My Christmas gift this year. Very warm, comfortable, and roomy enough to layer with a plaid flannel or long-sleeved shirt. A little more effort required for care since it's 100% wool, but it's well worth it. The emerald coloring really pops. I wear it with my Bean Classic Kick True Shape jeans weekly, but it looks equally nice with dress pants.

I wore this piece several times over the holidays in New England, and each time a new person raved over it. I purchased in the green, it is truly lovely. Very well made and thick, not like the many fast-fashion pieces you can buy elsewhere. As with most LL Bean sweaters, it does run a tad big so I purchased a Medium where I might otherwise wear a Large. I felt the Medium fit perfectly. It is made of wool, and I found it to be a bit itchy, but with a thin shirt underneath I was perfectly comfortable. I can tell this will be a piece I keep and wear for years to come.

I love this sweater! The colors offered are lovely, and it is so warm on cold winter days. The fair isle pattern also lends a lot of interest, and the length is just right for me, covers the hip area. One thing to know is that this sweater runs large, which is why I returned the large and got a medium, which is very generously sized. I wear it with a long-sleeved tee underneath, but could easily fit a button down shirt.

Love it very warm and fits great

I haven't had a chance to wear, as the weather is warmer. When it is cold, I'm prepared. Nice fit, the wool is soft yet sturdy. Not at all scratchy. Looking forward to wearing.

Love this so much. I wear a size 4 and the petite small fit perfectly. Gorgeous deep green. Looks very smart with a light blue button down. I wore it with a red plaid short skirt during the holidays. Perfect.

Warm and comfortable. I would like to buy another, in a different color, but they are out of stock.

My husband gave this to me for Christmas in the Bean Green. He thought it would make my green eyes stand out, and it did. It is just beautiful!! Fits just right, is warm and snugly!! Just love it!!

I would order this again in the cream color but it was not available, Maybe next year. It is wool so I have to wear a shirt under it so it doesn't irritate my skin.

I ordered the medium online but I am sometimes a large. It fits nice and I'm sure I could wear a turtle neck under it. Just for the heck of it I was at a store and tried on the large and it was huge. Glad I went with the medium. Oh and it is very pretty

High quality wool sweater with generous flattering cut. Can wear it over long sleeved shirts without it feeling too tight. I have been wearing it every day since the temps have dipped below 0.

I love this sweater for many things, excellent to wear inside or out with a down vest from LLBEAN.

I was worried about the fact that it would be itchy seeing as it is wool, but I wear just a long sleeve under it and it is fine. I love the fair isle print and it's really very warm.

I do not normally ever write reviews but was so happy when this lovely sweater arrived, I decided to let the world know how great it is! This sweater is super thick and cozy and appears to be handmade, it is so lush. I ordered a medium based on reviews of how it ran slightly oversized and the fit was perfect. I would say for a more fitted flattering cut go down a size and for an oversized look stay with your true size. The yarn is thick and the style is a true fair isle design. The neck is slightly raised and more fitted than a typical crewneck but worked fine with a blouse underneath as shown in the example. What i love most about this sweater is the quality and its appearance of being a hand knit heirloom. I purchased the cream/gray color and simply love the soft neutral design. Overall a fabulous sweater!!

This sweater is a true L.L. Bean classic. The colors and construction are beautiful. I got the neutral grayish color and it will look great with lots of different tops underneath. I'm glad I called and got the garment measurements, as it does run larger (length and chest) than the mixed cable sweater. I take a petite L in that one, but the petite M was perfect in the fair isle. It is nice and heavy, so I will enjoy wearing it on really cold days. I also think it was a good value considering the quality.
