My older kid had one of these backpacks and we really liked it, so I purchased this one for my first grader and she's very happy with it. The backpack is very well made - I expect it to last her at least a few years.

My pre k child needed a standard size back pack for school and I knew exactly the brand I was going to get her. LL bean has always been such a reliable, affordable and durable brand. The LL bean back pack last for years!

Bought this for my granddaughter. She picked this backpack. It is big enough for her lunchbox and all her daily school supplies.

This is our second time buying these same 2 backpacks. The first was two years ago. My boys are into everything police, SWAT, soldiers, etc. So they loved the blue camp print. The backpacks held up great- no rips or fraying. The reflective line across the back pocket did get its share of scratches, but are still there two years later. This year I again gave them the option of which LL Bean print. They stuck with the blue camo and honestly wouldn't have asked for a new backpack had I not said, "it's been 2 years, let's do a new one!" The old backpacks are now back ups and weekend/camp bags.

The quality and construction of the backpack with its many compartments is excellent. My granddaughter loves it.

Love the quality of this backpack. It's also the perfect size for smaller second grade daughter. Colored dots are adorable color.

Great pack for kids. Good size but not too big to carry

Perfect size for my 6 and 4 year old. Quality is fantastic. We have purchased several book bags over the years and have nothing but good things to say about them.

It is built to last many years although this is a smaller bag. The kids do really need the deluxe because they have small lap tops instead of text books. This was a gift for my niece and she picked the color she loved.

Perfect for my kindergarteners. The prints are fun, the backpacks are sturdy, and the size is perfect for younger stundents.

My granddaughter love it! She got caught in the rain and her papers were dry inside!

The backpack is high quality and looks great. I ordered it as a gift for my nephew, I saw it in person and was pleased. He's used it for a few weeks now and has no complaints.

Great back pack and great size for my 4th grader. quality is great. The only thing that might improve it is a water bottle holder on both sides of the pack

My 7 year old grandson can't WAIT to pick out his new backpack from llbean!! This year he was excited by the sharks design. He is very happy with it, and I'm happy that it lasts and looks great and fits everything he needs (and more). Years of LLBean backpacks have proven to endure all the abuse very active kids can't help but subject them to! Thank you LLBean!!!
