Great for multi terrain

Comfort & performance - two key points. I love the natural toe box that really matches my feet. Bought an 11.5 but will try an 11.0 for the next pair. I really like everything about this shoe and Altra has quickly become my go-to brand. Keep up the good work!

Only about 20 miles in so far, but loving these! Very comfortable.

Comfort level unmatched by any other previous sports/active shoe I have. No break in period from first wear. Hoping they will last at least one season. If so, I will continue to purchase again. Very satisfied with the quality and comfort Altra claimed to be.

I'm not a size 10 in anything besides these (normally 10.5-11). Love the shoe though. Immediately did a grueling Hawaiian hike without issue. Lots of grip. Consider myself a fan.

I've been buying the Lone Peak line since the 2.5. I've bought multiple pairs since then. There's no other shoe quite like it. It's perfect for all of life. If you dig the food shaped shoe, this is it.

The only thing I would change in the new version is putting the heel pull loop back like it was in the previous version. The current heel loop is essentially not functional.

Without a doubt, the best shoe I've had in quite some time. I've had Brooks, Salomon, OnCloud, and these are without a doubt the most comfortable. Extremely happy!

These are my go to shoes for hiking trails. Comfortable right out of the box with no break in needed. I'm always skeptical of the new version, my favorites were 3.0, but the 6.0 is on the money.

I've been a big fan of Altra's lone peak 5, having bought several pairs. I really like the new styling - especially losing the "ring" at the toe box and the way they re-routed the laces there. Now when you tighten the shoe, it doesn't bunch up and gather, making the toe box look awful. Comfortable as always, it will definitely handle my trail runs as well as the treadmill. Looks great and dries quickly after a wet run. When people ask, I tell them this shoe has the comfort of a Birkenstock and the support of a great running shoe.

40 miles of trail running per week. They are wearing well & holding together. They grip well & give good foundational support & protection.

Great fit. I have a tough time finding comfortable walking shoes due to my width, and these are perfect.

I initially purchased a regular size Lone Peak even though I have wide feet, thinking that because of the traditional Altra shape and toe box I might not need a wide shoe. It turns out that I did need both the wide size and the toe box shape. I returned the regular width and ordered the wide size and am super grateful for them as it has been very difficult to find shoes from the traditional shoe companies that don't squeeze my toes.

I bought these because of the wider toe box and they are exactly what i wanted. Very comfortable on my foot and are great for walking. The shoe laces come undone a little often but nothing a double knot can't fix. I would definitely buy these again.

I know from the moment I tried these shoes that it was going to be perfect match! If these shoes fit correctly it feels like nothing is there, and that's a good thing! It truly feels natural to move in these shoes. If you're someone who enjoys being barefoot and looking for a little protection and cushion from the trails and pavement then stop thinking about it and just get a pair. Best case you'll love them and worst case you'll be upset you waited so long!
