Very well put together...

My daughter is about to start pre-k and this is the perfect size. It can fit full size folders but is still smaller than a standard backpack that practically goes all the way down to her calves when she wears them. The back part is also semi solid in a way so that it gives more support and does not change shape if you have weird objects in there (like all their wordly possesions they want to bring with them on any vacation). The material itself feels thick and sturdy and is definitely waterproof. Great purchase!

Bought this for my 4 year old grandson. Just the right size for him and holds everything he needs for pre-school. Bought one of these 3 years ago for his now 7 year old brother and he is still using his everyday-for school, camp, soccer practice, and travel. I'm amazed at how well it has held up considering how rough he can be with it at times. Would highly recommend for 3-7 year olds.

I've purchased backpacks for my two children and now I am continuing the "tradition" and purchased this backpack for my granddaughter. LLBean backpacks are durable, functional and are made to last.

Excellent construction & fabric ! Somewhat larger than I expected!!

I bought this for my special needs granddaughter. She is 3 and needed a backpack to take to her classroom. It needed to be big enough to fit a regular sized folder, plus spare clothes and occasional extra stuff. This size is just perfect for her. It has padded straps and two extra little compartments we will most likely use when she is a little older. She loves putting it on in the morning to go to school. It will grow with her for several years and is very well constructed.

Got this bag for our son in kindergarten. It worked well for the year since all he ever had to put in it was a folder or two, the occasional library book, and his lunch box. It was also appropriately proportioned for his 5-6 year old body size. We never found the front accessory pockets useful-a single open pocket (without dividers, key loop, second pocket) would have sufficed. Side water bottle pocket came in handy, and I definitely appreciated the big reflector stripe. We found that once he got to first grade, where he had to carry more with him each day, this bag no longer fit the bill. Still in great shape, so we use it for weekend adventures and trips to grandma's.

I bought this for a 7-year-old grandson. He was very pleased to receive it. In fact, he has told me a number of times that he loves it. He said that he is happy that there is more room in it than there was in his old one. His mom and I are happy with the quality and the right size for his age.

We picked this up in Colony Center... They were amazing and rushed our monograming because we were waiting... My daughter is so in love, she said she is keeping it until she graduates college

I purchased this book bag for my 4 year old grandson for school. I LOVE the durability & the fact that they can literally last for years! I purchased 2 for my own children about 23 years ago. My son is 33 & he still has his! I highly recommend these bags.

I bought this for my small 1st grader and he loves it. The pattern is cute and it's comfortable and easy for him to carry. He loves that we had his name monogrammed on it also. It's well made and I expect it to last beyond this school year.

The backpack is great! The sharks were very appealing to my 5 year old grandson! It has an outside pocket for a water bottle, which is a great addition. It is well made and I expect it to last for a few years until he is big enough for a full-sized one.

My kindergartener grandson picked out the sharks print and he is just delighted. His Mom is delighted with how sturdy and well made it is. Perfect size for little ones.

My 4 year old loves her backpack. It is durable to be dragged to the beach or to school and easy for her to put on and zip by herself.

Just right for my first-grader grandson. Just sorry we couldn't get the dinosaur print because it was no longer available.

This backpack is perfect for my little kindergartner. It is sturdy and adorable.

Of course this bag has been perfect, just like every other bag we have purchased from here. (I'm a little sad that it's on sale now though.) We really love the dinosaur pattern and the colors. My son is only 2 right now so we are using this as our on the go bag, but he will using this when he starts preschool as well. Thank you L.L. Bean!

I purchased this pack as a pre-K gift for my 4 year-old great nephew. Absolutely perfect size for his small frame and he was so proud from the moment he saw it. The colorful, fun dino print made him smile and he absolutely loved having his name monogrammed on the pack to truly make it his own. Durable material and quality construction will hold up well over time. My favorite new feature added to the junior pack this year is the water bottle holder conveniently located on the side for quick, easy access. Wherever he goes, I know my little man can carry everything he needs in style.

I purchased this for my grandson and he loved it. The pack has good construction and padding and he loved the shark print which was even better than the pictures. Best of all it is perfect for a 4 year old in a junior size which is very hard to find.
