These shoes have a band in the tongue that make them really hard to get on, even when unlaced.

Shoe looks good. Shoelaces just for show. Can't tighten up the shoe as there is no separate tongue. Shoe when new is stiff so my heals slides around. After wearing for 2 weeks the shoe is loosening up and doesn't slip as much but they are loose on my feet. Padding is ok, but sure won't wear these for a long walk. These are not going to last for several years as my other J M shoes have. So I'm disappointed. Will be going back to look at Sketchers.

I bought this shoe on line - this shoe is so tight and hard to put on based on how the shoe is made. I did not see anything in the description of the shoe while I was reviewing the shoe informing how the shoe opening was structured. I have not been able to put this shoe on because you just can not open it enough. This looked like a good shoe but it is not something I can recommend

Shoes were way to big, all reviews indicated that they ran very small and tight. I ordered my normal size and they were at a minimum a full size to big. I like the style, but fit was horrible.

fit was much too tight for a standard width shoe ... the 3rd such instance of various JM shoes I've experienced. The style is sharp and really wish they'd worked out ... but not to be and will be returning.

Great looking, high quality but purchased them for width flexibility. While they may allow for wide width by removing insole, the sewn-in tongue and lace area leave no allowance to insert foot. Had to return. Disappointed.

I loved the shoe unfortunately I could get my foot in even with the inner sole removed. Since the tongue could not be moved it was too tight.

I love the shoe but unfortunately, the show does open wide enough to get your foot in since the tongue is attached on both sides. I have wide feet with a high instep so back they go.

Toe box was much smaller that usual. I wear 10 M/W in all of my JM shoes/boots. Though an on-line purchase, I returned them to a local store where I tried the same shoe in a 10.5 - same problem with the toe box. Ended up with different pair of shoes that I am very pleased with.

As an owner of numerous pairs of J M shoes this is the first pair that I was disappointed in. I liked the style and looks but I could not get the shoes on without laboring. The tongue did not have enough stretch to allow me to slide my feet in. Simply could not get them on my feet.

Only gave it 2 stars because it wasn't a comfortable fit. This was unusual for me since I have 8 pairs of JnM shoes that I love, from dress to casual Like all your shoes, I had no issues with the quality.

I wear 10 or 10.5 in all the shoes I own. I bought a 10.5 in these and they were a good 1.5 inches longer than any of my other shoes. Size wise, they didn't actually have the much extra space inside the shoe for my foot, which makes no sense, since the shoe itself was just gigantic. I have other JM dress shoes in size 10 and they feel great and are not huge. It's a bummer because I really like the style and it's rare to find tan leather sneakers.

Very tight across the foot and toes. Already wore them outside so can't return them. Upset to have spent so much money on an otherwise nice shoe.

I liked the "look" of these shoes, but unfortunately the fit and design were a bit off. Specifically the tongue being fully attached on the sides made them very difficult to get on, and once on, they felt very tight across the widest part of my foot. Not sure why the designers chose to do attach the tongue as I see no benefit.

I have a normal width foot, this enclosure is just too tight making them really hard to slip into. Aside from that, they rub the back of my heel so badly that I can't even wear them. Ive tried wearing them several times to break them in but no luck. I can't return them since Ive worn them outside. Disappointing when you pay good money for a shoe that is almost unwearable. Ive had other JM shoes that were great too.

Ordered a wide, but that was difficult to get on. I stopped there because I knew it wouldn't be a shoe I would reach for on my way out the door. I liked the idea and look of the shoe. I returned.
