer great protection from rough terrain, the stability is unbeatable and the comfort is top notch! I'm a believer.

LOVE the fit of Olympus. Literally have 10 + pairs and everyone has irreparable holes worn thru the fabric over the big toe just to the left of the reinforcement! I don't have dragon nails! I file them flat, no length, no free edge. Tried larger size. And yes I keep buying them because I literally can't walk in any other brand (chronic plantar fascitis). Altra please reinforce the whole tip of the shoe. Do you repair them for a fee or have a patch kit you sell? Believe me I've tried duct tape, vinyl, resticking the fabric. Nada. My shoe graveyard is taking over my closet. I hang on to them hoping I will get so magic news of a fix. Ok, rant over. If you have any suggestions or want to announce,"Now, Olympus with thecompletely reinforced toe!" I will wait. Your super loyal customer. Ready to order 10 more pairs with the glitch fixed! Honestly, thanks for giving me my ability to walk back. Avid walker for 8 years now. People stop me to ask what Brand I'm wearing. Even had a man with a prosthetic leg ask me because he can only wear Zero-Drop shoes. There are a lot of us that need you! Thanks

I was always skeptical of these shoes because of the stack height. But I have a chronic injury that's best prevented with 0 drop shoes - and I wanted a lot of cushion for the long races. These did not disappoint - as a matter of fact, I'd say they just saved me in my last race. The cushion is phenomenal, the shoes are actually light (even when soaking wet), they drain well, and the real surprise was the traction. I just completed a mountain ultra, where we were treated to rain, hail, lightening, snow and slush. The trail turned into a river and I had no idea what my foot was going to land on, but despite the stack height, these were super stable. They had incredible traction on the downhills, which were slick, muddy and covered with wet rock. The laces stayed secure, and I'm a huge fan of the high achilles protection in the back. I do think these run short - I had to size a half size up. But I am really surprised at how stable they are, how good the traction is, and how well they perform in a variety of terrain. High recommend.

These were a perfect 6.5 and I’m enjoying the wide toe box for my painful arthritic large big toe. They’re nice and stiff with a rocker that makes them the most comfortable thing I’ve had on my feet in years. I was going to buy the Hoka Bondi 8 size 6, but these are wider and put less pressure on my forefoot. Bliss!

I like Altra shoes. I purchased Olympus 4 in my regular size (5.5) and I liked the cushion, overall, and design of the heel collar. I returned them because Altar doesn't offer a size 5 they were at least a full size or more too large. I read the reviews for the v5 and ordered a pair. I couldn't be happier! These do seem like they may be slightly smaller than Lone Peak or timp and probably half to full size smaller than. Olympus4. These Olympus 5 fit perfectly! like the way I can sung the heel cup and collar without having to over tighten the laces on my instep. The toe box not only offers Altra's signature toe box but, unlike some other Altar styles, they don't rub the tops of my toes. The uppers seem a less stretchy than Paradigm or torin. I like these better the fabric is more like Altra King Mountain hikers that I have happily worn for many, many mikes. My paradigms seem stretched and sloppy big after 2 months of two days a week wear. I have flat feel, have had 6 surgeries and neuroma that can severely limit my mobility if my shoes aren't quite right. I wore them inside for a day. Day 2 packed my old Alta King Mountain hikers as back up and wore my new Olympus 5s for an eight mile hike. My feet felt great. I wore my new Olympus for 10 miles the next day I am a happy hiker! I am going to purchase another pair. If these hold up after 2 weeks and 190 miles I will order 2 more.
