Only four stars because it does not feel like flannel, nor is the lining as fleece feeling as I expected. It is quite warm and I have reached for it often. It has great pockets on each side. The snaps are easy to work for my arthritic fingers. I wanted this so much that I ordered a size bigger than I need, but it seems to be working out. I can get more layers underneath if I need to. It has washed up nicely.

Warm, full fleece lining. Nice snaps. But cotton shell, not flannel! Why? Men's style has a flannel shell.

Love the shirt, but wish they had not made certain changes to the previous version. The shirt now has snaps instead of buttons. I preferred the buttons. The cut of the shirt is also different at the bottom. It is a little longer in the back and shorter at the sides instead of the more square cut of the previous shirt.

On these cooler days when I get up in the early morning to walk my dog this is all I need to keep warm. It's soft and toasty. The fit is loose enough to wear a long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

I live in Southern Oregon & find the fleece lined flannel shirt to be very comfortable & perfect for wearing indoors to keep the chill off or outdoors on days where it is not chilly enough for a coat. I also love the fleece lined sleeves and there is nice color selection; at least before they go on sale. I am 5' 10" & bought an XL which is a little big but perfect if you are wearing multiple layers. The large size fits me perfectly. My only problem is that fleece likes to hang down a bit from the bottom edge of the shirt after washing. I fix this by hanging the shirt to dry from the bottom edge with a hanger that has clips.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. I gave it a 4 star rating because this was the ONLY shirt available in petite size; I wanted another color (I don't understand why they don't order more knowing the holidays are coming).

The women's flannel shirt was thinner than expected.

The shirt is well constructed, comfortable and warm. I wish that the plaid matched along the side seams of the shirt (reason for 4 stars).

I bought this in a small for myself only to find it incredibly broad in the shoulders. However, even though my spouse is usually a medium or large size, it fit them perfectly and they now wear it as a regular part of their wardrobe. It's nice and squish and knowing the sizing, I ordered one in a different colour in x-small that fits me nicely. (I'm 5'5", long in the torso and quite slim)

Very nice quality shirt. Love that it has 2chest pockets as well as hand warmer pockets on each side. Would have given it 5stars if the body was abit longer, but overall I love it and will wear it often.

These fleece-lined shirts are great, especially on a cold winter's night (or even a cool one year-round). Only complaint is that I wish they had buttons rather than snap fasteners.

Not really flannel to my expectations. However it has a great lining . I purchased a petite size and the arm length is perfect. Pockets are a huge improvement. Snaps look nice , take some getting use to . My other 2 of this shirts has buttons . If material was a true flannel , I would give 5 stars. And oh overpriced

I was thinking this would be a hefty flannel shirt with a fleece lining I could wear outdoors. I would not call it flannel at all . It is a very thin cotton fabric outside and a thin fleece layer inside. I wear it as a 'sweater' indoors and outdoors if weather is in the 50s but not warm enough for the 30s. I LOVE the snaps! Sleeves are too long for me (med) but I'm used to that. I would purchase another one and if I wanted to stay warm I would wear a puffer vest over it. Then I'd be warm enough, and probably look like the Michelin man!

Definitely soft, warm and cozy but I had ordered a medium based on prior reviews and wanting to layer it. The sleeves were really way too long on me. Guess I need a petite. LOVE the snaps.

This is NOT a flannel shirt! It's a thin cotton plaid blouse with a fleece lining. I do love this shirt. It's great for throwing on for a quick trip outside or even taking off the chill while inside. It is already snagged in several places since I use it as a work jacket. It's not as warm as my husband's fleece-lined flannel shirt but still warm enough. The side pockets and snaps make it more convenient than my husband's shirt. I'm considering buying another with a hood, or maybe I'll just buy a cheaper version of the man's fleece-lined flannel...

i love this shirt because the variety of colors allow you to layer it with different colored tee shirts. It is warm and washes well. What I don't like are the snap closures. The arthritis in my hands has gotten worse since I bought it last year. I've had to use a pliers to close the snaps this year.

The shirt itself couldn't be more fitting in any way as we move into the colder season. The light fleece lining is the perfect weight to feel cozy inside as well as for brief outings. I love the side pockets as well as the the ones on the front lapel too.
There's just ONE THING that I'm having trouble with, and that is the SNAPS. They are VERY HARD for me to snap shut. I hope they loosen up a bit as time goes on because I love the shirt.

Just right for these cool Autumn mornings. Definitely not a dressy shirt. But the lining is so soft and comfortable and I love the snaps!!

Previously bought PL in Capri Blue and after a year or so, it's still as soft & beautiful (washed in cold water and either cool heat dry or hang to dry). So, this year decided to get the Black Plum in PL. The shirt arrived quickly but I am very dissatisfied with the color: what appears to be a brighter blue/plum is in fact a drab, dull dark navy like blue and more of a burgundy than plum. The fleece lining is, to me, navy blue. So it's going back for the Marine Blue (which at least has some green without being dark). The shirt is fine & well made but LLB needs to rethink this in Fall & Winter colors, say browns, Sienna, etc. I had to re-order in a Regular Large (sleeves a bit longer than petite, not a problem).

I love these lined shirts; I have bought several over the years. I love the color of this blue one. I bought the gray one too. I ordered both in the same size. I use them as jackets. However, the blue one is quite a bit smaller than the gray one. It just barely buttons while the gray one works fine over another shirt. Don't know why.

I have this shirt in the blue & ivory plaid - very lovely, lightweight flannel (yes it is flannel), nice lining, etc love the snaps & deeper pockets. Was waiting to get black plum, but I am returning it. Online the blue in the plaid looks nice &. bright, but be forewarned the key word here is "black" plum - the shirt is very dark in color (both the plum and blue), making it dowdy looking, dull and lifeless. Really - I don't want neon colors but something brighter would be nice (PS - again - the blue plaid is lovely, how about a lighter green?).

Good quality. I wear these shirts daily during harsh MN winters. I had to get a large to ensure I could layer it over other shirts. Wish the sleeves and length were cut just a bit longer. A women's tall version would be great. Why do they only have Tall for men? While I prefer the shepa lined version, the snap closures are hard to beat.

As is mentioned in several other reviews, this is not a Flannel plaid shirt, but a Cotton plaid shirt that is lined with warm fleece.
It is beautifully made and Very warm. I love the snaps and large front pockets. The plaid is beautiful.
Maybe due to the lining, this does run a little more snug from the waist down, than the 4 other flannel shirts I have from LLBean (also the 'relaxed fit').
I was a little disappointed that this was not flannel, but am glad I kept it. It has been wonderfully warm this winter!
