A little clunky. More bulky like a work shoe... comfortable. So giving a chance to break in.

The white core of the shoelaces is visible through the brown covering shortly after getting the shoes . I called Johnston and Murphy and was told that you can't replace because you don't carry "accessories"!!!! Very disappointing!!!

The seams were not great. The replacement wouldn't arrive in time. They age okay, but I wouldn't buy these again.

The toe portion of the shoe scuffs easily. Light weight is a plus along with comfort. The longevity concerns me for the price, tbd.

Looks and quality is 5 star but fit only gets 1 star. The back side was wide and the front was narrow.

Just a few months of wear and the laces.... Great looking shoe. Maybe a bit larger than the size, need to add n insole.

Look great out of the box, very comfortable, quality is less than expected.

Very comfortable, as all J&M are! Great looking shoe! This one, however, is difficult to recover from accidental scratches or scuffs on the toes. Worn mine maybe twice and they no longer have the fresh new look, even at my best efforts to buff and shine them so they won't show the scuffs.

While this is a very good looking shoe, it needs padding in the heal to make it comfortable. Due to this, The break in period is taking much longer than it should and also causes some irritation and blistering on the top of your heel. 3 stars for me

These shoes look great, and the insoles are soft. They just rub your heel because the insoles are so soft that your foot sinks a little in the shoe when you walk. I'm not sure I would buy them again. I had to add a cushion for the heel to be able to wear them. For the price, I was expecting more.

Do not find this shoe comfortable. Rubs the back of the heal and the toe has collapsed.

Not terribly unusual for a new shoe to rub. But a little surprising to have a J&M shoe do it. The fit is good, so that's not the problem. Not the end of the world, but I'd gotten used to instant comfort with my other J&M shoes (pretty much all I buy on the dress side. Its J&M and its not cheap, so I had expected more from this casual shoe.

My old pair of J&M casuals finally wore out and these were the closest I could come. They are significantly lighter in weight, which is good, however they feel much cheaper in quality vs. my old shoes. Additionally, the heel is much less defined/pronounced than I was expecting. I would call them a serviceable replacement, but not sure I would get them again.

I think this is may a bit premature as I want to give the shoe another couple of wears before a true rating. Love the color and style but my day one in the shoe the leather didn't break and I have a blister on my left heal.

Nice looking shoes, but they rub on the backs of my heels and after a couple of weeks the laces started to come apart.

This shoe runs a half size smaller than a Brooks or New Balance shoe size. It runs true to a shoe made in the US. I had to return for a smaller size.

Good looking shoe and nice finish but it is too narrow from the toes cannot be classified as medium width by any means and I returned it

I own over a dozen J&M shoes and am a big fan. When laced up these shoes cannot be snugged up around my ankle. As a result, when walking, the shoes are sloppy and my toes are either smushed against the front or my heel is snug and my toes have lots of room. I just don't think it's a good design. Love the sole and the look. I've already worn them out so I can't return them. I'm bummed!

This is a really nice looking shoe and would be comfortable if they weren't so narrow in the tow area. I didn't realize they were so pointy and they hurt my toes. I would try a wide if they carried one. If they could re-design the toe a bit it would be a perfect shoe.
