My two kids have had these backpacks for over 3 years now and they've survived daily trips to daycare and school, where they get dragged around on the ground. They've held up beautifully. My only complaint is that I wish they had water bottle pockets on both sides.

This backpack is perfect for my entering 2nd grader and the material is excellent quality!!

Solid construction, cheerful dinosaur print, and (very critical) a side bottle pocket that's made of sturdy elastic and actual backpack cloth (NOT mesh, which is fragile, gets caught on everything, rips, and stretches out, causing water bottles to fall out). Had this exact backpack in the junior size. Moving up to the larger size to accommodate the greater volume needed by my 3rd grader. Wish all LL Bean backpacks sported similar non-mesh side bottle pockets.

I'm extremely happy with my new book bag/backpack. I'll be using it when traveling instead of having carry on luggage. Every thing I need will fit nicely & easy to "wear".

This is the second round for a child's back pack. My granddaughters first one was for pre-k and what a beating it took through 2 yrs of summer camp then kindergarten and now while still hanging in there it is time to freshen up with a new one. Highly recommend. Her brother still has his first one from pre-order filled with Lego pieces and he is 17 now. mgc

Our favorite backpack brand year after year. We have loved every backpack we have purchased for our three boys over the past ten years (and counting). While the need for spot cleaning can be a total time suck, the fact that dirt or liquid stains are the only sign of wear is pretty good. The kids' style preferences change usually before these need to be changed.

We love LL Bean backpacks. My son received a more expensive backpack from another popular brand in August and it was ripped by November. This is his replacement and we love it!

I bought this for my granddaughter even though she didn't need one. After I gave it to her she ditched her other one. This is light weight and completely reinforced. It has a pocket that won't rip out like many netted pockets. The colors make these unique and easy to identify.
