This is my sons 3rd LL Bean backpack. He outgrew the first two and both were passed down and used for my nephew. They're affordable and tough as nails.

Purchased for my 6th grader who needed something with more space and durability. It's the perfect size to hold a lot and we know it will last a long time. I remember having one from middle school through high school - it was the best backpack ever

Love this backpack! So functional and durable. Just got this for my youngest- my older has had it for years and it still looks brand new!

Great solid backpack for my 6th grader, that needed extra room in his backpack. His school doesn't have lockers and he has to carry various folders and supplies throughout the day. Shoulder pads thick,but not too thick. Water bottle pockets good sized. He carried the smaller model all through elementary school and has retired it to become an overnight bag.

My grandson is 11 and entered 6 th grade this year. He chose this color, I had it monogrammed. He says he likes it. We'll see how it holds up. I'm counting on L.L. Beans' reputation to be deserved.

This is the third time I've bought this backpack for my middle schooler. This backpack fits everything for my son. The different compartments help him to stay organized. There's a place for his laptop, textbooks, lunch, snacks, cell phone, wallet and more room for other things. Keep making great backpacks

This is probably the only backpack out there that can hold what a high schooler needs. We purchased 4 backpacks and although some were a little trendier, this one won out because of its capacity and its timeless style. My daughter plays sports so she needs to be able to carry books as well as a change of clothes; she also needs a stretchy pocket for a large water bottle. This one fits the bill. We got the lavender which is really just a greyish blush pink. Pretty backpack with all the heft required for high school. Definitely recommend, and would suggest more colors please!

Bought this for my son, he's a very tall 5 year old. I was worried it might be too big but once he adds his lunchbox and snack plus school work, it's perfect. He loves it and seems like it should hold up nicely.

I gave this backpack to my granddaughter on her Fourth of July birthday. She started school last week and just loves all the compartments this backpack has. She also loves the color. It is a vintage lavender color. She's in fifth grade and she told me today that she wants to use it until she's in eighth grade. It looks very well made.

My daughter loves her new book bag! She definitely needed the bigger heavier duty bag for 4th grade. The personalization was a great added bonus for her.

We love this back pack! It's perfect! We love how the backpack has 2 zippered sections. My son graduated from his LL bean preschool bag. He loves it! He's the one that reminded me to write this review because he loves it so much!

I still have one of these backpacks that my brother used in the late 90's. He passed it down to me to use in college. I graduated college in 2004. I still have the backpack in 2024. The only thing wrong with it is that the silicone/ rubber liner on the inside is peeling off. The rest of the bag is still in great shape. No rips, no tears, nothing! Buy it!

This is 3rd year I have donated 2-3 blue book packs more geared to older kids for Back to School event organized by church in our community. These are usually first to go and the older kids love them! Thanks for making such durable book bags!!

We've used these backpacks for dozens of years and love them. Great quality, roomy enough to hold laptops, books, notebooks, and so durable. This pack replaced one that my son used everyday for 4 years. You can't go wrong with these packs.
