Warm, long, cozy. Good for chilly nights. Only thing I would have preferred in styling is a V-neck or scoop neck collar.

I purchased this gown as a Christmas gift for my wife. She opened it early, so she could enjoy more of the season with it. She loves it! The pockets were a welcome surprise. However, it is slightly big for her, so we had to exchange for a small.

I purchased this nightgown to wear as a robe because I have been unable to find a flannel robe with a wide skirt. The flannel is soft, warm and comfortable to wear, and I like the buttons and the narrow pleats. If only LLBean would make this as an actual robe, easy to step into instead of having to pull it over your head, and matching the plaids on the side seams, it would be perfect.

Shiver-less nightly bathroom trips without need to grab robe. Delightful contrast colors of Macbeth pattern in this cozy, light -weight flannel for early morning chores. Ordered Petite for sleeve and gown length-just above ankles-for chores and to avoid tripping going upstairs. Only disappointment was the choice of white buttons that detract from vibrant colors. If buttons had been a dark color co-ordinating with fabric, they wouldn't be the in-your-face white that precluded 5 stars.

I prefer these items oversized, so am happy there. My only complaint is the lint from the fabric seemed a little much.

I love the flannel nightgowns. I wish they had more color choices. I miss the old fashioned colors that I bought in the past, the red and white and blue and white.

Over the years I have purchased many of the flannel nightgowns. Much preferred the lovely striped ones.

I have been buying LLBean flannel nightgowns for years, or getting them as part of my Christmas loot. The pockets that are suddenly part of the flannel nightgown this year are a problem: they bunch up when I am trying to go to sleep. They are really uncomfortable, all that extra material. Someone must have thought this was a genius idea ... but I am thinking of having them cut out of the nightgown. They would also keep me from buying more of these nightgowns. Next year I might have to look at the Vermont Country Store offers.

I have renamed it a robe for wear in the morning. The sleeves will be changed from cuffed to plain.

The gown is wonderfully comfortable BUT the button plaque is not securely sewn and is separated from the gown. The gifter was promised a replacement and it did not come back into stock! Now I have a defective gown from my daughter... so very sad and disappointed in LL Bean! Unbelievable! My nickname in letters "Disappointed " was unacceptable because it didn't contain any letters!! Good Lord!!!

Warm, soft and comfortable. And none of the nasty static electricity generated by synthetic fabrics

The fit and length were just right, roomy and just above the floor. I love the fact it has nice deep pockets. The only issue was the material was covered in fine shiny threads and I had to wash 4 times to get it clean. If I hadn't loved the gown so much I would have sent it back.

This nightgown was perfect during the polar vortex - very warm. However, I didn't give it five stars because it's too fleecy. I am used to LL Bean's thick flannel nightgowns that last for years. This fleecy flannel feels like it will deteriorate quickly in the dryer.

I have 2 of this style nightgown and I have several in the former style. After purchasing the new style in 2017 and 18, I have concluded that I really prefer the former style. It's more attractive, feminine, and very comfortable. I prefer collars and no pockets. Overall I think the previous style was also better quality. It would be great to bring back the former style as an option.

Soft and nice. The pros are the cuffed sleeves, the button up front, and the wt of the flannel is nice. Pockets not necessary for this user but some like them. We preferred the previous Vintage gown. The issue here is the buttonholes are off to the side, almost on the edge. I don't know if this was intentional design, but I think centered button holes have a much better appearance and would be a bit more durable over time. Posting the length of the petite vs others would be nice as I had to call for that information.

PREVIOUS REVIEW on 1/11/2019: This is the softest flannel nightgown I have ever had - so cozy. However, it runs REALLY BIG. I ordered a misses size extra small, and it is anything but an extra small. I did decide to keep it though, because it is so soft and comfortable, and nobody will see me wearing it except my husband. I can't speak to the piling yet though, as I have not washed it. ADDITION: I wanted to add that due to how large this nightgown runs, it was so big around that it was letting a lot of cold air up through the bottom of the gown, making my legs cold. So, I decided to take it in by sewing four long darts (two in front and two in back), taking it in a total of 8 inches. It took a lot of time, but the nightgown now fits better, although it is still too large on the top where I didn't put darts. I never would have gone through this if it hadn't taken me so long to find a really soft flannel nightgown. I don't understand why LL Bean would make a nightgown that runs so huge. My extra small would fit someone who wears a large.

I got this in 3x, I wanted a very roomy gown for sleeping and curling up in. It is very long but that is good for keeping my legs warm. I really like the flannel nightgown but it took about 5 wash cycles to get rid of the huge amount of flannel fluffballs that this gown shed! They left a trail all over the house, never had flannel do this before. I even had to wipe out the washer before using it for other clothes because of the amount of black lint. Def have to wash separately or risk your other clothes being covered in flannel skrunk. My husband wanted me to return it but I loved it so much I hung in there, I wonder if anyone else had this issue or if my gown was an anomaly? I'm glad I kept it. I love the two side pockets that are deep enough to hold my phone and lip product.

Unfortunately this is a cheaper made version of last year's nightgown. I own 3. They did take the time and effort to match the plaid on the side of the nightgown. Not many manufacturers deem this important anymore. I do. I found it larger than last years version and to my surprise it had pockets. It is the only product that I can buy an extra large and wear. All other LLBean items that I buy have to be size 3X. I don't understand. I love the quality of the flannel and the addition of the pockets. You used to have a choice of two different styles and now there is only one.

The Stewart Victoria doesn't pill as much (or perhaps it's not as evident) as the Black Watch. It's very flowing but I like that. I have to undo the top two buttons to fit my head through. These are minor quibbles (except for the pilling). I hope LL Bean makes a unlined Scotch Plaid skirt! The fabric is very soft and warm, and my eczema skin can handle cotton.

This nightgown is made of very soft, woven flannel. I had two similar ones before and they lasted for more than 10 years. They did not have side seam pockets nor did they have a yoke. I preferred the older version. The pockets are lumpy when one is in bed. Otherwise it is a fine nightgown but rather pricey.

I bought this for my mom for Christmas to replace a nightgown from LLBean I had bought her a few years ago that the style is no longer sold. I bought an XL - same size as the old one and she was swimming in it. She will be exchanging for a smaller size. She loves the quality of the flannel, but I never dreamt the sizing would be so different for flannel nightgowns made by the same company, even if they are different styles in different years.

I love the soft, warm Portuguese flannel. I like other reviewers do not like the pockets as they are very bulky, I have sewn mine up at the pocket seam and cut them out. The gown is very full and long which gives you wonderful coverage for your legs in a folded up position. The color selection is poor, not very feminine, a trade-off for the high quality flannel. Please offer other colors in the future.

Runs large. I kept it but would have preferred it didn't have so much material. It doesn't bunch up while sleeping so that is a big plus. Still could have been less material. Thanks for the excellent quality sowing and material.
