This is the best backpack on the market. As a former teacher, I have dealt with every brand backpack on the market. I've sent many popular brand name backpacks home in trash bags with busted zippers and holes in the fabric. The L.L.Bean backpack is the highest quality backpack on the market and we will always buy these backpacks!

The first day my daughter brought this to school it had cherry juice spilled on it. I threw it in the washing machine and it came out good as new! 10/10 recommend.

I bought this backpack for my son for Kindergarten, but after he finished kindergarten, it was still in perfect condition, so he used it for first grade, too. After two years, it still looks, feels, and acts brand new. Nothing is faded or broken. I'm getting him a different llbean backpack for this next school year because he has to carry a laptop, but otherwise, I'd have used this bag for a third year. I highly recommend these backpacks. They are of amazing quality.

This is our second purchase of this backpack / the first was for our older son who is still using his 4 years later. These backpacks seem very well made, are a good size to grow into, and have plenty of pockets and compartments. They also wash up well if they get messy.

I will be shopping here again I'm looking into some lunch boxes

I had one when I was in high school and it was in great shape 20 years later, so I purchased this for my daughter. She is really rough on her backpacks and went through two different branded ones already. This one is the same awesome backpack I remember. Although it's only been a few weeks it still looks brand new. Highly recommend.

Our second bag, this time for our son! It's the perfect size for kids K-2 and the monogram is such a sweet touch. My daughter's used it for two years and it's still in excellent shape. The water resistant - time-tested - material is good for kids who walk to school.

I swear this matches my 28L-30L daypacks from other brands in terms of volume. Based on a number of YouTube videos where testers double-checked the rated volumes of well-know daypacks, it could be Bean is just being honest, unlike the others that regularly fall 30% shy of their published volume. I haven't seen a test of Bean school packs, but it holds as much as my bougie brand 30L day pack from another company. Gradually I've been switching over from the fancy brands to these simple school packs for me and my family's air travel adventures. We face strict 7kg limits for combined overhead and personal item weights, so every ounce counts, and we know we aren't giving up durability when we go with LLBean.

I just came back to order another one of these bags. I had this exact bag for over thirty years and just now had to finally throw it out because the seams gave out. I used that bag all through elementary, middle, and high school. It w became the family go-to bag now that I have kids of my own. We took it on countless hikes all over the country. It was still used several days every week for one reason or another. It is incredibly durable. I won't ever own any other brand.

After pre-school and kindergarten cheap character backpack's we wanted something that didn't fall apart after a couple months. This LL Bean backpack has been the best school purchase we have ever made. It's been used for 2 school years without even a scratch on it. It even gets taken on all our family trips. I would recommend an LL Bean backpack over any other school backpack out there. He will use it as long as we can and will get the bigger option once he grows out of it.

This is a sturdy, attractive book bag that is very well made. I have bought one for each grandchild when they started kindergarten. The older child is still using it three years later and it is in wonderful condition. The only negative was that the second one was back ordered for 2 months
