This bag is perfect for my 2nd grader!!! It has just enough space and should last him through elementary school!!!

I bought this backpack for my sin who is starting Kindergarten and it's perfect. We also have an older version of this bag that my older son has been using for 4 years and is still in excellent condition. These are the only backpacks I will ever buy and I'm so glad the quality hasn't changed since I used these as a kid.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it. It's beautiful and well made. Our grandson had one similar to this and used it all through high school. Can't go wrong with this one.

My daughter began kindergarten with LL Bean original book pack which lasted her thru the end of 4th grade. We only upgraded to this backpack because she needed something larger. She says it's really comfortable and so far fits all the books and supplies she needs as well as her lunchbox and water bottle.

This bag does a great job of fitting the required, gigantic binder for my sixth grader. It appears to be of sturdy quality. Time will tell how it holds up!

I have always loved te llbean backpacks i ordered 2 for my grandsons an had them monogrammed. They came out great!

My 7yr old daughter picked this out and she LOVES it! She is about 47'' and 49# so it does look a little large for her, but she will of course grow into it. There are plenty of pockets/zippers/compartments for all of her things. Would definitely buy this again!

I got this backpack for my daughter when she was about to start Kindergarten. We are now starting 5th grade and she is still using this backpack. It has lasted all these years and my daughter is not gentle on her things. I would highly recommend this backpack!

I grew up using these backpacks through high school and college, despite the heavy load of books they held up. I have now purchased this one for my new middle schooler and she too loves the sturdiness and size, easily able to hold binders, books and her lunch bag. Comfy to carry, expandable, great pattern options - love it.

Took 25 years for me to get this backpack! I am from Maine and lived pretty close to llbean, matter of fact I lived so close we'd go at 2 am. I bought several of these exact backpacks for children to lug things to school, I couldn't afford one for me 25 years ago though! I finally had to have a carry on bag to fly with and when I read that people use the large llbean backpack for that exact purpose I was so very excited, finally a reason to buy one for ME. So I ordered it and yep had it monogrammed with MY name! Now I live across the country and I waited got an email it was delivered, ran 2 towns away NO backpack, emailed hadn't left Maine! few more days another email went to the post office, there it was in all of its glory (might have actually been glowing) I've used it love the little pencil pocket to put my necklace in, didn't tangle or get lost! Two full outfits barely made a dent, excited to put 10 days worth of clothes in it to travel with! Amazing investment and the 25 year wait was well worth it!!

My granddaughter loves it. I have been buying L.L.Bean book bags for about 5 years now. I will keep buying them as my granddaughter keeps growing.

Gave to student as a gift... do not know how it will hold up...

This is the second backpack I purchased for my daughter from LL Bean. The first one lasted over 4 years and is still in good condition. I purchased the 1st backpack when she was 7 years old so now as an 11 yr old she would prefer a different color and pattern. These backpacks are extremely durable!

The quality is excellent. My 10 year old granddaughter loved it and commented on all the extra pockets and places to put stuff for school.

Who knew the amount of stuff a second grader needs to carry ! Started out buying the Junior backpack and without hesitation realized it was too small. Returned it for the Deluxe and that's a wrap!!

I purchased this for my 7th grader and she loves it. Super cute, love the nice variety of prints to choose from, and I'm hopeful it will last a long time. Love all the pockets and how spacious it is. I still have my LLBean backpack from 20 years ago when I was in college!

I bought the next size up of this style back pack a few years ago for my daughter, it held up very well. She would've continued to use it except her locker is much smaller than it's been in the past few years. So I bought this one, which still has plenty of space, but fits in her locker! I expect it to last as long as her other one, it is so great!

My son was running through backpacks like mad! A couple or three weeks and a zipper would break, a hole would manifest. Until I decided to take LLBean up on their offer of a backpack lasting from 'grade school to grad school'. I purchased one for my son. It has survived THREE YEARS of being dragged across the carpeted middle school hallways of his school. He's now in high school and it maintains integrity (although he no longer drags it, thank goodness). The fabric is holding up, zippers all work; it's roomy enough for books, sports stuff and a laptop. Since purchasing his, I've bought for other family and friends. I recommend these bags one hundred percent.

This backpack is durable and withstands the active lifestyle of a child. The design is well thought out with room for organizing all the school supplies. It also can double as an overnight bag or storage for anything else. A great value and versatile piece. I would recommend this backpack without reservation.
