These are a nice design aesthetically. Although there are laces to loosen, the attached tongue makes them very difficult to put on. They would be great if they would loosen enough to easily get them on and then use the laces to tighten the fit.

Great looking shoe. The top opening is too small and even when I was able to get the shoes on they were snug. I wore them around the house for a bit to see if they would relax a bit but they did not. I sent them back.

I like the look of these shoes but they are very tight. Once you get them on they are fine, but they are very narrow (I wear a 10M). Never had a problem with sizing with JM shoes but these were not a great fit.

I so wanted these to work. But I have a high instep and I couldn't even get my foot into these. The tongue is attached all the way up and I just couldn't get them on. I have a similar problem with Keens. If the tongue wasn't attached at the sides, I think it would be OK...too bad.

I ordered a size 11.5 which is my normal size and would need a 12.5 to wear it comfortably. The toe box looks very narrow - hard to imagine a good fit and I don't have a particularly wide foot. They were delivered less than ten minutes ago and I've already requested a return.

I have been buying ur shoes for many years but as you have tried to make one shoe to have 2 widths by using insoles is not working out for me. My foot has always been a normal width. Never had to buy a wide or narrow size but now your shoes are narrow and tight with the insoles and wide without. I like the quality of your shoes but I feel this procedure that you are using is going to limit the shoes that I and many others are going to buy because for the price of the shoe I expect them to be as comfortable as your shoes always were.

Shoes looked amazing and I would love to have tried them but... I have a high arch and I cannot get my foot into shoes that have a "fixed" tongue. I would recommend making these shoes with the tongues unattached or stretch. I absolutely could not get my foot to slide in the opening.

These shoes would be absolutely perfect except for one design flaw: the tongue is not independent from the body of the shoe and, as a result, they are quite difficult to put on and take off and they are a little too tight around the top side. I'm not sure why they did that. It seems like a very poor design for a shoe.

The shoes doesn't 'open up' behind/at the tongue so it is VERY DIFFICULT to get the shoes on. I wouldn't have purchased them if I knew that.

These were my favorite shoes until a loud popping sound began coming from the right shoe. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore so I can't give them another chance.

I bought the first pair in my regular size, and could not get my feet in the shoes at all. I got a second pair a half size up, and am able to get them on my feet, but there is no way I can just slip them on. The second pair is also defective because the shoes do not match. One is a dark navy, the other a very faded blue/gray. Other than that the shoes are comfortable, and, had they been the same color, they are quite handsome.

Read the reviews before ordering these shoes. I love the design. But, they are impossible to get on- there is no stretch to them and they are super, super narrow. Very uncomfortable to try to put on, and wear all day. I had them professionally "stretched" by a shoe repairman, and after spending $35 more, they still are not any good. Save yourself the money - there is a reason these keep staying on "sale".

Liked the shoe, not a good fit. Too small. Could not get foot inside opening of shoe. Bought larger size and wide.

Shoe looked nice but the fit was totally off. The shoe was narrow and the sizing seemed too large. It just didn't seem like the Johnston & Murphy quality that I'm use to.

I love the look of these shoes but they were very uncomfortable. Very difficult to get on. I have purchased shoes many times from J&M and this the 1st time I've been disappointed.

The fit is bad they really should have two sizes to cover wide feet. And got blisters on the first day I put them on.Really not worth the price they charge. A bad product from a good company

Shoes look great but are very uncomfortable. That inner sock makes it difficult to put Shoes on if your feet are wide. These shoes would be better in a true wide version.

I have a high arch and could not get either shoe on my foot. Luckly my son has much skinnier feet and I gave them to him. Nicely made but no way I can wear a shoe with an opening that narrow. I have the Lux Sport Hybrid, although a tad narrow, I can at least get my foot into it. AVOID IF YOU HAVE A HIGH ARCH

Very disappointed as the design of the water resistant sock liner was WAY too tight and wouldn't allow my medium feet to insert no matter how hard I tried. Very poor design for this shoe. I've purchased several previous models and absolutely loved their design and comfort most of all. You need a disclaimer on these to clearly explain you must go up to a wide if you are a medium in order to fit into these. Also , you don't have wide offerings in these models. Love the model shoe , but hate the design of the water resistant liner. Needs to be stretchable . Design team could very easily do this on all your water resistant liners.

The shoe was not what I expected. I was looking for something less like a sneaker and more like a causal shoe with a sporty look.

I was excited for these because the description made them sound very comfortable. However, they were unfortunately too narrow and I had to return them.
