All of my backpacks I keep 5 or more years.

This backpack has so much room and so many compartments. It's perfect for my middle schooler kids!

I purchased this for my (adult) self, for traveling. Plenty of room and a lot of smaller zippers and pockets everywhere! Even a pocket for a tablet. Comfortable to wear. Durable construction and materials.

I have purchased this backpack in the past. I get them for my grandchildren when they reach school age. They use them for school and overnight stay overs. Made sturdy , zippers hold up. Overall a great bag, yes I will be back for more as I have 2 year old twin granddaughters!

I love the quality of this back back. It has a lot of pockets and two nice large compartments.

Great backpack; this is just one of several I've bought over the years. They hold up to school abuse, and everyday usage. Definitely sized for older teens and adults.

I got this backpack in the summer of 2014. Since my freshman year of high school, I've taken this backpack anywhere and everywhere! School, vacations, work, you name it, I have it. It's definitely seen some wear and tear over the years, but besides the scuffing and some stains it's almost like new. I'm going into my senior year of college now, and I can't imagine getting another backpack. If you're on the fence, get this backpack and it'll last you ten years (or more!). And make no mistake, I'm not kind to this bag! It's been dragged, beaten, and thrown around, and this bag has sustained it all and show no signs of needing to be replaced. GET THIS BACKPACK!!!!!

We bought my daughter(Now 10 almost 11) a Deluxe 3 years ago and she was always rough as everything on them and we had to purchase a brand new one (you know the cheap ones with characters) bought this one and it has stayed in great shape for this whole time! She has had to carry a full load the last 2 years and it has not worn it down so far. Great back pack and we will return for any future back pack needs! Also full disclosure we bought one without a mesh water bottle holder.

The backpack is perfect for my 12 year old daughter. Plenty of room for all of her binders and supplies. Material is of good quality. Really like the pockets to keep everything organized.

This bag is just how I remember it being 30 years ago. Just upgraded my son to this larger bag. He is only in first grade, but since he is doing some remote days and some in school, he has so much stuff to bring back and forth. It is a little large on him, but he will definately grow into it. He loved the print. I also bought him the black expandable lunch box. Fits great inside this bag. Hope it lasts as long as my old one did! Thanks LLB!

This is the 4th one I have purchased...the first two were for my daughters when they were in preschool & first grade. The third one was for me. They were used all throughout their school years into college as well as traveling the world with us! Mine lasted 30 years being constantly used as well. I finally just bought another one of the same deluxe styles in a fun print! Love it!

My daughter started the school year off with a book bag she picked out at Target. While the Frozen pictures caught her eye the quality of the bag left a lot to be desired. It didn't even last until the 100th day of school! So the hunt began for another one! I remembered back to my favorite book bag as a kid my L.L. Bean hunter green bag with my initials on the front! When my daughters bag came in it was so exciting to watch how excited she was to open it up and check out ALL the cool pockets! Way to go L.L. Bean for continuing to produce quality life long memories.

My grandaughter loves this backpack. She is only in 3rd grade but has gone through many backpacks. Its prettier than i thought it would be too. I think this one will last her a while.

My fourth grade granddaughter was so excited to get a new, big backpack. She loves it.

I have used all LL Bean's Backpacks for years and they are so durable and comfortable and truly last! The only thing I wished they had was a water bottle holder, as I travel with them as my carry on all over the world. I have forgotten my water bottles inside a number of times in haste and have to be called out, searched and asked to throw them away. But now...this new Deluxe finally added the water bottle mesh holders on the outside, this is Exactly what I've been waiting for!!! Thank you LL Bean! You Rock!!!

I love LL Bean backpacks! They are sturdy and definitely worth the $$. My mom bought LL Bean backpacks for me and my siblings and I have bought LL Bean for my children! The tradition will go on!!

I purchased this not for a child, but for use as a diaper bag after I had my second baby less than a year and a half after my first. I wanted to switch from a tote-style diaper bag to a backpack-style, and while the market is filled with backpack-style diaper bags, they tend to be quite expensive and don't actually offer more functionality than that of a regular backpack not marketed as a diaper bag. I managed to get a bright and cheery floral print which is no longer available, but there are still plenty of fun prints and solid colors for those who want something that won't stand out as much. I've been using this for 18 months now, and it have proven far more valuable than the amount I paid for it. All the pockets and compartments which come in handy for school are also great for carrying diapers, wipes, changing pads, bottles, toddler snacks, toys, as well as my own essentials. I can just as easily separate out dirty diapers and wet clothes in this as I would be able to in a specialized diaper bag. It's really comfortable to wear and can carry a LOT. As someone who grew up close to the L.L.Bean flagship store in Freeport and was never without an L.L.Bean backpack from kindergarten through college, I will say that the quality may be just slightly lower than it was decades ago. At the very least everything just seems sort of stiffer, and I'm not sure the zippers are as high quality as they used to be. Still, the materials are of very decent quality, better than many other options in the same price range, and the organization is wonderful. L.L.Bean offers a lot more backpack options for kids these days and I look forward to buying my kids their own L.L. Bean backpacks when they are old enough.

I've bought several of these over the years and we are never disappointed. The quality is excellent and the bags last for years. We only buy new ones because the kids want a new bag every couple of years for school. I hate that our kids have to carry clear bags in middle and high school because these are so durable. Alas, I use the bags for myself once the kids move on!

I purchased this bag as a tennis bag! There are plenty of pockets for everything including my racket, extra balls, towel, etc. I love the side pockets for my water bottle and sunglasses and the organizer pockets in the front section hold small items so they don't get lost in the bottom of the bag. At first I ordered a different color pattern but didn't care for it and exchanged it for the Periwinkle/Sky color pattern. LL Bean is SO good about customer service I couldn't be happier!

This is the best "lasts the lifetime" backpack. I only buy LLB backpacks for the whole family and they are never disappointed. Cute prints, enough room, but the quality is the main reason why I buy them. They are used everyday for all needs, serving as a diaper bag, a sports bag, a book bag and even a shopping bag. I buy the matching lunch bags and pencil pouches too.

I absolutely love L.L. Bean Bookbags they are so sturdy and provide great comfort with the padded straps. All 3 of my kids have one. My daughter is very petite for her age and this bookbag is not too big for her which was one of concerns. This is a must have!!!!

This is my daughter's 2nd L.L. Bean backpack. She still has her old one that is 7 years old, still going strong, and still looks great! She, however, wanted to get a new one for Junior High. This is so perfect for her because although it is a bit more compact, it fits so much stuff! The laptop section is perfect for her device and this will fit into her locker when needed with ease. These are the most durable and strongest backpacks we have ever used...and with 3 kids, we've gone through plenty. They really hold up well and we have been so happy with L.L.Bean school products!

I've been a life long LL Bean customer for good reason. It's a tradition to use an LL Bean backpack in our family and my oldest used his junior backpack for the past four years. He asked for a bigger one now that he is moving to the next level and although his original kindergarten backpack is still in great shape I obliged. This style is great for what he needs it for! It's got room for his chrome book and the many folders and binders they have. He loves the print and all the extra pockets for his tissues, hand sanitizer and extra masks. We are so happy with it!
