I have gone through many bags for a variety of use-cases. But Peak Design has now become my immediate go-to for all things camera related. The Everyday Backpack continues to impress me with how well thought out the pockets, dividers, dual-sized laptop compartment, and even the magnetic adjustable top closure, are. They even put tiny hold at the bottom of the side pockets to allow water to escape while out in the rain. All I can say is impressive.

I recently bought this after having the V1 for years, and it's crazy. They took everything good about the V1 and made it smoother, easier, faster, and better. They took everything that was a little clunky from the V1 and totally revamped and improved it, from the laptop pouch, to the way the key leash works. This is worth every penny.

I recently purchased the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, and I am absolutely thrilled with my investment. This backpack has exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable. Design and Durability: The first thing that struck me was its sleek and minimalist design. It's not just a backpack; it's a work of art. The attention to detail is phenomenal, from the weatherproof zippers to the customizable internal dividers. The build quality is exceptional, and you can instantly feel the durability of the materials used. Functionality and Versatility: What sets this backpack apart is its versatility. Whether I'm heading to the office, going on a photography expedition, or even a weekend getaway, this backpack adapts effortlessly. The FlexFold dividers are a game-changer; they provide endless possibilities for organizing my gear, be it camera equipment, laptop, or daily essentials. Plus, the quick side access makes it incredibly convenient to grab my camera without having to take the backpack off. Comfort and Ergonomics: Despite its robust build, the backpack is surprisingly comfortable to wear, even when fully loaded. The padded shoulder straps and back panel provide excellent support, making it easy to carry for extended periods. The sternum strap and hip belt distribute the weight evenly, reducing strain on my shoulders. Security and Peace of Mind: Security is a top priority for me, and the Everyday Backpack doesn't disappoint. The zippers are lockable, offering an added layer of protection for my valuables. The thoughtful design ensures that my belongings are not only secure but also easily accessible when I need them. Conclusion: In summary, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack is a masterpiece of design and functionality. It's not just a backpack; it's a reliable companion that enhances my everyday experiences. Whether you're a photographer, a traveler, or someone who appreciates a well-designed bag, this backpack is worth every penny. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I work in a trailer yard and need to carry equipment with me all day that varies from a fragile computer to hand tools, and the excellent cushioning and flexible cubby system of this backpack suits me perfectly. I shopped for months before pulling the trigger on this one, and I don't regret it. It's not just for delicate things like cameras. It gets work done and takes a beating!

I've had mine for over a year and absolutely love the flexibility you have in the generous space inside I don't use all the dividers when I'm going into the office, but for segmenting out a full day's items for a small family into easy to reach locations, it's just awesome. Super durable. Zippers are all really high quality. The expandable latch on top is very useful for getting all the space it can offer. The really big and sturdy handles give you many different ways to hold the bag and lift it into awkward locations like an overhead compartment. Great for family day pack, a weekend tech/gear kit, or a true everyday carry of all the eseentials.

I got this for myself for my birthday for my new Nikon Z8 and 600MM lens. At first I thought it's never going to fit in the 20L until I started watching the help videos, I realized how much you can customize these bags. I haven't had the heart to put it away yet because it's so pretty!!!

It took me awhile to get used to this camera backpack. Had to configure and reconfigure the inside and become accustomed to the size and weight. Once I did it has become easy to carry, convenient to use and, as always with a PD product, well designed and built.

I'm an on-location portrait photographer and I'm always moving on my photoshoots. I bought my first Everyday Backpack 8 years ago. There are many camera bags on the market, but for me I love that my Everyday Backpack is so lightweight and my favorite feature is the side entry where I can access all of my cameras at once. It has the most space of any bag I've tried since I carry two cameras with lenses attached at all times. I also love the top pocket for my keys & phone etc.

I Bought this bag for my partner 2 years ago but it looks like I bought it last week. No tears, scratches, fading, or malfunctions. He takes it everywhere and literally gets everyday use out of it. All while being an ethical choice. Go PD team!

I already own two bigger Peak Design bags and am a huge fan of the brand's aesthetic, its attention to detail, and its overall ethos. The Everyday Backpack is a great addition to my collection, giving me a more compact and mobile option for when I want to carry smaller loads (e.g. just a laptop and wallet). I use the bag mainly for commuting and it suits that purpose well, looking good with pretty much any outfit, and providing easy access to things like wallet, phone, keys and sunglasses. I love the subtle use of magnets throughout the bag. Sometimes this can make a product feel flimsy, but in this case it makes it feels more solid, in addition to generally being more user-friendly (the magnets help things open and close more easily, for example). Peak Design stuff is awesome and I recommend it to anyone!

