I already owned two of these previously. They were beautiful, and comfortable. My favorite nightgowns. I ordered this new one and the same size as previous two. This one didn't fit the same. Way too roomy, so the fabric bunched under my arms. uncomfortable.
I returned to store, they don't carry these in store, so I couldn't try on a different size to see if that would fit. I'm very disappointed.

The button hole stitching is not sewn correctly, it's not hardly sewn at all. . It's all frayed. check before you wear the item. Otherwise, it's very nice. I'm exchanging with hopes they have some that are sewn correctly. Not typical LLBean quality at all.

I love the design of this nightgown. It looks so warm and cozy. BUT, not everyone loves plaid. I find the plaids rather ugly and miss the dobby gowns in this design you offered several years ago. Solids would be nice as well. I am a long-time LL Bean customer.

I like everything about this nightgown but disappointed and surprised with how thin the flannel is. The flannel nightgown from a different company is twice as heavy. I'm debating about returning it.

The cotton flannel fabric is very soft. It washes well the first wash. But, wash it a second time and the fabric pills considerably. Earlier I had purchased the matching robe and encountered the same problem with the cotton flannel fabric when I washed it the second time after the matching nightgowns had arrived. . I would not recommend purchasing either item because of the considerable pilling.

This runs very large. I ordered a small like my other ones and the sizing is not accurate.

I purchased this in a different color several years ago, and I really loved it. I decided to purchase it again, but this time the weight of the flannel fabric is clearly much lighter. This means it is less warm and less durable. The price is probably the same as before or a few dollars higher.

I have been purchasing LL Bean Women's Plus Scotch Plaid Pintuck Flannel Nightgowns for many years and have been very satisfied. They used to be made of a high quality, heavy flannel, but this one is not made of the same heavy quality flannel as my past nightgowns, which I am still wearing. If the LL Bean company is going to charge such a high price, then please use high quality materials. The LL Bean name has always been known for quality... I'm not impressed with my recent purchase.

I purchased a Small - it was huge !! No collar and have to wear a belt around the waist - just a poor fit

Would be a 5 except the plaid doesn't line upon either side. Sloppy work.

I have many of these nightgowns. They are good looking and warm and fit my 5'10" perfectly when brand new albeit not at full ankle length. BUT, even with lukewarm washing and low drying the sleeves get shorter and shorter with repeated washing and end up mid-forearm length. That's a major annoyance. The other is that sometimes the pockets don't dry smoothly and are lumpy to lie on. TALL nightgowns would be a great improvement as would NON-SHRINK flannel.

Very happy to have the size and color that I wanted in stock, most stores don't carry petites or extra smalls. Fits well. My only complaint is that the fabric is very thin, Not what I would expect for the cost. Was hoping for something more winter weight, This isn't it.

Good quality but the nightgowns were much to long. Had to have a tailor cut 7 Inches off the length of both gownss

I didn't think I'd like this as much as I do. It's such a wonderful, cozy nightcown to read in or watch a movie in. Its not heavy, and really easy to wear. I love the stunning colors as well. It keeps me kind of warm, I will say for the oricevandvthe brand, I was dissatisfied with the thickness. It's very much on the thinner side. I even have to put on pants and a cardigan if it gets colder and I'm not a cold person. But overall it's a comfortable nightgown. It's larger in the bottom then it is in the top, very much bell shaped.

I would have given this a 5 but for the price am disappointed that the plaid pattern doesn't match up on the sides. I can get this sewing quality at a big box store. I expected better. However, it is comfortable.

I purchased 3 of these in 2022. The fabric is soft and warm to wear from fall to spring. The gown itself though fans out like a tent. Combined with the length it has been hazardous for me to walk on stairs as I constantly step on the bottom of the gown. I actually just spent $15 a piece to shorten them by 5 inches.

Just ok, I kept it but the fabric is a little lighter weight than other flannel.

It's hard to find a 100% cotton nightgown that is soft and cozy and not just a piece of cheap, thin t-shirt material. This fits the bill for comfort and warmth. I generally wear a M and this nightgown is HUGE! I sent it back for a S which is perfect in the shoulders and sleeve length but still quite large in the "skirt". You can definitely curl up inside it at night if you are cold!
While I DO like this nightgown, it is very over-priced. I only bought it b/c I got 20% off but I'm still having buyer's remorse for spending so much. And for the price, the plaid pattern should be matched on the seams. It is sewn randomly with no matching seams. Maybe I'm an outlier, but for almost $100 with tax, a garment should be sewn perfectly!

I have other L.L.Bean nightgowns, and I'm not happy with this new one, which is very different from my previous ones. I don't see the purpose of the pockets, which create a lump under me when sleeping, and I think I shall remove the pockets. It is also sized incredibly large. (Vanity sizing? A small is still huge.)

Wish I could review this nightgown but.....I know I would have loved it because I already own the exact same one! This was to be my duplicate. When it arrived I immediately put it on a chair to be taken to be shortened the next day!!!! Unfortunately I live with a man who has "memory issues", aka dementia. He saw the nightgown and " put it away"!!!!!! Have searched and searched....no nightgown!!!! So, no review.

I should have chosen a medium size rather than large. The nightgown is warm and the sleeves are long enough--the pockets are a bonus. But the yardage is just too much for me to manage while attempting to sleep. I'm not the kind to wear a nightgown and slippers around the house to sip coffee and read the paper. I wear a nightgown at night, and while this one is high quality, it's too roomy for me.

Revised style includes pockets. In a nightgown?? Not great for a side sleeper. Soft fabric though.

One of the two LLBean nightgowns I have (and love!) was becoming very worn out, so I ordered a new one. I don't care much for the changes made since I bought the last one. I don't like that the new style doesn't have a collar, and I don't care much for the pockets. Also, I think the new style is cut much larger. I ordered my usual size medium, and the nightgown was huge! The sleeves were way too long, and the overall length touched the floor. I returned it for a size small, which is still rather large on my 5'4" average size frame. When I need another new nightgown, I won't be ordering from LLBean.

I purchased my first flannel gown in 2007 this is my 5th, I've washed it twice and the fabric is pilling. The quality of the flannel has deteriorated since my first one. I doubt this one will be wearable in 15 years (I still wear my first). What I love is the addition of the pockets.

This is not the heavyweight flannel I expected. It is a lightweight brushed flannel. It is however 100% cotton so that's good! The gown is nice and roomy and I do love the pockets!
