I have had these several weeks-they lace up so fast it in and out so easy. I got hem for light day hikes and knock arounds..great fit and function

These boots really are brilliant! They are the comfiest and most flexible boots I have ever owned and worn and the quick lock lace fasteners are brilliant.. one pull and they are tight. Others have commented on how poor this system is. I massively disagree and after wearing them to climb Ben Nevis two days ago, covering 10 hrs of walking/35,000 steps I think I can say with confidence that they are comfy and the laces never slipped or loosened once. The materials and design are great too.. completely waterproof!! Nothing more I could ask for. Well done Salomon!!

Have worn these twice and they are very comfortable. Will be climbing Mount Elbert soon so will let you know how they fare

I was skeptical of these shoes when I first put them on, but after an hour on the trail, climbing over 500' in elevation, I was SOLD! There light weight and support was excellent. They feel almost like you're walking on a cloud. I would buy another pair!

Fits like a glove on my feet and is good for those muddy days

This is my second pair of the cross hike boots. I like the improved cross hike 2 better than the 1.

Haven't had a lot of time to use them but when I did, they're awesome! Hard to find boots/shoes that do well with my knees.

I live in the North East and bought these in the fall of 2022. I hike with My dog in the woods nearly everyday, no matter the weather. Some of our hikes are easy, and some moderate. The grip of these is outstanding! Now that we are in the spring I can say that I highly recommend them. I find Solomon runs narrow so I went up a half size. The fit perfect, and I find the toe box and durability are fine.

I bout these boots 4 months ago and have worn them everyday, I cover between 5 and 10 miles a day at least 5 days a week. Living in the Rossendale Valley, i cover all types of terrain and the boots haven't let me down once, in snow, heavy rain, nud or the tarmac farm roads. They took a while to break in and the flexibility of the sole took a while to get used to as my feet needed to harden, but they are the best boots I have ever trekked in. I am used to military boots and civi boots have never worked for me, until now. I've put at least 400 hard miles into these, including jogging. They are like a good glove now. I'm fat in doing an 82 mile trek in April and these are my choice!

These might be my favorite shoes I have ever worn. Very comfortable. And they are ready for anything. I lift weights in these. I walk my dogs in these. I wear these out. Unless I am wearing dress shoes, I am wearing these boots. Thinking about buying a 2nd pair incase these ever wear out.

Comfortable from first wear. Fast lacing is great. Ran in them, like running on pillows

I bought these last month for walks in the snow and for the inevitable daily snow blowing and shoveling of the driveway and entry to the house. Shoes have been great. Similar fit to my other Salmons I wear on the daily. Cozy and warm, keep the snow out, and they dry reasonably fast. I do* wish the tongue baffle came up higher... I was surprised that the tongue is connected to the shoe so low reducing the weather impermeability. But it hasn't been an issue as I am mostly wearing these with snow pants.

These shoes arrived yesterday and within an hour I embarked on a 3 mile hike in the snowy/muddy/icy Maine woods near my home. No break in needed. They seemed like 1/2 size small, which is perfect for me as I needed them a wee bit smaller. I hiked on snowy muddy trails and had the best traction of any hiking boot I have ever owned. My feet stayed perfectly dry. They are very stable, very light with a stiff sole. I like them much better than the Merrells that I have been wearing for years. I just hope the quick lacing system holds up for a long time because I plan on keeping them for years.

I bought these for my first pair of hiking boots and I was very surprised, I got a size 10 which is my usual size. It fit very good and there was zero break in period. But the toe box was a bit narrow. It did not cause me any problems but for those with wide feet may find it a bit constricting. The Contragrip outsole did very well in the terrain I was walking in and the Gore-Tex did amazing against the mud and water that I had to walk through.

I feel that these are more comfortable than the first ones.

Loved the first version. This fixes any of the problems I had with the first. Better ankle support and another set of eyelets. Great for rock, dirt, or sand. Light and comfortable. Great for long and short hikes. Great for elevation increase.

I bought these for some long days on the fells/mountains and wanted a hybrid shoe as I often hike up mountains with my partner and then we run back down at speed. This shoe is surprisingly comfy and gripy for any terrain yet light enough to feel agile when required. As an elite fell runner I have gone through countless models of running shoes and whilst I bought these to hike in I feel terrific running in them too. The flexibility and versatility of this shoe is why it's my go to pair for an all day outing on rough ground. I'm have now even bought myself a spare pair!

I bought 'em to replace a pair of Solomon boots that I got at Bean many years ago and loved. When NYC is wet, or on the cold side, these look and feel great.
