The L.L.Bean backpack is amazingdurable, roomy, and super comfortable to wear. I love how many pockets it has, and the quality feels built to last. Perfect for school, travel, or everyday use!

Over the last 9 years, our kids have carried two different sizes of L.L. Bean backpacks, and we have always been happy with their quality. We just bought the deluxe size for our 6th grader (5' tall). Our 8th grader (5'10") has also carried the deluxe size for the last 2 years, and is now going into his 3rd year with it. The deluxe size currently works for both kids, without looking too big or too small. It comfortably fits their 2" binders with a lunch box and a few additional items. Over the years, we have never had any issues with zippers or straps. I love the clip for keeping house keys secure. Our kids enjoy all the different compartments. Having 2 exterior pockets is great. Our only complaint is that the mesh pockets tend to wear out and get small holes due to holding an 18-oz. water bottle daily. However, I think given how long we've had our bags and the frequency of use, that's pretty good. Our kids like the backpacks and were sure to pick out colors they'll be happy to carry for a long time!

Love all the storage and the computer sleeve! It's a large bookbag but it's not heavy- it's our 2nd one and we love this style!!

Great bookbag as always. This is the third we have owned. (My favorite was hot pink that disappeared in a move. I wish deluxe still offered hot pink)

Love this backpack! I had an LL Bean in high school and decided it was time with my two oldest in middle school to get them a backpack that will hold up and last them through high school!!!

This backpack is replacing an LLBean pack back that my granddaughter has used for the past 7 years. The old backpack is still in great shape, she just wanted a new one for her birthday. She is starting her Junior year in H.S.

The first bookbag i bought was a light blue color for my then 3rd grader. It was carried for 4 years, no issue. We bought a 2nd bookbag for a different color in 7th grade. It was carried for 5 years til my child graduated. Now they get used for overnight trips. Both those bags were the large ones. For my 2nd child we got a junior backpack and used it for a diaper bag. Worked great. Used it for about 3 years. Bought a new one for a different color and have had it for 6 years. Stays in my car with extra clothes in it. No issues at all. Getting ready to buy my 4th grader a large size backpack. The only thing i suggest is if your child is like mine and throw their bookbag down just anywhere, is to buy a dark color.

Great size for my 11 year old daughter who is starting the sixth grad.

This pack is great. It holds a ton of gear, an iPad, water bottles etc. I bought it to replace an earlier model which started to fray inside the compartments after many years of hard use.

I'm very happy with my backpack! I just sold my car last month and take a ride service and bus and this is perfect and good fit.

The quality of this backpack is amazing! I had it monogrammed, and was not disappointed! This bag is sturdy, durable and elegant all at the same time! Shipping was very fast as well!

The high school grad we gifted this to was very pleased and is excited to have it for college. The green matches her eyes. :-)

My daughter will be a sophomore in high school and has had this backpack since sixth grade. Her schools don't have lockers so she's had this thing loaded down daily with all of her binders, notebooks, MacBook, etc. It's packed to the max every day. It still looks new and has held up perfectly. She's planning to use it through high school, maybe even college. She absolutely loves it!

Great backpack. I've purchased this for all of my grandchildren. They last for years, and wash beautifully.

My son outgrew his previous LL Bean backpack he's had since 1st grade, he is going into 6th grade this fall. LL Bean are the only backpacks I will buy! I still have mine from high school and i graduated in 2003!

We got this backpack for my 8 year old as her other backpack didn't have a lot of room. This has tons of space, with pockets for a laptop, folders and other items. The front pocket also has space for pens and even a key chain for house keys and such. The one downside is that it is much heavier than we expected.

Invested in this for my youngest who is going into 5th grade. She wants to keep it until she graduates. Very well made. Sturdy. We're going to scotch guard it and make sure she is mindful of where she drops it.

This is my ideal book pack. Sturdy construction and well designed.

I bought this for my son who is going off to college. It has plenty of room and a protective area for his laptop. I'm very happy with sturdy quality of the backpack.
