I purchased this for my 8 year old son, who is starting 3rd grade. The quality, colors and durability of this bag cannot be beat! One issue we have with it is that the side pockets for water bottles are not very deep. He has a moderately sized water bottle for school and it won't stay in the side pockets at all. Not a deal breaker and we are overall still happy - but definitely worth noting!

I bought the junior book bag for my son and he used that for preschool, Kindergarten & 1st grade. The bag is still in good shape. He is taller and needed a bigger bag so I bought him this one.

Great backpack with lots of pockets. My son loves this. The orange straps are VERY bright, which he likes (I think more bright than the photos show). Feels like it will last.

My son chose this school bag on his on. He said he loved the colors. I was looking for a bag that was going to last, since he went through 2 school bags last year. Seems sturdy. Great colors. The compartments are a plus. Just the right size for 4th grade! I have my son has this for years to come!

Grandson picked this out for 1st grade. He loves all the pockets.

It's perfect! I only wish there was a matching lunch box; this backpack will help my Kindergartner and will grow with him well into 2nd grade. It perfectly fits that take-home folder, water bottle, jacket, extra clothes, a snack and it's not bulky or heavy.

It's bigger than what we need for Kindergarten this year but at the same time it's not oversized for him and he won't outgrow in the next few years. I like that we can put his folders in one of the big pockets and his snacks/lunch in the other one to keep them separate. I like that there's inside organization pockets, but not too many him to lose things/forget where he put them.

So many great pockets, my son loves it! And it's lightweight and easy for him (5 years old) to carry himself.
