I have wanted an LL Bean backpack since I was in high school back in 1995. My parents couldn't afford one. I was so envious of my friends with their monogrammed backpacks. Well, to celebrate my 30th high school reunion, I finally realized my dream. As a teacher and graduate student, it definitely meets my expectations!

Comfortable and durable backpack for my 5th grader

This backpack replaced one that my son had passed along to me after he used it through high school and college. It survived a lot of abuse and the new one looks like it's made just as well, plus it has some new features. So I feel confident it will do well. I can't think of anything that would make it better.

Perfect gift for my school age grandsons. Loved that the monograms were free when I ordered. Excellent quality and should last for many years.

My daughter loves her new backpack. Two compartments vs one has been useful. Highly recommend this bag!

I've used my LL Bean backpack for 17 years! All through high school, college, and post-college for trips, etc. It doesn't let me down. Fits a ton of stuff for flying if you are only allowed a personal item.

Excellent quality & received within a week MONOGRAMMED!

My now middle school-aged daughter has outgrown her elementary bag with unicorns all over it, so we got this book bag for her birthday. It's a beautiful eggplant color, monogramming was perfectly done, and my daughter loves that the clips and edging details on the bag are lavender instead of white or black. She carries her bag everywhere and couldn't be happier.

My parents bought me one of these in 2011 for college. I used it daily for four years, then frequent use including several international trips. I was not kind to this bag and even washed many times in the washing machine! It has only recently developed a small tear. And did I mention this thing is HUGE? You can fit so much in here, and it expands to exactly the limit of an airplane carryon. I'm back browsing because I want to replace it, thanks to that tear. My husband has gone through four or five off-brand $20 backpacks in the time I've had this one. Definitely worth it.

I have bought several of these backpack for multipurpose issues for kids backpacks for a baby bag. I just love these backpacks and will always continue to buy L.L. Bean

These backpacks last for more than 5-6 years with heavy books being brought to school every day. The only reason I bought a new one was because my son needed the larger size?

The backpack is well made. It has lots of room and pockets to put smaller things. Great for a middle-schooler.

Seems like a great pack, but it's not big enough if your kid has homework in all of his AP classes and needs to pack around all those massive books. We went for the Super Deluxe III book pack instead

This backpack has so many useful pockets and for the few weeks we have had it -it has been great and just what my 11'yo was hoping for for his bday. He wanted a slightly larger bag but more importantly with pockets. He says it's really comfortable to wear. Will see how it holds up but seems very well made. Can fit his snow gear and school folder and spare shoes or boots and a side pocket that holds his water bottle well. Highly recommend

This is the best backpack ever! My grandson had the same one for at least ten years, and when it was worn decided to get the same one. There is no other backpack in the world that holds up to rough usage as well and which takes all the gear and "stuff" he needs. It's just absolutely a great item.
