I had such a hard time picking a design for my not so girly granddaughter. This one is perfect, she absolutely loves it. Great construction, lots of pockets, plenty of room for school supplies, lunch box and her water bottle.

Color was beautiful Compartments very roomy. Loved this for weekend traveler. Perfect for non overhead storage and fit under the front seat perfectly! A great great backpack!!

Bought this when my Granddaughter was starting the second grade. She is now in the 11th grade and still using the same backpack! I'm looking to buy her a new one just because the corner of one of the front zipper is starting to wear out. I told my daughter about how well they wear and she has bought 3 of them when each of her children when they started kindergarten. The oldest is in the sixth grade and they are still like new. Well worth the money!!!! Thanks

My 6th grader is very happy to have a backpack that will not fall apart for all the books she has to carry like the one she had prior to getting her new L.L. Bean Deluxe Book Pack. She had only one complaint the color.. I chose a darker color because of dirt and I didn't want her to have a lighter colored one. Thanks to my husband for telling me to order from you all.

At the start of the 2019 school year, I purchased this back pack for my 7th grader on a friends recommendation that the backpacks can be replaced if damaged. When it came in, I loved how much room the pack has, and after a few weeks, ordered a second, in a smaller version for my 2nd grader, and a third, like the one pictured, for myself in a different style for me while I'm graduate school, and traveling. These packs have plenty of space for a computer, and all the books and things you want to cram inside. They are attractive and high quality. I love that this is the last backpack that I will have to purchase for my kids! Although the backpacks are more expensive upfront, I'm eager for the lifetime savings of investing in this line of bags. No more backpack buying for me!!

This backpack was for our 10 year old son. He was thrilled with it and so far it looks like new - which is a miracle in itself!

These are the best backpacks on the market! It's the only brand backpack I'm willing to buy. I've been using L.L. Bean backpacks for literally 40 years since I was a kid. They last forever. You basically buy one and it lasts through elementary school through college. If we get bored with the design we may may buy another one at some point, but not because the bag is no good anymore.

30 Years ago my kids used them now my Grandchildren are using them they hold up real well never had one fall apart. Plus it was on sale gave it to my Granddaughter for her birthday,we choose the flower print.

I'm happy to say that the excellent quality hasn't changed since I was a kid. The backpacks are extremely well made, and the price was outstanding. They even shipped fairly quickly. Definitely will buy again.

Our 8-year-old daughter loves her new backpack. It's a little big for her, but she'll grow into it. It has plenty of room for everything she needs to take to school.

As always, LLBean exceeds expectations! We bought the backpack for our 10th grade daughter. She needed a big (but not too big), roomy, durable backpack for school and all of her activities. This backpack is roomy, very durable, lots (but not too many) of pockets for smaller items - and it looks great!

My middle schooler loves these backpacks. She usually has a TON of books and this seems to help her carry without hurting her back.

Feels very sturdy and will last at least the whole school year. We have a junior size one my daughter had previously that is still in great shape and several years old. She needed a bigger backpack now that she is in an older grade.

My 3rd grader picked this out for an upgrade from her LL Bean discovery backback she's had since Kindergarten. She LOVES it. It has a ton of space that will grow with her as she needs to make room in the older elementary years. She LOVES the style and colors. I love that it is functional and high quality.

I bought this bookbag for my 6 year old daughter than is in 1st grade. This bag is a little bigger than what she needs for everyday, however being that we live in the South, it is cool in the mornings and super hot in the afternoons. She can fit all the items in her book bag including her jacket, books, lunch box, even an extra pair of shoes. She says this bag is comfortable to wear and light weight. I buy all my kids only LL Bean bags every year, and not because they wear out, but they are made very well, just because they like the new patterns that come out.

Had same style bookbag when I was in school 20 years ago. Bought for my daughter she loves it still good quality.

Bought this for my granddaughter. She absolutely loves it because, "It has enough pockets for all my school stuff!". Construction is excellent and finishing is what I've come to expect from the products I buy from L. L. Bean. Would highly recommend for your school-aged children!

I bought this backpack for our grandson. It arrived earlier than anticipated and he loves it. Everything he needs for school fits in it. It is also monogramed with his name.

I'm in my second year of grad school, and this year I decided to downsize from the (enormous) Super Deluxe to the Deluxe. Thankfully you guys have added side mesh pockets for my caffeine supply and sunglasses/phone since my last one. Right now I have 3 notebooks, a laptop, a pile of grading, my 2-inch-thick algorithms textbook, an umbrella, a sweater, and assorted junk in there, with room to spare. I've had some version of this backpack since elementary school, and I wouldn't buy any other school bag! If I had one minor gripe, I do miss the little mesh pocket on the strap of the Super Deluxe. I used to keep my ID/key card in there, to unlock buildings and labs. It's a little annoying to have to take my bag off and dig for my ID if I'm carrying other stuff.

I love my book pack, but as a mom I got it to use as a carry-on bag for traveling, and other family day outings. I love the floral print, but what I really love is how much fits in the bag without it seeming giant. I was able to pack it with 4 beach towels and a few other odds and ends for a day of SUP/kayaking with my son and his friends. In addition to the capacity, the various pockets and inside organizing system is very functional. I'm looking forward to using it again on a longer trip and flying with it.

We buy a new monogrammed book bag every year for our daughter. She loves picking out a design from the many available and loves changing up the style of her monogram. The bag itself is practically indestructible, has tons of room, very well made and keeps her extremely organized. Lots of pockets and places for everything she carry's.
