I bought this for my daughter and son in law when their expensive shower diaper bag already started falling apart. I have a peak bag already, and knew about the lifetime warranty as well as how good it has held up to travel, so I immediately went to the website to find a back that would be a great diaper bag now, and future travel bag. This hits all marks! The origami folders are great for separating diaper sizes (2 kids in diapers), wipes and even folding to protect glass bottles. The water bottle pockets are great for everyone, and there are pockets galore in the bag. Keys? you got it. Diaper changing pad? How about the laptop area. Extra clothes? Top of the bag. Etc. etc.

I bought this bag when they were being phased out with the newer version. I use it as my work travel bag and the extra compartments are very useful. The weather proofing also makes it nice that I don't have to worry about all my things getting soaked if I run into some rain.

After hunting for months to find a good backpack that could serve for travel and work, I found Peak Design. I've been using the bag for a few months now, several trips and some commutes and it has been excellent. The structure and functionality is exactly what I was looking for.

I originally backup the first version of this bag on kickstarter and have been using it for the last 6 years. It's been following me in the city as a daily backpack, in countryside trips, to groceries, event when hiking. It's super versatile, with great access to compartments and configurability. I'm super used to the top access with the latch and the fabric pocket in the laptop compartment to stash random small items. Every time I use another bag I miss it. A note on customer service: the bag is lifetime guarantee and they're not kidding. My v1 bag got a problem with one of the zippers after a few years of use. It made one of the side panel difficult to use. I accepted the issue for a while, then after a few more years I reached out to customer support and they offered a replacement. This is stellar customer service.

Innovative design and brilliant use of magnets to keep it tidy. Especially appreciate the discrete lash points for when needed and hide-away pocket to store. Only wish is could set in on my roll-on luggage vertically rather than horizontally. Minor in the scheme of things.

Lifelong warranty, incredible backpack for everyday life, cool design, lightweight the list goes on forever. I've tested dozens of backpacks in my life for digital work, traveling, photography or sports, it does everything and it's the best ever.

I bought the black 30L backpack for my girlfriend because she loved my V1 backpack so much. Peak Design is probably the only brand I constantly buy from. The quality of every item they sell (not just the backpacks) is amazing! I recommend this to EVERYONE! Not just photographers or people going on trips. This backpack is for every occasion and it'd be an injustice not to have one in your collection.

I think him and me will be best friends forever. He joins me at work, comes to holidays with me, is always my no. 1 companion on fishing trips, loves camping as much as I do, is tolerant to everyday children stuff like baby bottles and diapers, made me break up with my laptop sleeve, and kept my sunglasses scratch free since years. After all this time, I am still stunned by his features, inner values, and durability. In rough as well as easy times. I'm so in love.

I recieved this bag as a warranty replacement for my v1 which sadly had a broken unrepairable zipper. I owned the V1 for around 5 or 6 years and it was a solid bag. I am based in Australia so full credit to Peak Design, without much fuss and true to their lifetime warranty commitment I was able to get a replacement bag and it arrived within a few weeks, absolutely amazing!! I've never had to use a warranty replacement on any product before and this made me even happier with my original choice of owning a Peak Design product. I've owned the V2 Everyday backpack 20L for a little over a month. Compared to the V1 the bag seems to have a little more structure and feels more rigid and it feels like it's going to last even longer. The bag is comfortable for all day carry with my Canon mirrorless + 1 lens along with clothes, etc. Compared to the V1 the bag is ever so slightly wider and this is noticeable when I place my Peak Design tech pouch on the lower compartment, the bag comfortably zips closed whereas on the V1 it was sometimes a stretch to get the zip over. The top hood of the bag compared to the V1 also seems to be more structured whereas the V1 had a more flatter hood and I like the feeling that the V2 has with it's rigitity. Unfortunately there are two areas where the V1 was a better bag. Firstly, the pockets on the inside on the V1 were sealed which meant you could stow long cables in an elongated fashion top to bottom, the V2 only has sealable pockets on the lower portion so it's halved it's ability to store long cables in a flattened out way. Second, the laptop compartment on the V2 I feel is a little too over engineered. Whilst its nice to have the adjustable mechanism for various sized laptops, the mechanism itself by way of padded velcro inserts adds 2 layers of slight thickness that makes it unnecessary, this is noticeable when you have a thicker laptop (eg. DELL Precision) which used to easily glide through on the V1 but on the V2 still fits but feels slightly more tighter - I'm actually thinking of cutting out this adjustable laptop mechanism to save on weight and thickness. Everything else about the bag however screams quality, PD removed some of the metal hooks for the external carry straps which the V1 had and initially I was dissapointed by this, but the material loops on the V2 are definitely better - made of that same material they use on the anchor loops. The plastic hooks also seem easier to clip in and out in a hurry, the V1 was a little more fidly in this way. Overall I highly recommend this bag, the other compareable bags on the market just don't have this same beautiful style and functionality, everything is well thought of aside from perhaps the laptop compartment which I think is a bit over the top. I would gladly buy this bag again after 10+ years and perhaps by then the V3 will be out :)

