These are a killer pair of boots - they are insanely comfortable (no breaking in needed!) lightweight and look great. The design features are outstanding with the rapid lacing system, amazing padding and ankle support and deep grip. Attention to detail in the design is brilliant with a little pocket in the tongue for the loose lace which hides it away solving one of my pet hates for long boot laces! Best boots I've ever owned, thanks!

Bought this a few weeks ago. Wished I had gotten the Elixir Mid Core though. Need a wider shoe for toes.

Do I wear these on trails? No. I wear them to my job as a teacher. Do the students like them? Not one has said a thing to me. But, they are so comfortable I forget I have them on. They have basically replaced my SpeedCross 5 GTXs that have worn out tread but refuse to die. Good support, supremely comfortable, and awesome color way.

I had to exchange shoe for a larger size; customer service was thorough and the process went smoothly.

As a utility locator I do alot of walking through some variable terrain and these have held up to the challenge for the past 2 years!

Great shoes. Great design. I love the innovative shoe laces. Just pull and tug under the little pocket under the tongue and done with tighten up the shoe laces. So easy and simple. Love it.

This is my second pair of Cross Hike boots. It's like walking in a favourite pair of bedroom slippers. Best walking boots I've ever had.

I found a used pair of these a couple years ago. The size was just 1/2 too small but I knew after wearing it that it was going to accommodate my bunions well so I purchased a pair new. They have been fantastic throughout the past fall and winter seasons. So well that I'm going to get a second pair. The laces are a great feature: Very quick on and off. No additional insole needed with the bed being comfortable on pavement or trails.

I recently purchased these bad boys and to date love them. First time I put them on I went on a 7 mile hike and felt like they were nearly broken in! Love the grip these provide and expect to take them with me for the Tour du Mont Blanc in July!

I've had them for little over a year but recently went to a long trip on Japan and the boots were fantastic. the easy on off cord system worked marvelously for quickly moving on airports and places that required to take the shoes off greatly recommended

I have been looking for hiking boots that offer ankle support, are light weight, have good grip for mud and rocks, will dry quickly and are easy on/off. They will be used for "wet foot" canoe camping trips. I just need to drill a drainage hole in the heel to let the water out while canoeing. So far, they are comfortable for hiking. I have worn quick lace trail running/hiking shoes for 10 years.

I was looking for some cool waterproof hikers and I compared and contrasted these against several others. I was sold by the reputation of Salomon, by the (description of) quality of the construction of the shoe, by the style of the shoes, and by the ratings from other purchasers. This things are built like a tank and are waaaay too cool (looking)! My first wear was not on a hike, but just around town, and they are VERY comfortable. I love the quick tie (laces), too! Can't wait to really break them in --- and I am confident they will perform as described. Thank you Salomon, for such a great product!

One often not mentioned advantage of this boot, is that it's fantastic for flying with. Due to how light these boots are, they make an absolutely fantastic travel companion for a lightweight multipurpose set of boots. I've recommended these and the Speed Assault 2s for years now and my newest pair didn't disappoint. Absolutely love the quick lace feature, and the ability to pack these boots into a pack. Due to how light they are, you'll forget you're carrying them! A quick point on sizing - I've found that most of the Speed Cross or Cross Hike line up runs a tad small. I recommend ordering a half size up if you plan on using thicker insoles or orthotics.

Got them in and on my feetwent back to buy two more pairs and they're out of stockhopefully they're not discontinuing the colors

Great walking boots especially in muddy wet conditions

Light, nimble and super comfortable out of the box. Even more so once I broke them in. 1st hike was 5 miles of bushwhacking through varying terrain (mud, snow, ice, with areas of heavy rock). The boots performed better than expected! Love em!

Great all around water proof hiking boot. I have used them in mud, snow and dry conditions. Good grip and waterproofing. I like the easy lacing but it is weird to tuck it in when you are done cinching the shoe. My only real complaint is the sizing is small. I have the Salomon XUltra Goretex hiking boot and I had to size up in this boot. If your worried about in between and you want room to put on a good mid to thick wool sock, size up. I really like how this boot is much easier to clean off if your in lots of mud compared to the Ultra. The ultra has always looked dirty since the first time I wore it because of the small crevices on the outside of the shoe. This shoe is much easier to clean up and rinse off.

I bought them Mouth ago,then went for Siing in Bulgaria for 2 weeks...I just love them! I use to have the previous model...but they gone quickly.This one is my top purchase for the last year

I have a few of this model in differing colours as I find Salomon shoes fit my feet so well and very comfortable. Great waterproof hiking boots. The quick laces with pocket for storing them in the tongue is such a great feature - far better than laces ups that keep coming undone - these alwasy stay strong.

I have been buying these shoes avery year. I wear them most days. They are very comfortable and give great support.

I was a little put off the first week or so by the lace system. It takes a bit more time than traditional laces but the comfort and stability of the shoe plus the sturdiness once the lace is tied correctly made up for it.

They are an excellent hiking boots. They are strong but they are soft and gentle in your feet.

I have just received my second pair of the Cross Hike mid 2, I wore the first for 16 months, I used them 5-6 days a week hill running/tabbing. I just retired them after the 1000 mile mark. There was very little wear on the actual boots, some stitching finally separating only in the last month! The sole has lasted really well, wore down very evenly. Amazing boots! Looking forward to the next 1000 in my new boots
