I have ordered these night gowns for decades. Love them. Everything about this flannel night gown is wonderful except the Smith color is much darker in reality than shown on the LL Bean website. Almost the color of the Black Watch choice. Will return and get another color. The pockets are a nice addition. The long length is wonderful. I really like nice long flannel night gowns. Definitely recommend this product.

Nice design - attractive; washes well; warm; runs a little large

The description of this nightgown says "falls at ankle." This is only true for nightgown-wearers of average height, of course - if you're tall you'll have cold ankles. How sweet it would be if LL Bean offered options for taller women. To make this nightgown wearable, I bought a length of flannel in a matching color and sewed it on to the bottom - it's goofy-looking, but who cares? The nightgown itself is soft, cozy, and comfortable, and now that it's long enough, it's warm all over.

Very soft, comfortable material, but very, very linty! The length, feel, fit is great, but the lint literally covered the washer, filled the dryer lint trap, then left little pieces of lint all over the house! Maybe should pre-wash/dry material before making nightgown!

The description states it is made of "high quality Portuguese cotton", but they bother my skin. Are they 100% cotton? Past purchases have not been irritating . Has something changed?

I was surprised to find pockets in this nightgown. I thought I would never use them, but they have come in handy.
Like other reviewers, I find the material flimsy compared to the previous LL Bean flannel nightgown I had and that I wore until it was threadbare. (It didn't have pockets.)

I have worn these nightgowns for years and order them large to allow for shrinkage and comfortable fit. I'll admit I was a bit concerned by reviews related to lint (not an issue here) and texture-not an issue either, as fabric is very soft. My one issue is the buttons which are quite bold and white--not the creamy, subtle buttons of the past which were most attractive. These are NOT APPEALING to my eye! I'm debating about taking the buttons off my old black watch and transferring them to this new gown--that's how much I dislike the look of these new buttons. I don't plan to use the pockets either and prefer seams but the buttons are what caused the loss of one star.

Nice cozy flannel gown. LOVE having pockets! Sleeves are a TAD too long, but I just moved the cuff button over. Only negative surprise: I washed it before wearing and the amount of heavy dark lint that came off onto the accompanying laundry items was astonishing! Had to use a lint roller on every inch of every garment.

I like this nightgown but I loved the design Bean used to carry. Please bring it back.

I hope that it stays soft and thick after washing. I have not tried it. but LLBean is the only one who still has flannel nightgowns--seems everyone wants pjs..

The fabric is soft and warm, the plaid is pretty, but the size was way off. My mistake for not reading the description well enough. It said it ran large, but this was way more than I imagined. I think I would have been okay with a medium, based on what I got. Unfortunately they were sold out of all plaids with a few colors available on back order until March, so I didn't do an exchange. It's in the mail for a refund..
If the right size was chosen I would have kept it.

Fabric is super soft and cozy. Lighter weight than one would want for an outdoor shirt, but just right for a nightgown. Pockets are not a plus. I would like it better without. Major complaint - the size. I ordered a small which is what I usually wear and it is huge, fits like a large.Washes nicely, no shrinkage.

This is my first time owning anything from LLBean, and was pleasantly surprised on the quality and comfort of this flannel nightgown. Very cozy, and especially loved that it's ankle length and has pockets. Runs a tad big, but figure it will shrink over time in the wash. My only complaint was that it was a little tight in the collar when buttoned all the way up - which is the only reason that I didn't give this nightgown 5 stars. Highly recommend, and I look forward to ordering more in different colors. My mom even approves as she tried mine on, and now wants one!

The flannel is very thick and the nightgown is warmer than department store brand flannel nightgowns. The sleeves are a little long, even after washing, for a petite size. Overall I am happy with the this nightgown.

Great fit, fabric soft well made and one thing. It has an odor that doesn't completely wash out. Never had pajamas do that. Just a mild odor almost like wet wool! Otherwise it is so comfy I just wash it a lot.

I have always liked LL Bean's flannel nighties, and this one is no different. It is incredibly warm, and I love that it reaches almost to the floor. It is a bit big, which surprised me as I typically purchase "large" sizes. But too big is way better than too small!

Soft and comfortable, but the size large is very large. Medium would probably have fit better. I'm wearing it anyway.

I love the flannel nightgown, but it is way too long. Need to hem about 3-4 inches.

I love the style, the length, and the feel of the nightgown. My only semi-negative comment is that it is very warm. I'm only wearing it when the house is too cold. Otherwise I overheat under the blankets.

I like the gown, except that I would prefer one with a collar that can be turned up, such as the ones on my now 8+ years old LL Bean gowns. Also, the sizing seems large relative to the sizing of previous LL Bean gowns I have had. (My new and old gowns are Medium Regular.) That said, overall I really like the gown!

I bought this nightgown for those really cold days to lounge around in, but its too big. The quality is excellent. It's really durable and thick. The colors are gorgeous and I think anyone would love this. Just buy a slightly smaller size.

I have two of the previous versions of this (it had multiple pleats at chest area and much lighter solid color with very faint squiggly lines throughout, it reminded me of old fashioned pj gowns). I loved the muted colors, while I'm not a huge fan of the plaid colors offered now I probably would have tried them even though it seems styling may have changed, too. I like the warmth they offer while giving freedom of movement and letting me cool down if needed. I sleep hot the older I get. I normally wear a medium in day clothes but like my pajamas bigger so I always get large in pj's.

I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear and it was still huge. I think even an XS would be enormous. Nice flannel.

Warm and pretty Christmas gown! Does not wrinkle, and washes well. Fits as expected. The only issue has been an enormous amount of fuzz, more than any other flannel I have ever owned. I had to wipe out the washer and the dryer, in addition to the lint trap. Even ran the washer empty to get rid of the fuzz. However, after 3 trips through the laundry, it leaves a more usual amount of lint. Overall, I am pleased.

Love these nightgowns ... treat myself to one at Christmas ... this year the medium was larger than past years ... still love it ... will order a small next year!
