My seven-year-old is extremely sensitive and picky with what she wears and has not complained about these boots at all. She wore them on cold days during a winter trip to DC and NYC. She even used them to climb to the Statue of Liberty's crown. They kept her warm and dry and she did not complain about them being heavy or painful.

very pretty and well-made, though it should be noted that the Forest Fern is actually quite green. On my computer it looks like the boots are grey with a pale yellow-green. The 'pale yellow-green' in person is actually a quite vibrant, almost neon green! Nice boots though. Definitely recommend them. (Funnily, I took a photo to upload and it looks light in my photo as well. They must be hard to photograph)

My son loves them, wore them the whole week before our camping trip, then throughout the trip. No complaints about the fit,or comfort while walking through the Adirondacks. He also likes the blue, his favorite color. Thanks for the quick shipment also.

The hiking boots purchased for our granddaughter were excellent. The sales person was very helpful and knowledgeable. We know the quality of products and service at LL Bean will always be the best it can be.

I really love these hiking boots. As a result of surgery, my feet are much shorter than they were. These fit perfectly, and are truly waterproof! I love these hiking boots. There is only 1 drawback, and it is minor: the tongue would be more comfortable if it were wider.

These boots are sturdy and it seems like they'll last a good time. Feet feel protected, supported, and comfortable.

We spend most of our time on the trails, and these boots have done my 7 yo daughter well. She loves the pink/purple color, I love that her feet are supported and protected on so much rough terrain. Nothing worse than a kid's sore feet when you're miles from the car! Plastic hooks I'm hoping will last, very long shoe laces, but we're very happy with them regardless.

Both children got a pair of these boots and have loved them through (some very wet) camping trips and backyard adventures. They say that the boots fit like sneakers (comfortable, fairly lightweight, easy to move around in). Thanks for having a great option for kids that follow their mom around at camp and on hikes.

No complaints by the kids after walking, running, and playing around in their new boots for a few weeks. These are put together well but flexible enough to have little "break in" time.

We got these for our granddaughter for hiking. She loves them. The fit is true to her sneaker size. She claims they are comfortable and even puts them on the play in the yard. Very pleased with these boots.

These boots survived many national park hikes for 4 months, and one month of rain almost every day. Comfortable right out of the box and durable enough to be handed down to little siblings. Our kids love to wear them and I will buy them again.

Bought these for my son last summer and he's been on a variety of hikes in them, both day hikes and back country overnight treks in the mountains. He's been out in them in dry weather and also slogged through muddy trails in the rain, and aside from being a little dusty, they look just like new. We'll be buying him another pair as he's grown out of them. He hasn't had a single complaint about them this entire year except that recently they're a bit snug and it's time for a larger pair.

Bought these for my very active 7 year old who after many hiking excursions begged for "boots like yours, mom". Expensive for a young age but I bought 1/2 size up so they'd fit for awhile. She wore them out of the box on an hour-long medium intensity hike uphill, no complaints, and for a few hours around a local farm the next day. She said they felt "great". Quality seems par with most bean products I've purchased, meaning to say above average. I also feel more comfortable having sturdy boots with better traction than sneakers for an adventurous kid who's not afraid to run and jump on trails and scale rocky areas. She's happy with them and I'm satisfied with the quality, so I'd rate them worth the expense.

I ordered the Marine Blue for my daughter based on the title rather than the picture and I received the Dove Gray boots. The item numbers need to be corrected online. I would recommend ordering these by telephone to make sure you get the right color. That aside, my daughter loved the green streak on the soles so didn't want to return them. I order 1/2 size large so they'd last a little longer. They fit true to size and handled a 3-mile hike in the mud, rain and puddles without any problems. The water just beaded and ran right off.

It is a very good boot. It is very comfortable and I walked a 4 miles through this New England slush and ice, the first day I put them on. These are for me and I foresee using these boots for many years. Great construction: sturdy and lightweight.

Being an adult with tiny feet, I need to shop in the kids section. These hikers are great! They look adult and fit perfect! I would recommend going up a size from your normal shoe size, as they do run a little on the small side, especially if you plan on doubling up your socks. Very warm and comfortable! Can't wait until my daughters feet are big enough to get her a pair!

Our children (ages 4 and 7) wore these all over Australia for months. Even on hot days in the city they preferred them to their sneakers because they are so comfortable.

My son loves these boots. They do run a little small we had to send them back and get a bigger size. Can't wait to have him try them out in snow.

I bought these boots for my 9 year old for hiking with her scout group and they are so comfortable and light for her to wear! I thought that she would have to break them in and so she wore them around the house for a few hours before her first hike, but there were no complaints at all about them! I expected at least a 'these are stiff' or 'they're rubbing a bit' but nothing! Would have no problem recommending them - in fact my friend has already ordered some for her son!!

LL Bean shoes always fit my son's feet the best. He has a high arch and it is very difficult to find shoes that he can wear comfortably. These hiking books fit just as good as the sneakers and they look great!
