It's a great size, really well made, lots of space to store things, including the Chromebook. We love it! It's going to last her for a long time.

These backpacks are some of the best! I've been out of high school for almost 20 years and mine is still in the best shape. My daughter is supper rough on backpacks so we decided to order one for her as well! Colors are so pretty in person too!

My grandmother bought me this backpack before 11th grade. That was 16 years ago. I used it through high school, college, sleepovers, you name it... now using it for grad school. It holds up through everything and I love it. I'm only sad they didn't come with water bottle pockets back in the day. :,( I've had water spill in backpacks over the years and I carry 1-4 bottles of water daily. Otherwise, this backpack is built for a lifetime.

I've bought backpacks and totes from L.L.Bean in the past and love them. My daughter had her first one for 4 years and she loves to read so her backpack was always full. None of the straps broke and it didn't wear out like the most cheaper brands. If you have a child who is ruff with their belongings, these are the backpacks to get.

We have bought a new back pack for about 4 or 5 years.

The backpack is large and has enough room to carry all of my granddaughters books, binders, and folders. She is in the 4th grade and changes classes. This is only the 3rd week of school; however, the backpack appears to be well made and is holding up very well.

The quality seems to be very good (haven't had a chance to use it yet). The embroidery came out beautifully. We ordered the gray chevron pattern with his initials in gold. I wish I ordered the extra large though. I don't think this will make it through high school with all the bulky textbooks and notepads. The large is comparable to the full size character (eg. Lightning McQueen) backpacks you see at the big box stores for elementary kids.

I've had this backpack for 20 years. The photographs were taken in 2000, my 9th grade year of high school. I used it through all years of high school, took it to Africa for a month, used it through 4 years of college, and 10 years of teaching. If you're looking for a durable, long-lasting backpack, I definitely recommend L.L.Bean!

We have bought LL Bean backpacks for all of our children and grandchildren for years and this one does not disappoint. Our granddaughter was thrilled to get this one for her first year in school. Beautiful and she just loved it.

Great backpack for school kids. Lasts for years

LL Bean backpacks are the best and knew I needed to invest in one for my growing boy. He was quickly out growing his backpack from K-1st grade from a different company so I looked at what options were available. We found the camo print and had initials monogrammed and he is obsessed! The size is great, he's almost 7 and it's not too big now but plenty of room to use for years to come!

My pack from at least 10 years ago was still going strong, but was a little dingy & reflective tape had frayed (there were no structural problems & all the zippers and other closures still worked great). So, I got this new one & love it. Thank you, LLBean!

This backpack is excellent! Useful compartments, very sturdy, easy to use zippers and water bottle pouches. My only addition to it would be -- I wish the back was as padded as the larger size. It is padded, but not as much.

My granddaughter's teacher told her mother that she needed a larger Backpack to keep her books and papers organized. This one is the perfect size and my granddaughter loves it. Hopefully it will last her through high school.

We've never had any issues with our daughter's LL Bean backpacks. In fact, we get to donate each one as she grows taller & has to get bigger sizes. Thank you, LL Bean.

Please give us several more choices when you release the bookbags in the summer! I would love to Brilliant Navy Garden return. I'd love to see a blue floral with butterflies and flowers, more floral designs in several choices, navy star path, plaids, blue bird and floral return, tie dye choices to return, and all off the previous choices you offered. I'd love to see the water bottle holders be like the ones the smaller version book bag. I'd love to see a belt garage that we had on the super deluxe bookpacks back in the 2000's. And the reflexive tape pills easy, I wish you'd go back to using the original reflexive tape that the smaller kids still have.

I bought the backpack for a family member for Christmas. I loved the whimsical pattern and the color. The backpack was very well made, like all LLBean products are and I knew that the three roomy pockets and bottle holders on each side would be a big hit with her. She was very excited to receive it.
