I liked the ones with buttons and buttonholes better because the overall quality was better.
So I am disappointed.

It's stylish, warm, and the relaxed fit allows it to be worn over 2 layers (fitted tshirt & a flannel) without being constricting or bulky. I love the pockets! For me, the snaps are a downside. Not a fan of them and thought I would "get over it," but, no, that didn't happen. The ONLY reason I bought this shirt is for the side pockets as the button version (TA285016) I have does not have them. As such, it's only getting 3 stars, and I beg LLB to bring back the button version.

The snaps felt really flimsy; didn't trust them to hold up over time. Also, the neck is cut especially big so an otherwise cozy shirt didn't really feel like it would be warm. Ended up returning it.

The outside fabric is thin cotton.not flannel and is rather loose/larger than the lining. The lining is nice but I wouldn't buy this again. I'd rather a real flannel

The quality isn't like the ones from a couple years ago. Not worth $79.00.

Like the fit and color. Warm and comfortable.
Wish it was made in the USA

Maybe I am not familiar with LL bean sizes, but I originally bought a small which was WAY too big. I then exchanged it for an Xsmall and it was still way too big. It is very cozy but a boxy looking and in no way flattering/feminine. If I didn't have to keep paying return shipping, I would have sent it back.

Put this on and it feels like it will be really toasty. But the air sales right through. I'm disappointed it wasn't as warm as it looks like it should be. So, now, I'm not wearing it very often. It's pretty drafty around the collar, too, because the neck opening is a bit too big. If I had to order it again I'd order a size down.

I'm returning this for an XS. Material seems soft so I'm hoping the smaller size fits me.

Love that it's fuzzy inside and cozy, but it's way too big and boxy and there is no smaller size. I wanted it to be a shirt but it's really a jacket. Looks frumpy. Returned.

nice shirt but expensive and the color depicted is not what you get - the black plum was dark and dull not at all like what is pictured which was much brighter - returned it and not going to purchase any others due to chancing the real colors and thus incurring more potential return postage - was selected as a gift but returned as mentioned due to the color difference - deal breaker

I purchased 2 of the equivalent item many years ago and loved, loved, loved them. I've worn them so much that they were frayed and stained and needed to be replaced. Enter the purchase of the new style. I love the snaps instead of buttons, I like the side pockets. However, they shortened the length by a couple of inches or so and I miss those inches and the new style is, therefore, not as flattering on me. Haven't decided if I will add another color to my wardrobe or wait and hope that the longer length shirt becomes available later on. This new style looks more like a short jacket as opposed to a shirt. I'm really hoping the additional length comes back.

A disappointment. Fit smaller than previous years. I also preferred the buttons over snaps.

The shirt was comfortable and warm but the snaps are very hard to snap, my husband even had trouble getting them snapped. Should use buttons.

I ordered a couple of the men's version of this for myself and my wife liked to borrow them. I figured I could order her a couple of the women's versions for her to wear so I could use mine. (Tongue in cheek here, FYI.)
The female version seems to be much thinner/lighter than the men's version and doesn't hang as low. Also, it uses snaps instead of buttons. In my experience, buttons last longer and don't damage the fabric when they go bad. I'd rather have buttons.
If you want something cute and aren't inclined to be chilled, this should be fine for you. If you want something really warm, I'd consider ordering the men's version.

I have purchased 5 fleece lined flannels over the years and have been very happy with the old style. The new style has the same quality but is at least 3 inches shorter than the old style. Unfortunately i will have to return it. Please LL Bean- don't mess with the classics!

I really wanted to love this shirt jacket. It's soft, fit well across the chest (I'm large busted), and the sleeves were plenty long - something I rarely find since I have very long arms. My issue with the garment was the overall length. I expected it to have more coverage as far as my hips/butt. Since it didn't, it just felt very boxy and not jacket-like and didn't work for what I wanted. It seemed well made though and I would recommend it to others with the caveat about the length.

I was expecting a much thicker shirt.
The fit isn't flattering and I had much higher expectations from LLBean. Not meant to be worn on a very cold day.

I have 3 of these. Two of them quickly ripped on the sleeves. This is a good gardening shirt, looks a bit like a horse blanket and is comfortable. This year's shirt is larger with thinner material. I like the snaps. It is expensive and way not-fashionable but warm enough.

I bought one of these in the color Black Watch.
It was a bit too big and wide for me and a tad bit short in length.
I found that as I wore it, it began to look worse and worse as the evening wore on.
I was way too hot in it and I would not recommend you wear a shirt like this to an indoor event with a lot of people there as if you are like me, you'll become overheated.
That said, I washed this shirt and it shrunk a bit in the length (not needed) and the back of it curled up. I could not see how you could iron this curled up back on it and decided that it was just not the shirt for me unfortunately.
I returned this shirt for a refund and I sure wish it had worked out better.

I have several flannel lined shirts from LL Bean. Love all of them. Warm, easy to layer, fashionable. You get the idea. I purchased the dark plum (?) and was excited about this shirt because I could layer it with a variety of different colored long sleeved t-shirts and turtle necks. But I wasn't prepared for the way it fit. The shoulders were huge and the sleeves were really long. I looked like a line backer. In addition, the snaps were incredibly hard to close. I even put a little oil on them to get them to snap. Wasn't prepared for that. However, finding out that there were pockets at the hips was a plus, Don't know what I'd put in them but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

I am dreadfully disappointed in the two shirts I bought. I based my enthusiasm for getting them on the fact that I have three of the same kind that I got when you first brought them out some years ago. The new ones are great as far as the colors go, and the coziness, but the WORST new wrinkle is the snap fasteners! They are awful. I am of an age when I have a touch of arthritis in my thumbs and the pressure it takes to close the snaps is nasty. The snap on the breast pocket flap reduces the size of the pocket, making it almost useless. I suppose snaps are a cheaper option for you; no sewing of buttons or buttonholes required. The other problem for me is that the sleeves are too long. I can live with that but oh, those snaps!

I loved the fit and comfortable feel of this shirt, but the outside fabric doesn't really feel like flannel, and tends to wrinkle. The outer fabric and flannel lining don't seem to be stitched consistently, so there are puckers on the seams. I thought it would come out of the wash less wrinkly, but sadly, no. I was kind of disappointed. I'll wear it around the house, but not much in public.