Actually, the tittle of the review could have very well been shortened to "The best backpack I have used". For many year I had been trying different photography backpacks. I wanted one easily accessible, comfortable, tripod compatible, with laptop compartment and versatile. Until I found this one, I had never tried one which ticked all the boxes. And I can tell you I tried (and owned) quite a few. This one ticks them all, but it ticks the comfort and versatility boxes so hard, that it has become my one and only, literally, everyday backpack. I use it for photography, for work, for commuting, for travelling... it is great for everything. I would say it is one of the best products in the range.

It's called an everyday backpack and I LITERALLY use it every single day. I teach piano and play gigs - the bag suits my needs for both jobs carrying all my gear. When I travel I use the shelves to carry my Nikon camera and Nintendo Switch for the plane.

I purchased my V1 Everyday Backpack several years ago, and it was flawless. But a sitch came undone in the zipper and in one of the outside pockets. I contacted Peak Design about how best to fix it, and they reminded me of my LIFETIME WARRANTY. Next thing I know, they're replacing my bag with a V2 in an even better color?! Who does that!!?? Best backpack I've ever owned, without question. I love this thing.

The Peak Design Everyday Backpack has been my daily carry now for 5 years and I love it! It really is my everyday backpack and goes with me to work, out hiking, when I walk down the road to buy groceries, as my carry-on on planes when I'm travelling - truly versatile. Typically I'll pack at least one (and often two) of my OM-System cameras and several lenses, and the internal dividers mean I can customize how much camera gear and how much other stuff I need each day. The weatherproofing is excellent (have had it out in torrential downpours and everything has been dry inside. Plenty of space for my Dell XPS 15 laptop, an iPad mini, plus documents. But the best things about this backpack for dedicated photographers are the side zipped pockets, meaning I can be out walking a crowded city or a remote mountain and access either of my two main cameras by just swinging the backpack around and unzipping the appropriate side pocket - brilliant stuff! On photo trips away I've really maxed out the amount of camera gear I've packed and that 20 liter capacity still manages - amazing!

I bought this six months ago and have now used it on twelve shoots and during three major trips. I've also used all the main competitors and landed on the 30L version of the everyday pack without any hesitation. I prefer the side entry style to begin with. It is versatile and fast when you need to get to your equipment. As a primary camera bag it is perfect. The zippers are all top notch and the materials are rugged. There are a couple of things I would change if I could. 1. It would be great for hiking situations (common for us landscape people), if this pack had an ability to carry a hydration reservoir. This could be done by waterproofing the laptop area. 2. At this price point, I'd like to see it include a hip belt. This piece is the core of my gear now and I won't be changing that.

I've been looking for a few years for a full-featured backpack for travel. While I don't carry cameras, I want to have room for electronics, books, jacket, drinks, etc, This backpack checks the box on all accounts, The quality, functionality and ease of access make travel much easier. And I also added the phone case and slim wallet and love that combination just as much.

After seeing the big tech YouTubers buying this backpack I wanted to give it a try too. Now that my old backpack was broken I had to buy a new one and bought the Peak Design Everyday Backpack. Personally I don't use it for tech gear, it's just my backpack for everyday carry and I know that I will never be able to buy a different backpack than this.

I loved my 30L (my go-to travel bag) so much I decided to get the 20L as a work bag. The 20L fits a 16" MBP very well. For me the construction and material quality and value for the money puts Peak Design above big brands like Tumi and Briggs & Riley.

Coming from an v1 that has seen Germany, Italy, Japan, China, among others, twice as many domestic destinations, and countless uses for work and conferences - I can say PD makes ridiculously good bags and am proud to say they have a forever customer in me. So happy to know there are still companies that pride themselves in great product development, stand by them, and a non-subscriber to throwaway consumerism ideals (ie. Items designed only to last a small number of years). In terms of climate, it has survived China summers (35*C) and the Alaskan North Pole winters (-30*C). Talk about die hard. In the span of 6 years, this bag has held up remarkably well - given commonsense care. However, as an IT professional in the Bay Area my work and personal MacBook Pro 15"-16" laptops could barely fit - which is remedied in the v2. If this bag were 25L expanded, it would be perfect because I hate having to decide which two important items to not bring. Having now used the v2, I think it's better in most ways - such as the more accommodating laptop compartment for 16" and the mag latch flap slope being less steep allowing for a tiny bit more carrying capacity. However, the top pocket next to the laptop compartment is less useful as ever. With a laptop, that pocket can no longer fit my keys, car fob, wallet, iPhondde, and AirPods - or much of anything without a struggle.
