The fit and style is good. In the past I've ordered the same nightgown. The previous ones were made from heavy duty good flannel. This one has a lower quality flannel, which is lighter weight, too. There are different style points, too. The back isn't as generously tucked, and the overall fabric is reduced. The current model is also 10.00 more than the ones that I've bought before.

purchased size 3x. Size good. length is long just what i wanted .Disappointed in material after washed as lots of lint in dryer and material has balls on it . Thickness of flannel was good.

Too much red lint in the dryer. Not very soft.. not like the ones I used to buy from you.

I wanted a second flannel gown (I already have one!), but I have to say the fabric isn't as good quality as the one I purchased 3 years ago. A bit disappointing.

Material is soft but sheds fuzzy stuff everywhere I go and onto everything I come in contact with washing it for the third time to see it gets any better. Not happy with it and it was a gift.

Love the pockets but prefer the old style and fabric. Please keep the pockets and go back to a decent flannel fabric. This one keeps shedding and pilling. I have purchased these nightgowns for years and still have all but one. I have my doubts that this one will stand the test of time as the others have.

Warm & soft flannel;I like the pockets; top fits well but body of gown is huge, way too much fabric.

The nightgown fits well, a good length but warmer than I wanted.

The material is a heavy flannel and very toasty warm for cold Michigan winter nights. However I found that it runs very large. I ordered a regular large and could have used a petite medium. The sleeves came down over my hands; I had to move the buttons on the cuffs to tighten them up. I washed it in hot water and dried it on high and it did shrink up somewhat. I also don't need pockets but I know that some like them.

This is more like a long nightshirt. I bought this to replace a very old LLBean Flannel Nightgown that was beautifully made with elegant detail - 14 tiny pintucks to the current 4 large on either side of the buttons; the back also had numerous pintucks instead of the few there are now; the old one was very flattering, feminine, and modest. The old nightgown also scalloped up slightly at the sides which oddly helps with moving around. The new nightgown flannel, although soft, seems more suited to a thick flannel shirt. More rugged. There are also very large pockets which seem more appropriate to a bathrobe. Designing a flannel nightgown can be warm, feminine, and alluring. This one is warm.

I would not call this fabric flannel. It has a fluffy, slightly itchy synthetic feel. Please bring back the excellent flannel nightgowns you used to sell.

I am disappointed because I was expecting the flannel to have more heft to it. If you are looking for a lightweight flannel that you could even wear in the summer in air conditioning, this is the flannel for you. If you are looking for a flannel with more heft to it, this isn't that. Also, I prefer a looser fit and so I should have sized up from the 1X to a 2X.

While it is a perfect fit, the material feels like synthetic fluff, instead of solid cotton flannel. Needlessly overpriced!

I would like to order another one of these. I got one a couple years ago, and it's very soft, warm, and comfortable. However, this nightgown runs HUGE! I had to put a couple darts in my other one to make it smaller. I know this is a nightgown, and it should fit loosely, but this is ridiculous. Too bad, because if it wasn't for that, I would definitely order another another one.

I can't begin to express how disappointing it was to learn the company had changed from the former Victorian gown to the current style that has added pockets. This feature besides being seriously useless has changed the fit. Now I'm quick to say the fabric and workmanship are flawless. And I even bought a second gown for that fact but PLEASE consider going back to the design that fits much better. Thank you.

Since I finally had to put my 2 oldest LL Bean Flannel nightgowns to rest, I got 2 of these as gifts for Christmas 2019! My only complaint is that the pockets are totally not needed in my opinion! I cut mine out and stitched the seam closed and like it much better this way!

I loved the gown. Soft, fluffy nice and warm. I live in California, so I haven't worn it until recently. It was even oversized, which was fine with me. Until I washed it a couple of times. it shrunk at least 1 size, Length and width. No longer comfortable. Sending it back. Thinking of sizing up? Maybe if it shrinks, it will still be wearable? Here's hoping.

Warm and soft however sheds until washed at least three times. I washed it before use and was covered in fuzzies when I awoke. This went away after the third wash but it was annoying. This is not the quality I expected though I have several other non flannel nightgowns from LLBean and I love them! Still, this gown is warm and comfortable once the lint goes away.

This was a size extra small and it fit like it was at least a medium. It is very wide in the width. I thought washing it in hot water and drying in the dryer would make it shrink to fit like an extra small but it did not although it did shrink a little. These definitely run big.

I love how this nightgown looks and feels, and the pintuck details are really nice, but the flannel is VERY fuzzy and is constantly shedding. After reading other reviews about this, and L.L.Bean's responses, I've washed it many, many times, and it still sheds fuzz persistently. After washing my face in the shower with a wash cloth, fuzz still comes off on my toner cotton pad. NOOOOO. Not sending back, and will keep on washing and hoping, but if you are sensitive to fuzz try another night gown.

My only problem is that the fabric sheds. In the wash it is all over the clothes that it is washed with. I find it in my hair. It is even in the bedding.

This nightgown is a huge rectangle with sleeves. Honestly, it looks like a tarp. I kept it and got so tangled up in it I couldn't sleep. What a mistake it was to keep it. My husband laughed at me when he saw me in it. Taking it to Goodwill,

I have ordered several LL Bean flannel nightgowns in 2X which fit perfectly. Therefore I was surprised when this gown was very long. The hem hit the floor and the sleeves reached my fingers. I didn't return it and would recommend it to anyone taller than I.

When I first received this nightgown last year I loved the soft feel and fit, it was comfortable and cozy. Through many washes this material has been disappointing. It has become stiff and has many small pills which makes the material scratchy. I would not recommend this fabric to anyone who has any sensitivities to textures with their clothing.