Used this as my school backpack for my senior year in high school and fell in love with it. Has all the pockets for everything I need to lug around and fit a ridiculous amount of textbooks and notebooks in the main compartment (the same amount of stuff, I might add, as my old 35L backpack). The side pockets comfortably fit a 32oz hydro and stay secure for smaller objects like a computer charger. Hidden pocket is excellent for sunglasses. The latch took a couple of days of getting used to, but I love the magnets and expandability and feel cool every time I open it. Adjustable laptop pocket was a nice touch and does indeed fit a 13" laptop like a Surface. Where I think this bag really shines is its versatility: because I keep my chargers and other electronics in the side zip pockets, I empty the main compartment and use it as luggage on short trips (3ish days), and it's super convenient to only have to take a carry-on on planes. I fit a pair of dress shoes and a full suit with a hangar in the bag when I had to travel for a speech and debate tournament. Once I arrive at my destination, I empty it out and use it as a day pack and its lightness and compactness make it perfect as a "just in case" bag. It also keeps all my stuff dry in even heavy rain. The bag definitely comes with a hefty price, but I think it's well worth it for all the features in addition to the fact that it's durable enough to last a lifetime. It also feels good to know that I'm supporting a company that cares about the climate and helping other businesses do the same.

I upgraded my 20L V1 to 30L V2, after seeing it at the store and I asked one of the member what is the difference between V1 and V2. He was happy to show me every little things that is brand new. Peak Design 30L V2 was made from the ground up listening to all peak design costumer. Better room for a laptop, more magnets for security, making the backpack more comfortable for wearing it all day long!!

The Everyday Backpack is hands down the best camera backpack I've ever owned. After 20+ years of using sling shoulder bags I needed something that gave my shoulders a rest and better balanced the weight. I now own both the 20L & 30L bags and couldn't be happier.

I bought this mainly to use for my camera and Lens storage, but ended up using it for all trips instead (even without taking my camera). Great quality. I did have an issue with the zipper getting stuck, but Peak Designs wonderful customer service took care of the replacement quickly.

This backpack is not just great. It's extremely satisfying. I'm so impressed with that thought that went into this backpack. Having multiple access points to my stuff is a total game changer. The magnetic snaps in places are just perfect. The latch to open the top blows my mind. I carry my office with me wherever I go and this bag is just about perfect for it. My only complaint is that it's a very tight squeeze to fit my MacBook and iPad into their respective sleeves at the same time. A large part of this problem is the keyboard case I have for my iPad doesn't slide in as well because of its texture.

I bought this about a year ago and it has been my daily carrier as a software dev. The ajustable laptop compartment makes it easy to pop it in and out. The magnets hidden all around the backpack keep it neat and ordered all the time.

I got this bag as a graduation gift. I am a photography enthusiast. This bag (20L) has been the best bag that I carry everyday to work and even travel! I usually pack one mirrorless camera and two lenses for traveling. Also, it has a lot of pockets that I can organize my stuffs. I love this bag and I highly recommend to anyone who considers this bag as everyday and travel backpack.

After 7 years with the Everyday Messenger I have switched to the backpack and loving its versatility and practicality. This 30L version is a better size for me than the 20L and the charcoal colour is much better at hiding dust and dirt than the black one. Another quality product from PD that was worth investing in.

I had to cover the Annecy Festival this year, and I wanted to be sure about having everything that I need to be upfront: camera, notebook, tablet, cables, batteries... and this bag carried everything!!! Even my rainproof jacket. Loved it. Now waiting for the PD Flask.

I use it for photography, work and study, also when going on weekend trips and don't have to bring much. Still in excellent shape after two years, although the magnets that hold the straps in place came loose at some point.

I've had this for more than 6 months now. The zipper started malfunctioning around the 5-month mark but Peak Design sent me a replacement immediately. I like the patina on the top handle, it exudes quality. The waterproof material is a lifesaver. I often have a laptop+tablet+camera in my backpack, can't risk any water damage. The dividers are nice but since I use it as a commuter backpack I only use one of them to create a compartment for my camera + lens. The key tether and outside straps are super convenient too. I use the outer straps for a jacket which gives me more space inside the backpack. In a perfect world, this backpack would be more reasonably priced but I understand that this level quality and attention to detail demands a high price.
