This backpack is perfect for my walks- it's lightweight, comfortable straps, has a large reflective stripe stripe for safety, has nice easy to pull zippers, and is overall made well.

Still a classic choice for school (I had one 30+ years ago). Lots of room to stuff lunch, coats and homework. My second grader loves the smaller pockets for pencil storage. Seems sturdy and well made, as expected from L.L. Bean.

The backpack was for my grasndson. He loves it. It fits perfectly and hold his required books, pencils, etc.

It's a nice backpack to use as a personal item on plane rides.

Just right. Graduated to the bigger size as my son entered first grade. Loved the smaller one and love this too.

These backpacks seem to live up to the hype! Our six year old has already spilled his bottle of water in it on a stack of paper and artwork, and it cleaned and dried up just like new. He is not the least gentle and ruined his prior backpack within a few months of school starting. This one seems much sturdier and for the price, I am sure we will certainly get good use out of it!

Nice backpack - and love the monogramming feature! The straps are a little stiff at first but hopefully they soften over time. Classic design and the water bottle pouch is a great size!

My Kindergartner was so excited to have a big kid backpack with his initials embroidered. He was eager to show it off to his teacher when he met her. He couldn't be more proud entering school with his customized bag.

My almost 5 year old son picked the red color , bad and monogram . , he just squeaked when it arrived , he just loves it fits his things , it will last a good long time

This smaller backpack is perfect for elementary age children and their school supplies. We use this bag for our lil guy in Kindergarten.

My son loves this backpack! And *I* love it because it holds anything and everything he could possible need for school, and it's super easy to clean.

So far, this backpack is working out great! Seems very durable with lots of great pockets. The monogram also turned out very nice!

We have one for all our kids. We have loved them as diaper bags, overnight bags, and school bags. They are tough and durable. I still have my own from aroumd 2007 and it looks great still. They wash well and stand up to anything. Always a favorite! Will continue to return to LL Bean because the quality is unmatched!

Best Backpack for school ever !!! I bought these for my sons for school when they were starting high school and now they are 33,31&27 and they still use them . Now I'm buying them for my grandchildren!!

My grandson really liked his backpack and proudly took it to school on the first day of Third Grade. It is well constructed, has adequate space, and a nice number of compartments I'm certain it will get him through elementary school

I only buy my son LL Bean book bags and he loves them because he has such good choices! I love them because of the price and such great quality!!

Love this book pack! Ordered these for our boys because they last. Boys are hard on everything and have never has a problem with zippers. Great price for something that will last for years.

This was a nice, spacious backpack for the price! It seems to be constructed well and has ample storage space for books, supplies, pens, etc.
