I am going to love this when it gets cooler. The color (purple mauve one) is really prettier than the picture. I did order one size up as I want to layer with tees and turtle necks. Love the pockets!

Nice Shirt - The older shirts like this had more fluffy lining.

Warm and cozy; it it had buttons instead of those awkward snaps I'd give it the fifth star.

The fleece lined flannel shirt fit okay but much prefer the shirt I bought years ago.

Had three of these from years ago and needed to replace. The fleece lining is a little less dense, but the shirt is warm. I do not like the snaps though. I have arthritis and they are really hard to snap shut.

I've had my fleece-lined "flannel" for a couple years now and it's decent for workwear in the barn, on a hike or around the campfire. Where I think LLBean missed is that the shirt is not the same weight flannel as the men's fleece-lined flannelit's thinner and not a cozy heavyweight. Because of this I don't understand why they're the same price as the men's when the "flannel" is much thinner. I was looking at replacing mine for a new print, but when I realized this, I'm looking elsewhere. Either upgrade the flannel to be the same as the men's shirt or knock the price down. I would buy the men's but it is too boxy. Would recommend but with some adjustments as stated.

The shirt is nice and warm but the buttons are white and not golden like the picture shows. It changes the look of the shirt entirely.

So far so good. This shirt jacket is sure nice on a cool day without being too bulky. I find it interesting that so many companies want reviews as soon as one gets it so there's no way to review how well it wears/washes or whether it is durable. Thus the 4 star rating. Initially I sure like it.

Very cozy, warm and comfortable shirt. Also a nice plaid that will go with many things. I plan to wear this all winter in the house as my top layer. Love it!

Flannel is very thin. Lining is soft and warm. Do not care for the snaps. As the shirt wears, the snaps, which are tight, could tear the fabric. The sage color is beautiful though. Too high a price for this shirt. Not made as well as the last one bought several years ago. Probably will not purchase another one

This shirt was to replace a previous one much like it, only the previous one had buttons rather than snaps, and I much prefer that. Otherwise, it's a fabulous way to stay warm. I wear mine all winter long in the house and keep the thermostat a little lower.

This is a great shirt--comfy and warm, but I prefer buttons (which my earlier versions of this shirt had). There is only one snap on the cuff, so it is impossible to tighten the cuff if the sleeve is too long (which is always true for me), and therefore impossible to keep the sleeve from sliding down over the hand. I love the shirt so much I kept it anyway. I just fold the cuff up once, but it doesn't look great. The other issue with snaps is that people can be allergic to metals and get a reaction from them against their skin. Because of this, I have to wear a t-shirt under the shirt. Obviously, this is a really great shirt for me to keep it in spite of my issues with the snaps, so my only suggestion is that you go back to buttons.

I have several of these fleece lined shirts. Didn't notice in catalog that snaps replaced buttons this year. I think I prefer open pockets. Planning to wear it to outside wedding in northern Wis so warmth my biggest concern.

This was my favorite shirt until about three years ago, when I purchased two new shirts, I am a small woman and was not able to adjust the size of the cuff. I even took them to a seamstress, she said the job was just too much to do. Every year I look to see if LLBean has put the buttons back on with no luck.

I really like this. I wear one out during the chilly months. My only issue is with the sizing. The first one I bought several years ago had perfectly sized petite sleeves. For subsequent versions, designers seem to have forgotten that Petite doesn't just mean shorter body. Sleeves need to be an inch or so shorter as well. It's annoying to have to roll up cuffs or let unrolled cuffs get wet and dirty because they're too long.

I bought this in blue and white about 6 years ago and loved it - warm, comfortable and beautiful. At one point I noticed that there was a small hole in the sleeve under the arm that looked like a moth had eaten it, but the edges were crusty & not like a moth had made it. I never figured out how the hole happened until I just read a review here from awoman had the same thing happen in the same place. Since this happened I have ordered a new one and will continue to buy them. Except for the hole, I love it

Nice fit, love the snap closures and the cozy lining. Wish the outer fabric was sturdier, ie: tighter weave and/or closer to a canvas than the current thin cotton, which is better suited to a summer shirt.

I got this for Christmas and it has been great! Warm, comfy, looks great. However, yesterday one of the snaps broke apart and now it doesn't look good as it's a snap in the middle and is very obvious.

This shirt is comfortable and warm, I use it as an over-shirt with my waffle henleys. The reason for 4 stars is the paid fabric is not flannel, it is a medium to light weight cotton, so I'm not sure how long it will last. However, the plaid fabric does looks good after two washings, no wrinkles.

I wanted to keep the shirt/jacket so bad. I love the color I ordered small which I normally use extra small but thinking it was a jacket. Maybe I could have room for other things underneath it. It was HUGE!! I returned it and ordered a different color and size extra small. It was also huge it was like I was wearing my dad's shirt. I wish they would make this in a slimmer cut something smaller than the relaxed cut so that it is more flattering, but still with room for under layers. The flannel is soft and pretty the sapphire is a gorgeous color combo and the fleece makes it super cuddly and warm for cool Central Florida nights. It could've been perfect. I am 5'4" 113lbs

I've been purchasing this item since it came out in the button up and no pockets, the warmth is key , and the color looked different in person , but I kept it because of the warmth , I work in a warehouse store and it can get pretty cold inside so this is a great staple for my winter wardrobe. Thank you LLBean

I love this shirt! It's warm, but not too warm. Fits perfect. I am 5'4", weigh 117lbs, and wear a 34D bra, and i ordered the Small in mauve. The only thing i can complain about is the flannel. In my opinion, this isn't flannel, and it's kinda thin. Not soft like flannel. Its a nice shirt, but kinda pricey, for what it is.

Very warm, casual shirt. Like the plaid color. Took a star off as it runs small, especially in the arm holes. Couldn't even wear a t shirt underneath. Sizing continually is off with many Bean items. So different that years ago when everything always fit.

I've bought shirts like this from other stores and they were never that nice or soft so I spent the extra money and bought the expensive ones here and it was so worth it. When I put it on, it felt so soft and it kept me so warm and I thought it was the perfect weight for me. I absolutely love everything about this shirt. The colors were even more amazing in person. The only problem is it seems like they don't make bigger than an extra large in the petite size. So I can wear it, but I can't snap it shut to wear as a shirt. I wish you would make 2x. It's such a bummer that you don't cater to us plus size girls who are short. If I buy a 2X in the regular size, I will have to roll up the sleeves and that's no fun. So please think about us plus sized, short girls and give us 2X and 3X. Thanks! I did buy three of the colors I bought the black plum and the bright Capri and bright sapphire. I will keep them because I love them so much and I do plan on going on a major diet to lose 30 pounds so hopefully they'll fit then. The shirts are so comfy and perfect for winter and my cold house. They also look super cute with my jeans.

The weight of the jacket. Might be heavier than you expected. Lining is great, smooth, Nice feeling of the fabric, colors are true to picture and description. Don't like snap on outside top pockets
